If you need any more tips or have any questions, feel free to ask. Happy to help!篇3Welcome to China! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I was born in Beijing but my family is from all over China. I love having visitors come to my country and I want to share some tips to help you have the best trip possible!First, be prepared for crowds pretty much everywhere you go. China is the most populated country in the world with over 1.4 billion people! The cities are huge and packed full of people.Don't be surprised if you have to line up for a long time to get into tourist attractions or if the subways and streets feel super crowded. My advice is to go early in the morning if you can to try to beat the biggest crowds.Speaking of the subways, they are a great way to get around big cities like Beijing and Shanghai. The signs often have English translations so you can figure out where you're going. Just make sure to hold on tight as the subway cars get extremely packed during rush hours! You can also take taxis which are pretty cheap, but a lot of drivers don't speak much English. It's a good idea to have your destination's address written down to show them. While we're on the topic of transportation, let me mention that a lot of cities in China have shared bicycles that you can rent and ride around on. They are cheap and let you explore at your own pace. Just be careful riding in traffic as the rules of the road aren't always followed perfectly here! When it comes to food, China has the most delicious cuisine in the world in my humble opinion! Every region has its own flavors and specialties. In the north, you'll find amazing noodle dishes like beef noodle soup, dumplings, and Peking duck. Southern provinces like Sichuan are known for their spicy foods. I'd recommend being a little brave and trying adventurousdishes, but maybe avoid anything too spicy if you can't handle the heat! Ni hao kai weidao! One important thing to know is that some Chinese dishes contain ingredients that might seem a little unusual to foreign visitors. Things like chicken feet, duck tongues, and jellyfish are pretty common. Don't be too shocked if you see these on menus! If you're not feeling that adventurous, you can usually find simple stir-fry and rice dishes. Oh and don't forget to use chopsticks - the proper way is to hold them towards the bottom part and not the top.For snacks and desserts, I'm a huge fan of jianbing which is a sort of crepe with an egg, crispy wontons, and lots of sauces and fillings. Candied fruit on a stick called bingtanghulu is another beloved sweet treat. And whenever I visit the countryside, I gulp down fresh fruit like lychees, mangoes and dragonfruits which are so juicy and tasty. While you're visiting the rural areas, you'll notice that many people get around on scooters or motorbikes instead of cars. It's a more affordable way of transportation and fun to travel like a local by hopping on the back! Just hang on tight and don't be alarmed if the driving seems a little chaotic. That's just part of the experience. One important cultural lesson I should mention is about saving face. In China, we try hard not to embarrass others or cause awkwardness. So don't be offended if someone is quite blunt or appears rude - it's not personal, it's just more accepted behavior here. The best policy is to stay positive and not get confrontational if minor conflicts or misunderstandings arise. On that same note about cultural differences, remember that many Chinese people like to take photos of foreign visitors as it's a novel experience for them. You might get asked to pose for pics which can feel strange, but it's meant as a friendly gesture. Just politely decline if you're not comfortable with it.In terms of other cultural traditions, I'd encourage you to visit temples, watch Traditional Chinese performances with acrobats and dancers, and see if you can catch any festivals or holidays being celebrated. The colors and performances are always mesmerizing! Don't be shy to join in some of the activities if you're invited. One big annual festival you may be lucky enough to experience is Chinese New Year. This is the most important holiday when we honor our ancestors, give money in red envelopes, watch dragon dances, and eat lots of delicious foodwith family. The festivities usually last around 2 weeks so it's an exciting time to be in China if you can swing it.For shopping and souvenirs, I'd recommend places like the Silk Market in Beijing where you can practice your bargaining skills to get good deals on stuff like clothes, accessories, artwork and antiques. Don't be afraid to politely walk away if the price doesn't feel right; shopkeepers expect a little back-and-forth. Markets, night markets, and places like the fake merchandise stands in Shanghai offer some amazing deals too if you don't mind things being, well, fake designer items.A few random but important tips I want to share: Download a VPN app so you can still access apps like Instagram, Facebook, and Google which are restricted here. Bring cash in smaller denominations as many stores and restaurants won't accept big bills. Don't be alarmed if you see people splitting to let a hearse or bride pass as there are superstitions around those. And please try to learn and use a few words of Mandarin like "hello" (nǐhǎo), "thank you" (xièxie), and "too expensive" (tài guìle)!I know I've mentioned a lot, but those are some key pointers based on my experiences here. My last piece of advice is to have an open mind, be respectful, and don't be afraid to go off thebeaten path a little. That's where you'll find the most authentic experiences and hidden gems!China is a fascinating country with such a rich culture and history. I hope you embrace the organized chaos, try new things, and leave with a fresh perspective. Thank you for visiting my homeland - I'm certain you'll make lots of amazing memories!Zàijiàn!篇4Tips for Foreigners Traveling to ChinaHello there! Are you planning to visit China? That's fantastic!
