美国文化介绍美国文化：文学美国的文学被翻译为世界各种语言。
早在美国历史初期，美国就产生了许多杰出的作家。
最早的古柏 James Fenimore Cooper、霍桑Nathaniel Hawthorne以及欧文Washington Irving 描写出一个年轻并且不断成长的美国。
后来，梅尔维尔 Herman Melville 写出有关海洋的小说以探讨道德问题。
马克·吐温则表现了密西西比河上生活的情趣与幽默。
7个美国人曾经获得诺贝尔文学奖：剧作家尤金·欧尼尔与小说家索尔拜娄 Saul Bellow、赛珍珠、福克纳、海明威、辛克莱·路易士 Sinclair Lewis以及史坦贝克。
