Step 1Greeting T: Wele to our class. I believe we will have a good year.
Step 1：Lead－in
Lead－in by showing some pictures of China. Let the students reserve in groups
and ask questions about the pictures. Then present some of them in front of the class.

Step 2：Listening
Listen to the tape and know about the main points of the passage. At the same
time，fill in the blanks with the words you hear.
1.Canada and the U.S. are________of China.
2.The Palace Museum is________around the world.
Finish the task in class orally.
Step 3：Reading
Read the text and answer the following questions：
1.What language do people speak in China？
2.What can we see on China’s flag？
3.Where do pandas live？

Work in groups to finish the task. After a while，let some groups present their
notes in front of the class.
When the students are writing，the teacher can walk around the classroom to
solve the problems that probably happen.

Read the passage again，and ask the students to finish Exercises 1—2.
Ask the students to finish Exercise 4 in groups.

一、教材分析
1. 单元及课文分析
