交易动机是人们为了日常交易的方便而在手头保留一部分货币。

谨慎动机也叫预防动机,是人们需要保留一部分货币以备未曾预料的支付。

投机动机是指由于未来利息率的不确定,人们为避免资本损失或增加资本收益,及时调整资产结构而形成的对货币的需求。

投机性货币需求同利率的高低呈反方向变化,是利率的递减函数。

由交易动机和谨慎动机而产生的货币需求一般用于商品或劳务交易,称为交易性货币需求,用L1 表示,是收入Y 的递增函数,即11(i );货币总需求L 由交易性货币需求和投机性货币需求构成,利率的递减函数,即L = L22(Y )+L2(i ),表明对货币的总需求是由收入和利率两个因素决定的。

利率是衡量生息资本增殖程度的尺度。

从现实角度考虑,有以下几个影响利率的因素:①平均利润率利润是借贷资本家和职能资本家可分割的总额,当资本量一定时,平均利润率的高低决定着利润总量,平均利润率越高,则利润总量越大。

而利息实质上是利润的一部分,所以利息率要受到平均利润率的约束。

因此平均利润率越高,则利率越高。

②借贷成本它主要包括两类成本:一是借入资金的成本,二是业务费用。

银行再贷款时必然会通过收益来补偿其耗费的成本,并获得利差,所以它在确定贷款利率水平时,就必然要求贷款利率高于存款利率和业务费用之和,否则银行就无利可图甚至出现亏损。

总结来看央行调整M2统计口径主要出于两方面的因素:第一,当然是因为银行部分存款表外化,这样就不用交存款准备金,可以多留资金,央行当然要随着形势变化调整,把这部分纳入监管;第二,就是M2增速下来很快,而实际的货币供给量应该不会有如此快的下降,这说明统计口径有所偏差,需要修改。
