So he decided that the polluted water carried cholera. He suggested that the _s_o_u_r_ce__ of all water supply be _e_x_a_m__in_e_d__ and new methods of _d_e_a_l_in__g_ with polluted water be found. Finally, “King Cholera” was defeated.
