一、教学目标
1、描述植物外形特征及其生长过程。
2、用已学句型来描述人和植物的关系。
3、能在语境中正确运用本单元的核心词汇。
4、培养细心观察事物的习惯。
5、掌握句型：There are many plants in my garden.
They have small green leaves.
It rains.
二、教学过程
1、呈现各种不同植物的生长图片，问学生这些植物的名称，引入新单词，全班朗读。
T:Look!Here are some pictures.What can you see?
S1:I can see some trees.
S2:I can see some flowers.
S3:I can see some grass.
T:Yes, these are plants.

2、播放录音，让学生看图听录音并跟读，初步了解短文内容。
3、让学生阅读短文，然后合上书，根据阅读内容，回答问题。
如：What are the plants like?/How do you take care of the plants?/What do the plants need?
4、教师将关键词写在黑板上，学生根据关键词说句子。
如：small and green,学生可以说the leaves are small and green.
5、Think and say播放一段录音，让学生找出符合内容的图片。
6、出示图片，针对植物的不同部位提问，让学生回答。
7、Enjoy a story.将故事图片顺序打乱，让学生边听故事边将图片按顺序排列。
8、学生模仿录音朗读故事。
关注学生的语音语调和情绪体现。
9、学生对故事内容和语句熟悉到一定程度后，可以播放动画或出示图片，让学生以为图配音的方式讲故事。
10、学生三人一组表演课本剧，鼓励学生增加角色，如太阳和雨水等。
11、学生分组活动，观察一种植物，画一画它的生长过程，并根据图片简单写一写它的生长过程。
12、出示Look and learn的单词卡片，让学生朗读单词，可以集体朗读，也可以分组个人朗读。
三、作业
1、画出你喜欢的一种植物，标出各部分的名称（英文），并将其简单介绍给大家。
2、掌握本单元核心词汇。
