为了提高学生英语口语、听力能力,培养学生组织创作意识,我在高三年级六班组织了英语主题班会“The Colorful Middle School Life”.
班会进行中穿插话剧、舞蹈、歌曲、诗朗诵、绘画、武术、评论等项目。
“Remembering still such night, remembering still such star-shining sky…”一首音乐诗拉开了主题班会的序幕。
“Five! Four! Three! Two! One! Zero!”,两位主持人在掌声中落落大方地走进会场。
“What is the youth? The youth is the early sun.”主持人一席充满激情的开场白,一口流利的英语将大家带入了英语主题班会的气氛中。
一个由六位学生表演的反映应试教育弊端的话剧“考场风波”首先登台亮相。
这一话剧揭示了中学生现实生活中的舞弊现象,不失为一个典型的反面教材。
“文艺搭台,经济唱戏。
”这里借用一下“话剧搭台,评论唱戏”。
精采的话剧是为了引出精采的评论,学生们以自己独特的眼光对目前教育存在的问题发表了看法,同时也对舞弊现象进行了尖锐的批评。
两位学生的英文歌曲“The Whole New World”赢得了全场阵阵的掌声。
全班学生还齐唱了“My Heart Will Go On”。
学生们深情的演唱,娓娓道出对人性、亲情、爱情的看法。
学生们的歌唱得不错,对电影“泰坦尼克号”的评论更出色。
有些学生对此提出问题:中学生应该欣赏什么?我们不应该过分地崇拜、追寻男女主角的帅气与靓丽,应该领悟那种不屈于命运的抗争,那种对人格尊严的维护,那种超越缱绻情结的责任感,一番针针见血的英语评论博得了观众雷鸣般的掌声。
随后主持人又把我们带进了另一个由七位学生自编、自导、自演的话剧“托起明天的太阳”。
话剧由三场组成。
第一场是母亲为女儿做清洁工,送鸡汤,反映了当今现实生活中父母对儿女的溺爱,伤害了青年一代独立自主的能力,与后面第二场中描述的那位迫于生计的辍学生形成鲜明对比。
第二声由辍学生“小东”开始,当她交了辍学书回教室收拾书包准备回乡时,正碰上前来送学费的贫穷父亲,矛盾冲突在这里达到了顶峰。
父亲一心想让孩子念好书,气极之下吞下了那份辍学书,父亲的一席肺腑之言:“Though I am poor,I want you to go to college. I want you to study hard.”女儿一声声悲怆的呼喊:“Dear father, I understand you.
I must study hard.”小演员们流利的英语,娴熟、真诚、动人的表演把剧情推向了高潮,使在场的一些师生感动得流泪。
第三场是思想的升华,全班学生都向贫困学生“小东”伸出援助之手,人间的真爱在一曲“爱的奉献”中得以演绎和升华;接下来还有学生们的独舞,武术表演等,从德智各方面反映了学生们在中学时代的全面发展。
主题班会在一曲由七位学生表演的轻快的歌舞“Do Rey Me”中落下帷幕。
整个英语主题班会由丰富多彩的节目组成,参与人次多达三十多,穿插的评论人次多达二十多,显示出青年一代潜在的巨大能力。
