Knowing this, he called for a big stone from the sea to suppress the waves. This big stone is now the "Butterfly Island" in front of Zhapo town. From then on, the sea did not raise waves, and fishermen moved in one after another, making it a new fishing port.In memory of the Fubo General Ma Yuan, people built a Ma Yuan Temple on the seaside mountain. A couplet was written at the entrance of the temple: "chishi silently protects the stability of the boat, and the gate wave maintains the peace of Hailing." it means: General Ma Yuan moved the big stone here to protect the safety of the fishing boat; the big stone blocked the waves, and the wind and waves were calm from then on, maintaining the peace of Hailing Island.Later, the local fishermen were grateful and nostalgic for General Ma Yuan's kindness of "chishizhapo", so they named the new port "Zhapo".。

The capital city is called Guangzhou and it's massively crowded with skyscrapers, shopping malls, restaurants, you name it. I've been there a bunch of times and it's always a fun adventure. But Guangdong isn't all just one gigantic city. There are gorgeous white sand beaches to swim and build sandcastles. I also love hiking in the lush green mountains and forests inland. The scenery is just breathtaking. One of the most exciting cities in Guangdong is Shenzhen. Shenzhen is right across the border from Hong Kong and has transformed into a major high-tech and manufacturing hub over the past few decades. The weather there is usually sunny and warm, which is awesome for going to the beach. I love building sandcastles and splashing in the waves! But Guangdong isn't just beaches. It's also famous for its super tall mountains like Danxia Mountain. Can you imagine how tiny everything would look from way up there? The mountains have really bizarre shapes with crazy colors like red, orange and purple. It's like something from another planet!Speaking of planets, did you know that Guangdong was one of the first places in China to send things into space? Yup, they have a huge space center there called Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site. I've never actually seen a rocket launch in person, but I bet it would be unbelievably loud and bright. Maybe one day I'll get to be an astronaut and explore the galaxy! When I'm not dreaming about space, I love learning about Guangdong's amazingly diverse wildlife. We have these super cool monkeys called Guangdong long-tailed monkeys that looklike they're wearing cool punk rock hairstyles. And then there are red-headed laughing thrushes, which are these adorable little birds with the funniest laughing calls. My favorite though has to be the Chinese white dolphins - they're pink! Can you believe that? Real life pink dolphins!Guangdong is also home to some of the yummiest food you'll ever taste. My mouth waters just thinking about classic Cantonese dishes like wonton noodle soup, barbecued pork, and egg tarts. The snacks are out of this world too - you've got to try wife cakes, dragon's beard candy, and the best dim sum dumplings ever. I'm getting hungry just talking about it!Another awesome thing about my province is all the incredible places to visit. In Guangzhou, the capital city, you can see things like the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall which is this massive, ancient building covered in super detailed wood carvings. Or you could check out Window of the World theme park where they have miniature recreations of famous structures from all around the world! Then there's the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kaiping Diaolou, which has over 1,800 unique fortified tower houses. They kind of look like castle towers and each one is slightly different. Another World Heritage Site is the Danxia LandformGeological Park with those wild multi-colored mountains and rocks I mentioned earlier. I'd give anything to go climbing around there!Oh and let's not forget about Hong Kong! It's technically its own special region, but it's a huge part of the greater Guangdong area's culture and history. With its neon lights, bustling streets, and iconic skyscrapers, Hong Kong is like a futuristic city from the movies. I'll never get tired of taking the tram up to Victoria Peak for that incredible view.I could probably go on forever about why Guangdong is the absolute best place on Earth. From the beautiful beaches to the towering mountains, unique wildlife, mind-blowing food, and endless attractions - it's got a little bit of everything wrapped up in one amazing province. I feel so lucky to call Guangdong my home. Hopefully you'll all get to experience its wonders yourselves one day. Thanks for listening, and let me know if you have any other questions!篇5Hello everyone! My name is Xiaoming and I'm so excited to tell you all about my amazing hometown - Guangdong Province in southern China!Guangdong is one of the biggest and most important provinces in our country. It's located along the coast, right next to the South China Sea. The weather there is super nice and warm almost all year round. We don't really have cold winters like some other places in China. The capital city is called Guangzhou. It's a huge, bustling place with incredibly tall skyscrapers and tons of people everywhere you look! Guangzhou is known for being one of the oldest cities in China, dating all the way back to the Qin Dynasty over 2,000 years ago. But it's also one of the most modern cities, with a super fast bullet train system and bright neon lights lighting up the night sky.One of the most famous things about Guangzhou is the amazing food! Cantonese cuisine started there and you can find some of the yummiest dim sum, roasted meats, and noodle dishes. My favorite is chashaobaau - barbecue pork buns! Whenever my grandparents visit from Guangzhou, they always bring tons of delicious snacks.Another huge city in Guangdong is Shenzhen, right across the border from Hong Kong. Shenzhen used to be a tiny fishing village, but now it's a mega center for technology and innovation. Some of the biggest tech companies in the world have theirheadquarters and factories there, like Huawei, Tencent, and DJI drones. It's amazing to see how quickly Shenzhen grew into a major international city in just a few decades. But Guangdong isn't just about the huge, crowded cities. We also have gorgeous natural scenery like beaches, forests, rivers, and mountains. One of my favorite places is Dinghu Mountain near Zhaoqing. It's got ancient Buddhist temples hidden away in the misty peaks. I'll never forget hiking there with my parents and discovering the incredible stone carvings and sculptures deep in the forests. So magical! The scenery along the Guangdong coastline is beautiful too. We have long stretches of sandy beaches perfect for swimming, boating, and fishing. My cousins live in the coastal city of Zhuhai, known for having some of the cleanest beaches and air in the province. I love visiting them in the summer and playing in the waves all day!Speaking of cousins, big family gatherings are a huge part of Cantonese culture. Pretty much every weekend, my whole extended family gets together at my grandma's house for a massive lunch of Cantonese dishes. After we're done eating, the guys will watch TV and play mahjong, while the ladies catch upon the latest gossip. And the kids just run around chasing each other! Those family times are the best.Guangdong also has a ton of fun holidays and festivals throughout the year. The Cantonese people sure love to celebrate! Probably the biggest one is Chinese New Year. My favorite part is getting those crispy red envelopes filled with money from my relatives. For the New Year, we decorate our house with lots of lanterns and couplets, and eat special foods like nian gao (those chewy rice cakes). I also love all the fireworks at night!Another festival I always look forward to is the Mid-Autumn Festival, when we get to eat delicious mooncakes and admire the bright full moon. And then there's the Dragon Boat Festival where we make sticky rice dumplings called zongzi and watch intense dragon boat races on the rivers. So many parties and reasons to get together with loved ones! One special thing about Guangdong is that many people there speak Cantonese as their first language, not Mandarin. Cantonese sounds quite different, with those famous "tonal" sounds that go up and down. At school we learn to read and write in standard Mandarin, but at home I speak Cantonese withmy family. I think it's really cool to grow up with two languages and cultures!Wow, I could probably go on talking about Guangdong forever! It's such an exciting and vibrant place - from the huge modern cities, to the gorgeous landscapes, to the incredible food and rich traditions. I feel so lucky to have been born in this beautiful province. Thank you all for listening to me share about my hometown today. And the Mid-Autumn Festival when we eat those yummy mooncakes and admire the full moon.Okay, I have to mention this - Guangdong is the birthplace of kung fu! How awesome is that? Martial arts like wing chun and hung gar originated right in our province. Maybe that's why kung fu movies and action stars like Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Bruce Lee are so popular with people from Guangdong. We just can't get enough of those cool fight scenes and stunts.Even our accents and dialect in Guangdong are super interesting. Cantonese is quite different from standard Mandarin and has a very distinctive sound with those famous "tones" that make it sort of sing-songy. A lot of people say Cantonese is one of the hardest dialects of Chinese to learn, but to me it just sounds like home.Oh and I can't forget to talk about the awesome cities in Guangdong! The capital Guangzhou is enormous with over 13 million people and some of the craziest, towering skyscrapers you'll ever see. Then there's Shenzhen which used to be a tiny fishing village but is now a rich, high-tech mega-city right across the border from Hong Kong. The buildings' light shows at night in Shenzhen are just mesmerizing. Hong Kong itself is alsotechnically part of Guangdong and one of the most iconic, famous cities on the planet. What else can I say? Whether it's the beaches, the food, the festivals, the kung fu, the accents or just the overall energy and excitement - Guangdong Province is simply the greatest place to be from. We've got a little bit of everything and them some! Subtropical paradise, ancient traditions, and cutting-edge modernization all blended together into one jam-packed, thrilling place.I hope you guys enjoyed learning about myawesome, amazing, outstanding, remarkable, sensational hometown of Guangdong. It's a special place filled with warm, friendly people and a fascinating mix of cultures. Maybe some of you can come visit someday and experience the awesomeness for yourselves! I'll be waiting to show you around and introduce you to the most delectable dim sum you've ever tasted. Thanks for listening everyone!。
