翻译批评与赏析学期论文学院：高级翻译学院专业： 2014 级英语笔译姓名：王红伟学号： Y140254前言学习感悟本学期有幸选了陈老师开设的选修课—翻译批评与赏析,陈老师授课方式新颖独到，以德国功能翻译理论学派重要代表人物凯瑟琳娜·赖斯的《翻译批评：潜力与制约》一书为主线，以学生讲解老师总结答疑为主要方法，并穿插有课堂讨论，让学生各抒己见，畅所欲言，一学期的学习让我收获颇丰。
在未上陈老师的课之前，自己的翻译批评往往多是感性的翻译评论，没有系统的批评理念与批评模式，面对一个译本，只会从表层进行主观评判，既缺乏系统性又不具有客观性，难以服众。
经过一学期的学习我认识到翻译批评绝不是为了批评而批评，更不能带有学术偏见而起意气之争，相互攻讦，翻译批评应该是建设性的，必须公正、客观、全面，有理有据。
作为翻译专业研究生，更应该对翻译批评认真加以学习，用全面的眼光看待翻译，树立科学的翻译批评观，并将其用于指导、审视自己的翻译活动。
翻译批评的文本功能视角—兼评赖斯的文本类型理论摘要:凯瑟琳娜·赖斯是德国功能派翻译理论的主要奠基者，在其扛鼎之作《翻译批评：潜力与制约》中赖斯借鉴德国心理学家布勒的语言功能划分模式将文本划归为三种基本类型：信息型文本、表情型文本和操作型文本，并建议根据文本功能采取相应的翻译方法。
本文从赖斯的文本类型理论着手，结合不同文本译例，并对之加以述评。

赖斯的文本类型理论基本沿用了德国心理学家布勒的语言功能三分法影响，根据布勒的语言功能工具模式，赖斯把文本划分为三种主要类型，即信息型文本、表情型文本和操作型文本（亦称感染型）。

译文赏析与评论本文译文在以读者为核心这一点上没有做到极致，本文就译文质量和译文理解的问题做一简要分析，并对此做深入举例说明。
这是一篇略带文学气息的文章，围绕“传奇”这种作品形式为主题，对作者的写作风格进行分析品评。
1、翻译理念采用的翻译理念，多为直译，少数地方进行了变通。
先举例如下：WHEN a writer calls his work a Romance, it need hardly be observed that he wishes to claim a certain latitude, both as to its fashion and material, which he would not have felt himself entitled to assume had he professed to be writing a Novel.这一段译者的译文是：如果一位作家把他的作品称之为传奇，这就几乎不必说，他是希望在处理作品形式和素材方面都能有一定的自由，而如果他自称在写的是一部小说，就不会认为有权利享受这种自由了。
从英文的语序看来，译者是顺着语序翻译下来的，感觉围绕原文的部分太硬，没有译者的味道在里面，有的只是原文的某种“僵”。
个人感觉这段可以放的开一些，拙译为：如果一位作家认为自己写的是一部传奇，那面他指定是希望能够自由地处理作品形式，选择相应的素材；不过如果他写的是一部小说，那么他就不能享受到这样的自由度啦！原文和译文唯一也是最关键的存在是意思，含义，而不是单词。
翻译的本质在于沟通，在于通过文字与人交流，如果文字都令对方听的很拗口，又怎么能沟通好呢？不过这段的意思表述还是较清晰的，切合文意，惟独有一点，个人觉得译者放不开，被束缚住了，只要理解了作者的意图就可以啦，没有必要也没有人要求必须要“原字原话”。
每个人的译文都是自成体系的，从此一处也可管中窥豹，可见一斑。
随后的分析会使整个译文的翻译理念更加清晰。

示例一：次日天未明，刘姥姥便起来梳洗了，又将板儿教训了几句。
杨，戴译本：The next day Granny Liu got up before dawn to wash and comb her hair and to coach Baner.Hawkes译本: Next day Grannie Liu was up before dawn. As soon as she had washed and done her hair, she set about teaching Baner a few words to say to the ladies at the great house——an exercise to which he submitted cheerfully enough.Chi-Chen Wang译本: The next morning, Liu Lao-Lao got up before dawn, combed her hair and washed her face, and coached Pan-er. 红色部分，我觉得杨，戴的版本比较好。
Granny和Grannie虽都有老奶奶的意思，但是Grannie更多侧重祖母的意思，与贾府老祖宗的名字有冲突：Liu Lao-Lao 如果是对红楼梦这一名著不了解的人或是老外看来的话会认为Liu是姓，Lao-Lao是名，实则只是称谓罢了。
黄色部分,我觉得Chi-Chen Wang的版本比较好。
按照常人的传统，一般是先梳头发再洗脸，而如果先洗脸再梳头发有可能把头发弄湿。
而Hawkes译为done指意不清，不一定是comb，也有可能是整理头发的意思。
示例二：刘姥姥便说:“原是特来瞧瞧嫂子你，二则也请请姑太太的安。
若可以领我见一见更好，若不能，便借重嫂子转致意罢了。
”杨，戴译本“I came expecially to see you, sister, and also to inquire after Her layship’s health. If you could take me to see her, that would be nice. If you can’t, I’ll just trouble you to pass on my respects.Hawkes译本“ I have come just to see you, ” the latter answered. “ But I would like to present my greetings to our Ku Tai-tai 【madam Wang] as long as I am here.
