The Beggars In China 中国的穷人 英语作文

KaiYang Xiao9/17/2013ENG 100I-12《Spare Change》The Beggars In ChinaAfter reading this passage, the poor woman reminded me a lot about the poor, even beggars in my country. I felt The writer’s mixed feelings resonate with me when I was reading. There are a number of beggars, but most of them are not beggars at all. According to experienced adults :“It is always a scam”.A beggar, about 50 years, donated 300 RMB (about 50 dollars ) to the disaster areas when the China WenChuan earthquake in 2008 , which made us moved and ashamed deeply. However, what astonished us more was that the police found out the old man had two wives ,a child and a villa in his hometown, and used to be a public official.(The police received an order to take care of the old beggar because of his warmhearted and kind quality) .This is one of the stories about the frauds .People are willing to help the old, the disabled and homeless children instead of young person with the ability to earn money by themselves, even though they could not do a judgment accurately. You can see the deformed people hang out on the busy city streets and even creep alongthe roads. I often give them money.I also found an interesting phenomenon: there is a remarkable difference between America and china in the characteristic of the homeless people. Most of them in China are the elderly and children, they will ask you for some change with a dirty box; whereas most of them are young adults just sitting there who had the board of explanation in front of them in the USA. This tendency indicates that tramps from America are lazy, and the government supports the poor rather than the lazy. On the contrary, authentic vagrants in China have to making a living by themselves. Government of China should take more actions to deal with this problem. The environment of China is harsh: the rich get richer while the poor get poorer. A great amount of poverty still exists, especially in the countryside of our country. No matter how developed the economy is, you could see beggars wherever you go. Not only should the government take effective measures to tackle it, but also our own effort. Using your good judgment, but do not be stingy. Someone could really need your help.。
