天鹅湖电影观后感英文版Title: Reflection on "Swan Lake" Film"Swan Lake," a timeless classic ballet, has been adapted into various forms of art, including films. Watching the film adaptation of this iconic ballet was a mesmerizing experience that left a profound impact on me. In this reflection, I will delve into the themes, character portrayals, cinematography, and emotional resonance of the "Swan Lake" film.First and foremost, the film adeptly captured the overarching theme of duality and transformation. The juxtaposition between the White Swan and the Black Swan, symbolizing purity and innocence versus seduction and malevolence, was portrayed with exquisite nuance. The protagonist's internal struggle, torn between these contrasting identities, was palpable throughout the film. This thematic exploration of the human psyche resonateddeeply with me, prompting introspection into the complexities of human nature.Furthermore, the character portrayals were outstanding, breathing life into the iconic roles of Odette/Odile and Prince Siegfried. The delicate grace of the prima ballerina portraying Odette contrasted with the fiery passion of her portrayal as Odile, showcasing the versatility and depth of the performer. Similarly, Prince Siegfried's journey from naivety to remorse was depicted with emotional authenticity, eliciting empathy from the audience.Cinematographically, the film was a visual feast, with breathtaking scenery and meticulously choreographed dance sequences. The ethereal beauty of the swan lake, shrouded in mist and moonlight, provided a captivating backdrop for the unfolding drama. Each dance movement was captured with precision, allowing the audience to fully appreciate the artistry and athleticism of the performers. Moreover, the emotional resonance of the film was undeniable, evoking a myriad of feelings ranging from heartache to awe. As Odette and Siegfried's tragic love story unfolded on screen, I found myself deeply moved by their plight. The hauntingly beautiful score, coupled with the poignant performances, elicited tears and applause in equal measure. In conclusion, the film adaptation of "Swan Lake" is a cinematic masterpiece that transcends the boundaries of time and genre. Its exploration of themes, compelling character portrayals, stunning cinematography, and emotional depth collectively contribute to its enduring legacy. Watching this film was not merely a form of entertainment but a profound artistic experience that left an indelible impression on my soul.。

"Hero" in Black SwanBlack Swan is psychological thriller film,It indeed make me feel a little scared after I saw this film. However, the fear let me understand Nina more who is the "Hero" in the film in terms of Vogler's Seven Character Archetypes. In Vogler's character theory, the Hero serves as the focus of audience identification, and grows as a human being through the course of the film in Dramatic Function.Additionally, the Hero's growth is predicated on his making a great sacrifice. So was Nina,as the Hero in the film.Nina was a young ballerina in a ballet company which was preparing for a production of Swan Lake. The main actress was required to perform both the innocent, fragile white swan and the evil, seductive black swan.Nina endeavoured to the role―Swan Queen, but was told lack passion and charm when in the role of black swan.During her process of practising to be a real black swan,Lily, her understudy, performed better and was more suitable for the role of black swan while Nina desired the role extremely. Therefore it made Nina crazy and showed a series of strong delusions. For instance, one evening,Lily went to Nina's home and invited her to a bar, when returning home in her own room,Nina hallucinated an image of having sex with Lily.I think this image appeared because Nina wanted to be seductive too much that she wanted an experience of tounching sex in order to be sexy.Take another example,Beth was the idol of Nina ,so she stole something of Beth. When she visited Beth the second time in hospital to give back these things including a knife ,she saw Beth disfiguring herself with the knife,Nina scared and ran away.It was also a delusion.I believe Nina was much too afraid of failure and the bad situation of Beth who lost everything. At last,Nina succeed and danced perfectly as the black swan though she hallucinated again and finally stabed herself ,making enormous sacrifices. As the Psychological Function of "Hero" says, the "Hero's journey" represents the ego's journey towards completeness through the recognition and incorporation of hitherto unacknowledged aspects of the self, Nina's journey shows her complete change through self-recognition of inside though sacrifice a lot.Yinyan1225。

A Film Review of “Black Swan”
When I was young, I liked watching films about adventure, action, comedy, which are considered to be for all-ages. However, when time passes, I begin being fond of the psychological films, which are considered to be more difficult and sometimes, cliffhanging, even thrilling.
“Black Swan” is defined as a psychological, thrilling and horrible film, which is exactly what I am inclined to these days. It is, I suppose, because of my constellation --- Scorpio , that I believe everyone is like a coin, that every coin has two sides, and so does human being. This film, “Black Swan” is about a girl, Nina, who is a ballet dancer, trying to get the main character --- Swan Queen, of the drama, “The Swan Lake”. However, she comes to a dilemma that she can perfectly interpret the character of White Swan, which is full of purity and innocence, but not Black Swan, which overflows with anger and hatred. During her process of fathoming the dark side, she starts to have illusion, and that deeply influences her daily life. Eventually, she makes it. She can immediately change from White Swan to Black Swan and embody both of them precisely and beautifully, but, this enormous fame costs her life.
“Black Swan” is undoubtedly an excellent film. Though I am not a professional in this field, technically speaking, it does attract me a lot. The director can precisely catch people’s thinking and feeling, that every scene will make the audience emotion uneasy, especially when it comes to the second half of the film. It is not like other films that there will be some funny parts in the middle of the film. The only atmosphere which lasts and penetrates the whole film is psychological horror.
At the beginning of the film, Nina shows great eagerness to fight for the Swan Queen. She keeps practicing every day, even she gets injured. Yet after she gets it, she does not realise that her life has changed. She does not show great happiness after she is told to have been elected. In this plot, the director delicately films it with a background which is a combination of black and white, which brings out a tragic atmosphere. As a result, people can feel that it is not the beginning to success, but to death.
In the following part of the film, Nina starts to have illusion. She sees the dark side of her inner heart when she meets people. She loses her temper, her sensibility and her norm. She gradually leaves her mother. The director films these plots with “absolute darkness”. Whenever I finish watching this film, I will always be melancholic for a while, for I am still shocked by the extremely wonderful but horrible plots. Most of my friends tell me that they are shocked too after watching it. One more important point is the process of turning into Black Swan. The director does not directly show the audience that Nina is able to interpret Black Swan all of a sudden, but through her hard work, effort, and her illusive thinking, she slowly transforms to it. There are so many tiny details which illustrateher transformation from purity to resentfulness. Every detail makes people fear. At the end of the film, before Nina’s death, she says, “I felt perfect. I was perfect.”Concerning about its tense, I think this sentence contains two meanings. The first one is that she has finished embodying the character, so she uses past tense. The second one is that she knows she will never be perfect again. Perfection exists once in her life only, and then, it no longer appears, since she is dying.
During the whole film, there is never a piece of cheerful music, even the music played for White Swan, the purity. All other pieces of music are related to melancholy, indignation and abomination, in spite of the fact that they are all classical. Personally speaking, it is a wonderful collocation with the theme, and that it controls people’s feeling. When people hear the music, they are apt to have the same feeling of sadness, anger and hatred as well. I believe it is also a factor which makes this film successful.
Overall, “Black Swan” is really a worth-watching film. It deeply describes people’s inner mind and their dark side, that if anyone goes too near to extreme, he or she is supposed to be going to the hell, that he or she will lose his or her mind, thinking, and even life.
Ishan . Chan。
