Summary of Episode 1, Season1 of Ugly Betty Content:Betty applied for a position in Meade Publications. But she was refused even before the interview simply because she looked ugly. Her boss, Daniel, tried all means to make her quit her job. However, when Daniel found he had been betrayed by the photographer, he adopted Betty’s idea for Fabia Cosmetics. Since then, Betty became Daniel’s good helper.Betty’s excellent performance at work reminds me of an old saying “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. Although Betty didn’t look as pretty as other girls at Mode, she possessed many virtues that most girls were hardly comparable with. She was perseverant and self-esteemed.
