一、学生情况分析：
五年级的学生整体来说都比较活泼，有一部分学生学习较积极，对学习英语具有比较浓厚的兴趣，学习英语的自信心较强，他们勤学好问。因此对他们而言，英语基础知识需要继续深入的渗透，把重点放到听、说、读、写的要求上。 扩大学生对西方国家了解的知识领域，充分发展学生在生活中使用英语的能力和习惯。但有个别同学的学习习惯较差，不愿意学习英语，听说读写的能力都有待提高。五年级的学生对英语学习兴趣整体有所下降，两极分化比较严重。所以本学期应做好后进生的转化工作。
二、教材分析
