有些学生辅导书也买了不少，可越学越搞不懂。
其关键就在于单词不熟，记不住，记不牢，开不了口。
动不了笔。
语法知识掌握得再好也没有用。
打个比方说，学英语就像是砌房子，单词是好比是砌房子用的各种材料。
语法知识好比是砌房子的技术，技术再好，没有材料，一样砌不成房子。
正如俗语说：“巧妇难为无米之炊”。
拥有大量词汇与语言应用的各个方面都成正比例。
levelt说过：“词汇是语言产出的驱动力”。
diller研究表明，如果我们认识25个单词，平均每一页上我们就认识23%的单词；如果我们认识135个单词，该百分比就达到50%；2500个单词量相应于78%；5000个单词量相应于86%；10000个单词量相应于92%。
laufer从阅读理解的角度研究后发现：认识5000个单词，阅读理解正确率为56% ；认识6400个单词，该百分比为63%；认识9000个单词，该百分比大约是70%。
同样在写作、口语交际、听力理解等方面也大致如此，所以利用记忆规律，科学地进行词汇教学，提高学生的单词记忆能力，防止遗忘，是英语教学中一项十分重要的任务。

其次，没有及时复习，有的学生花费了很多时间背单词，但很快就遗忘了，他们因此认为学习英语很难，失去了继续努力的信心。
德国心理学家艾宾浩斯的遗忘曲线表明，遗忘速度起初很迅速；而后，随着时间的推移而逐渐变慢。
因此，要在课后练习中，多角度、多层次多次地复习，从而巩固所学词汇。
再次，不少学生不懂词汇学习的策略和技巧。
他们只会用死记硬背的方法来学习和记忆词汇。
由于高中的词汇明显比初中多，学生如果不掌握一定的词汇学习策略和技巧，就不能很好地渡过词汇学习这一关，也不可能真正学好英语。
根据高中英语课程标准对学生词汇的要求，教师应从学生的学习兴趣、生活经验和认知水平出发，倡导体验、实践、参与、合作与交流的学习方式和任务型教学途径，发展学生的综合语言运用能力。
词汇的记忆对外语学习者来说，是十分重要的。
下面，笔者着重谈一下词汇积累的方法。

浅谈英语词汇记忆能力的训练在英语学习过程中，学生普遍感到困难的是记忆单词。
为了提高学生的记忆效率,帮助学生最高效率地牢牢记住所学的词汇，又提高教学质量，我们要向效率要时间，而不是用时间补效率。
那么，应该如何有意识地培养学生词汇记忆的能力呢？下面谈谈我的一些科学的识记策略。
一、进行瞬间记忆训练，提高记忆效果教育心理学者研究“痕迹理论”所得出的结论指出：“凡是已经识记过的事物都有在大脑组织中以某种形式留下痕迹”。
记忆痕迹在脑中的储存分三种情况：瞬间记忆，短时记忆和长时记忆。
因此，在教新单词时，先向学生明确记忆指标，例如，在教新单词bread, rice, noodle…时，要求学生在一、二分钟内记熟这些新单词，然后听写，也可以通过抢答或个别提问的方式由老师读单词，学生口头拼写，或是老师讲出单词中文意思，学生读出生词，反之，老师读单词，学生讲出中文意思等形式进行训练。
学生为了达到要求，快速记忆，必然高度集中注意力认真朗读记诵，强力记忆的愿望可以提高记忆的效率。
开始只有部分学生达到要求，经过一段时间的训练，基本上每位学生都能按要求完成，即使成绩差的学生，瞬间记忆的效果也很好。
这种训练，增加了单位时间内的信息接纳量，提高了记忆效果。
二、增加刺激渠道和程度，加深感知印象赫尔（C.Hull）是刺激-----反应理论的早期倡导者之一。
1943年他在《行为的原理》这本著作中提出，记忆是刺激与反应之间联系的形成，巩固和恢复的过程。
只有环境中那些引起人注意的刺激，才在感知觉的基础上形成记忆。
因此记忆是靠外界环境对大脑进行刺激并形成痕迹的，大脑神经受到的刺激越深，记忆的持久性越强。
因此，教师在课堂上应尽力使学生对所要记忆的知识形成深刻的印象，为长时记忆打下基础。
1、以对比形式增强学生的记忆力示范朗读单词的轻重、同化、连读、尾音以及爆破音、破擦音变化；用彩色粉笔在黑板写出难记的生词，使字体变得特别大，或者其它方式呈现形成明显对比。

一、发音记忆法顾名思义就是根据单词的发音来记忆单词，这就要求掌握英语的发音规则，字母及字母组合在重读音节中的发音情况。
要求掌握音节知识，并正确区分元音字母和元音因素。
例如，英语中元音字母有5个，分别是a，e，i，o，u；而元音有20个；辅音字母有21个，辅音有28个；还有区分元音和辅音的发音规则。
元音：发音响亮，是乐音，口腔中气流不受阻碍，是音节的主要组成部分，英语中有20个元音。
辅音：发音不响亮，是嗓音，口腔中气流受到阻碍，不是音节的重要组成部分，英语中有28个辅音。
或者按照元音字母、元音字母组合、辅音字母及辅音字母组合在开音节和闭音节的读音规律记忆。

为了让学生更好地、更轻松地学好英语，根据多年的经验，笔者本文总结了下面几种快速记忆单词的方法，供大家生学习参考。
1. 同类记忆法把同义词、近义词逐一归类，如：accept， receive；rest， break； attend，join；require，need；ill，sick；ago，before；too，also，either；every， each 等。
这样归类单词好处是：提高复现率，能常忆起学过的单词。
提高学习兴趣，持之以恒，滚雪球式地积累，会不断扩大词汇量，会快速、准确、牢固地记住英语单词。
2. 对比记忆法对比记忆是把反义词放在一起，对比记忆。
意思相反的词放在一起，会形成鲜明的对照，对大脑输入的刺激信号强于一般的信号，从而能强化记忆。
日常英语中反义词的应用相当广泛，如形容体形的 tall ，short，fat，thin；说明方位的east，west，south，north；评比判断的 good， bad， right， wrong；表示时序的 early， late， first，last；反应情绪的 pleased， angry， sad， glad；而应用反义词讲出的句子更是生动活泼，色彩鲜明，富于感染力。
3. 分类记忆法分类记忆方法多种多样，如按词义、词性、拼读规则分类等。
4. 图表记忆法图标记忆是通过视觉刺激记忆，学习者看到形象生动的标志，可加深记忆印象，利用形象的图表进行记忆，它的优点是意、形、物直观地结合到一起，你可以找一本英语图解字典作为参考。

英语学习离不开词汇学习，因为词汇是英语语言三要素之一。
不掌握大量的词汇，阅读、翻译、听说都无法顺利进行。
而对于初学英语的中学生来说背单词却费时、枯燥、易忘，如何解决英语学习中的单词记忆问题，能否将单词记忆之苦变成乐事、趣事，这是英语学习者和教学者经常思索和探讨的问题。
为了提高学生的记忆效率，我在试用新教材的过程中，对如何提高学生的记忆力方面作了一些探索。
一、使用实物、图片、cai等直观教学手段辅助记忆
文具、水果、食物、饮料、日常生活用品，这些单词都是可以用实物来呈现、操练的。
就连动物，也可以将相关毛绒玩具带入课堂。
遇到不便或不易带进课堂的物体，可采用图片进行教学，例如：plane、train、bookcase、table、cup-board等。
如果一时找不到图片，也可以运用简单易行的简笔画，直接在黑板上画，边画边呈现，边画边操练。
随着现代信息教育技术的广泛应用，多媒体辅助教学（cai）越来越多地走进了英语课堂。
cai画面优美，音乐动听，能填补实物、图片的不足。
特别在教学一些表示地点的单词，如zoo，park，supermarket，library，bedroom等时，它就比图片具有更多的信息量，更为学生所喜闻乐见。
形象直观的实物、图片、cai，生动活泼，视听结合，容易使学生加深印象，强化记忆，充分激发
了学生的学习热情和学习兴趣。
二、在游戏中记忆单词
由于汉语和英语在许多方面存在着很大的差异，给学生学习词汇带来了不少困难。
很多学生学习词汇的方法是传统的死记硬背，即把单词一个个孤立的翻来覆去的背，其结果是忘了记，记了忘，忘了就再记。
久而久之使学生丧失了学英语的兴趣和信心。
因此，可以在单词记忆时引入各种游戏，不仅能有效地调节英语学习的气氛，激发学生的学习爱好，还能促使学生以积极的心态，在活动中主动地记忆单词。
对于习惯机械记忆的学生，教师教学的主要任务是使学生通过思维去理解所学的内容，使所教内容在学生头脑中建立起多方面的联系。
所以，在教学中，教师可引导学生在理解中识记或识记时给材料，人为地建立一些联系，比如做游戏、讲故事等，这样的课堂是精彩的。
在这样的课堂上，学生获得了多方面的满足和发展，教师的劳动也闪耀着智慧的光芒，师生都感觉到生命活力的涌动，自然这样的效果是最佳的。

教育心理学者研究“痕迹理论”所得出的结论指出：“凡是已经识记过的事物都有在大脑组织中以某种形式留下痕迹”。
记忆痕迹在脑中的储存分三种情况：瞬间记忆，短时记忆和长时记忆。
瞬间记忆储存时间很短，但在记忆过程中占有主要作用。
在这个基础上，只要稍经启发，就能引起联想和回忆，转化为长时记忆，困此，在教新单词时，先向学生明确记忆指标，例如，在教新单词时，要求
学生在一、二分钟内记熟所学的新单词，然后听写，也可以通过抢答或个别提问的方式由老师读单词，学生口头拼写，或是老师讲出单词中文意思，学生读出生词，反之，老师读单词，学生讲出中文意思等形式进行训练。
学生为了达到要求，快速记忆，必然高度集中注意力认真朗读记诵，强力记忆的愿望可以提高记忆的效率。
开始只有部分学生达到要求，经过一段时间的训练，基本上每位学生都能按要求完成，即使成绩差的学生，瞬间记忆的效果也很好。
这种训练，增加了单位时间内的信息接纳量，提高了记忆效果。
四、根据遗忘规律，在有计划地“重现”中巩固英语单词，增强记忆力
德国心理学家艾宾浩斯的实验证明：遗忘的规律是先快后慢，刚记住的材料，最初几个小时内遗忘的速度最快。
如果四至七天内不复现，记忆将受到抑制，甚至完全消失。
因此，引导让学生有计划地经常复现英语词汇，克服遗忘现象。
课堂上教单词时，让学生对所学的词汇进行重复识记，加深印象；讲解课文时，结合教材的内容有机自然地再现；课后练习中，按排相应的听写、翻译、完成句子、同义答配、造句等，使学生在多次的复现中巩固所学词汇。
高效记忆英语单词并不是一件很难的事，只要结合以上几种方法来记忆英语单词，平时做到多听、多看、多说、多写，做到词不离句、句不离法、法不离文，层层递进，从而达到综合运用的目的。
老师要不断激发学生学习英语的积极主动性，使记单词不再枯燥，增强学生学习的趣味性，最终达到让绝大部分学生学习英语，成为
一种自觉的行为，甚至是生活中的一种兴趣，最终实现大面积提高学生学习英语的效率，大幅度提高学生的英语学习质量。
