学生分析
学生在以往的学习中已经学习了现在进行时和一般现在时的用法，有了一定的基础，因此在本课的学习中，他们需要更多的活动来参与，来实践，来运用他们所学的语言。
而且六年级的学生对生活中的事情有一定的体验，并且具备了一定的语言表达能力和想象能力，只要通过教师的及时引导，就能够地出不得将语言运用起来。
设计理念
在本课的设计中，以学生为主体，教师为主导，采用多种教学形式，并与信息技术相整合，设计贴近学生实际的教学活动，培养学生的综合语言运用能力。

教学过程
Ⅰ. Warm-up (热身活动)
a. 做“I say, you do”的游戏，教师通过指令让学生做各种动作，同时复习动词短语和句型。
b. 教师用实物投影，展示几张学生正在做某件事情时的照片，让学生对照片进行描述。
课前的游戏，既调节情绪、活跃气氛，又使学生快速进入英语学习状态，并激活学生已有的知识,为进行新课教学做好铺垫。
Ⅱ. Presentation (介绍新语言项目)
a. 教师先出示自己正在读书时的照片，让学生帮助描述，I’m reading a book.接着，又出示另一张照片，一个朋友在敲门，让学生继续描述，A friend comes. (可能会有A friend is coming.的
说法，让学生比较，哪一种感觉更好一些)教师综合。
I’m reading but then a fri end comes. b. 教师布置本课目标：今天这节课，我们就要用这种句型来描述，一件事情发生时，又有什么事情发生了。
c. 教师告诉学生：“今天是大明的生日，我们来看看大明在做什么，都有谁来参加他的生日，同时又发生了什么？”
Ⅲ．New teaching (课文教学)
a. 教师出示问题： 1. Who are at the Party? 2. What is Daming doing? ，让学生带着问题听音。
b. 引导学生第二次听录音，并在书中找出问题的答案。
在此基础上，教师进一步提问，学生用书中有几处提到了Daming is playing the trumpet.?在这几处同时又有什么事情发生？
c．小组谈论，将学习的结果相互交流，并说说这几个句子的共同之处。
教师要对学生的理解情况进行总结和补充。
d. 教师继续启发学生发现：“文中有几处提到了everyone? 观察一下这几个句子中的动词，你发现了什么”（everyone作为第三人称单数来使用）
e．熟读课文，学习重点单词和短语，教师检查学习效果。
教师通过提问的方式，将学生的注意力集中到本课的重点之上，并有意识地让学生自己寻找和发现。
在充分听录音的基础上，学生又通过小组讨论，集中发言等形式，加深对学习内容的理解，教师做到收放有度。
Ⅳ. Practice (练习)
a. 同桌一组进行问答练习，完成学生用书活3。
教师在教室内巡回走动,给予适当的帮助与指导。
b. 教师把学生分成两个组，没人发一张纸条，第一组写某人正在做什么，第二组写同时又发生了什么，教师收齐后，学生抽签组成复合句，全班朗读。
（注意指导正确使用时态）
c. 让学生两人一组调查对方在做一件事情时，经常会发生什么，请几组在全班交流，并统计那种情况出现的最多。
d. 自由想象：教师给学生场景，让学生发挥想象力，补充这时发生了什么？

本环节通过机械操练和实际运用让学生理解语言，掌握语言。
小组点茶则给学生创造了一个仿真的情境，强化了所学语言。
这个小练习放在操练阶段有助于缓解学生的疲劳，保持高涨的热情。
Ⅴ. Production (任务完成)
a. 完成课堂活动用书练习2。
在学生理解课文的基础上，把图片按顺序编号，然后给每幅图片加上文字说明，最后全班订正答案，再请学生根据图片对课文进行复述。
b. 完成课堂活动用书练习3。
根据自己的理解，运用书中给出的短语提示，组合句子，自由度可以
大一些。
c. 完成课堂活动用书练习4。
根据图片的内容填空，然后教师播放课堂活动用书练习5的录音，让学生边听答案边检查。
d. 仿照课文的写法，运用一般现在时和现在进行时组合的方法，以“my story”编写一个小故事。
在完成任务的过程中，学生们充分运用了他们所学的语言，达到了学以致用的目的，提高了实际语言运用的能力，而且激发了他们的兴趣，为日后更好地学习英语树立了信心。
Ⅵ. Summary and Homework (小结与作业)
a. 全班完成：听读课文，直到熟读为止。
b. 个别完成：编写小故事，并在下节课的课堂中交流。
复习本单元，强化运用所学的知识，把学习的任务延续到课后。

本堂课程是六年级下册第五模块第一单元，讲述Daming 在他的生日聚会上为朋友吹唢呐，此时电话响了，他只好停下来。
然后Daming 再次吹起唢呐，但门铃响了，他又停下来。
这时又来了不少朋友，Simon 的小狗也来了。
Daming 第三次吹起唢呐时，小狗大声叫了起来，朋友们都听不到Daming 的演奏。
Simon 对小狗说：“别叫了！小狗不在叫了，大家都笑起来”。
故事场景是
学生生活中的常见语境，在合理的语境中进一步复习巩固现在进行时和一般现在时的学习，符合学习逻辑和小学生心理特点。
本课侧重于对故事完整的理解，学生通过预测、推理、阅读等方式完成对故事意义的建构。
通过学习，基本达成以下目标：
1.学生能在图片的帮助下对故事进行预测、验证、理解。
2.学生能在图片的辅助下中听懂单词、句型，理解故事中呈现的文字意思。
