关于春节的故事英文版

关于春节的故事英文版The Story of the Chinese New YearThe Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is the most important traditional holiday in China. It marks the beginning of a new year in the Chinese lunar calendar and is celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy.The story of the Chinese New Year begins with the legend of the Monster Nian. Long ago, in ancient China, there lived a fearsome beast named Nian, who was said to emerge from the sea every winter and devour everything in its path, causing great fear and devastation. People were terrified of Nian and lived in constant fear. However, there was a wise old man in the village who proposed a plan to defeat Nian. He suggested that on the eve of the New Year, people should stay up late, make loud noises, and light bright fires to scare away the beast. They should also place red paper decorations on their doors to confuse Nian, as it was afraid of bright colors and loud noises. The villagers agreed to the plan, and on the eve of the New Year, they stayed up late, made loud noises, and lit bright fires. They also placed red paper decorations on their doors. When Nian emerged from the sea, it was startled by the bright lights, loud noises, and red paper decorations. Terrified, it fled back to the sea and never returned. From then on, the villagers celebrated this victory by holding a feast on the first day of the New Year. They called it "Guo Nian," which means "to survive the year" or "to overcome Nian."Over time, this celebration transformed into the Spring Festival, which is now celebrated throughout China and other parts of the world with great joy and enthusiasm. During the Spring Festival, families gather together to celebrate, exchange gifts, and enjoy a reunion dinner. Red paper decorations, fireworks, and lion dances are common sights during this festival, symbolizing good luck, prosperity, and happiness. The Chinese New Year is a time for renewal and reflection, a time to look forward to a new year of peace, health, and happiness. In conclusion, the story of the Chinese New Year is a powerful reminder of the importance of unity, courage, and faith in overcoming困难和挑战。

Its origin is too old to be traced. Severalexplanations are hanging around. All agree, however, that the word Nian, which in modernChinese solely means year, was originally the name of a monster beast that started to prey onpeople the night before the beginning of a new year. One legend goes that the beast Nian had a very big mouth that would swallow a great manypeople with one bite. People were very scared. One day,an old man came to their rescue, offering to subdue Nian. To Nian he said,I hear say that you are very capable, but can youswallow the other beasts of prey on earth instead of people who are by nomeans of yourworthy opponents? So,it did swallow many of the beasts of prey on earth that alsoharrassed people and their domestic animals from time to time. After that, the old man disappeared riding the beast Nian. He turned out to be an immortalgod. Now that Nian is gone and other beasts of prey are also scared into forests, peoplebegin to enjoy their peaceful life. Before the old man left,he had told people to put up redpaper decorations on their windows and doors at each year's end to scare away Nian in case itsneaked back again, because red is the color the beast feared the most. From then on,the tradition of observing the conquest of Nian is carried on from generation togeneration. The term Guo Nian, which may mean Survive the Nian becomes today Celebratethe (New) Year as the word guo in Chinese having both the meaning of pass-over andobserve. The custom of putting up red paper and firing fire-crackers to scare away Nian shouldit have a chance to run loose is still around. However, people today have long forgotten whythey are doing all this, except that they feel the color and the sound add to the excitement ofthe celebration.关于春节的儿童英语故事篇2a long time ago in china livedthe jade emperor. it was his birthday. he wanted to measure time to know how old he was.很久很久以前住着一位玉皇大帝,有一天他的生日到了,他想测量一下时间,好让他知道自己已经多少岁了。

Years passed and nothing serious happened, so people were less worried about Nian. They no longer set up everything earlier, checked all the doors or stayed up all night during “Nian Guan” but lived a more usual life. The peace was suddenly broken when Nian broke into a village in Jiangnan on a New Year’s Eve and killed almost all the people.
Later, people figured out that Nian came into villages every 365 days to hunt humans deep in the night and went back to the woods at dawn.
The night Nian came was called “Nian Guan”, the last night of a year. On this day, dinner was ready much earlier than before. People cleaned up the kitchen, checked the livestock and locked up all the doors. After everything was set, they began to have dinner.
For this dinner might be the last one they could ever have, it was very splendid. Before the feast, people worshipped their ancestors, praying for a safe and sound night. Then every single member of the family gathered around the table to enjoy the family reunion.
After the dinner, no one dared to sleep. They stayed up all night, chatting with each other to get rid of the fear in the dim light of the candle or oil lamp. This is New Year’s Eve, a time to wave goodbye to the past and look forwar——注:本儿童绘本只在线发布电子版,无纸质图书

扫一扫 收听《pon a time, a monster called Nian lived in the deepest forest. It was so fearsome and fierce that creatures up in the sky, down on the earth and deep in the sea could all be served as its meal. It hunted different creatures everyday and even human beings couldn’t escape from it. People were terrified of it.
After some time, the sun rose in the long crow of roosters and the fierce and foolish monster reluctantly went back to the woods.
People were very happy that they got through “ Nian Guan”. They thanked for their ancestors’ blessing and congratulated each other on their survival through the night. They also set off fireworks and visited their neighbors. This is “ Bai Nian” and the whole village was in festive mood.
Only a newly married couple and some children survived. The couple, who was dressing in big red clothes, was decorating their house with red curtains; the children were setting fire to some bamboos which later crackled across and lit up the whole yard. It was discovered that Nian immediately ran away when it came to that bright, noisy yard.
The sun went down and darkness fell. Nian came out of the woods and tiptoed to villages. To its disappointment, doors were firmly closed and streets were totally empty. Only some sesame stems could be found piled up in front of the doors. Nian went through the villages and got nothing but some sesame stems to chew.
