Step 1. Warming up （热身活动）
老师出示一张中国地图进行介绍：“This is a map of China.
I’m from Shandong. It’s in the east of China”如果有必要，
可以用中文稍加解释和说明，然后向学生们提问：“Where are
you from? Where is your friend from?’’如果学生能说出其他
国家的名称，要及时鼓励表扬，并带领其他学生一起学习。
Step 2. Presentation （新课呈现）
老师出示Simon的图片，向学生提问：“Who is he?”
“Where is he from?
引导回答:“Simon’s from New York, the US.” 老师把单
词写在黑板上，领读，然后提问：“Where is New York?”
老师出示美国地图并向学生提问：“This is a map of the
US. Can you find New York?” 引导学生在地图上找到纽约
的位置。
可以向学生说明：“纽约是美国的一个重要城市。
大家
已经在地图上找到了它的位置，可是你们知道用英语应该怎样
表达吗?今天我们就来学习这些内容。
”
Step 3. New lesson （新课教授）
1、在地图上标注东(east)、南(south)、西(west)、北(north)，帮助学生复习这些单词．并注意纠正他们的发音。
老师领读单词。
学生们能够读准后，做一个游戏巩固新单词：根据老师的口令做动作．例如：
Please turn to the north.
Please turn to the south.
Please turn to the east.
Please turn to the west.
老师随意发出口令，学生要尽快执行口令。
老师可以不断加快发出口令的速度，以加大活动难度。
2、放录音，让学生边听边看SB第二单元活动1的地图。
把录音中提到的几处美国城市名称写在黑板上帮助学生理解。
再放录音，让学生跟读。

1、使用地图与拼图相结合的方法。
先出示中国地图，让学生快速记忆。
然后取下地图，运用地图拼图的一部分。
一边拼，一边教授方向及位置的表达方法。
然后让学生描述并拼完剩下的部分。
如：S: Shanghai is in the east of America.
T: Thank you .please put Shanghai in the map.
拼图完成后还可在全班进行师生问答。
如：T: Where is Shanghai?
Ss: It is in the east of America.
2、请学生把书翻到SB Unit 2活动4。
请学生边听边看，熟悉韵诗的大致内容。
然后向学生讲解他们不理解的内容，如单词“T ennessee”等。
再放录音，请学生看着书小声地跟读。
可以请男生和女生分组读．也可以请单个学生读。
掌握chant之后，可以全班起完成AB Unit2练习3。
再听录音，根据录音判断练习中的陈述是否正确。
Step 5. Summary （小结）
1、出示三组图片，让学生在小组内讨论，分别描述主人公五年
前和现在的不同之处。
2、教师巡视并帮助比较弱的一组，最后验查各组完成的情况。
3、教师出示三组图片的句子，让学生巩固。
Step 6. Homework （课后作业）
调查自家人以前与现在不同之处，并写下来。
