SCI、EI、ISTP、SSCI、CSSCI和CSCD介绍美国《科学引文索引》的英文简称，其全称为：Science Citation Index,，创刊于1961年，它是根据现代情报学家加菲尔德(Engene Garfield) 1953年提出的引文思想而创立的，由美国科学信息研究所(ISI)1961年创办出版的引文数据库，其覆盖生命科学、临床医学、物理化学、农业、生物、兽医学、工程技术等方面的综合性检索刊物，尤其能反映自然科学研究的学术水平，是目前国际上三大检索系统中最著名的一种，其中以生命科学及医学、化学、物理所占比例最大,收录范围是当年国际上的重要期刊,尤其是它的引文索引表现出独特的科学参考价值，在学术界占有重要地位。
时至今日加菲尔德仍是SCI主编之一。
SCI是由ISI（Institute for Scientific Information Inc.）美国科学情报所出版。
现为双月刊。
ISI除了出版SCI外，还有联机型据SCISEARCH。
ISTP （Index to Scientific ＆Technical Proceeding）也由其出版。
SCI是一部国际性的检索刊物，包括有：自然科学、生物、医学、农业、技术和行为科学等，主要侧重基础科学。
所选用的刊物来源于94个类、40多个国家、SO多种文字，这些国家主要有美国、英国、荷兰、德国、俄罗斯、法国、日本、加拿大等，也收录一定数量的中国刊物。
从SCI的严格的选刊原则及严格的专家评审制度来看，它具有一定的客观性，较真实地反映了论文的水平和质量。
根据SCI收录及被引证情况，可以从一个侧面反映学术水平的发展情况。
特别是每年一次的SCI论文排名成了判断一个学校科研水平的一个十分重要的标准。
SCI 以《期刊目次》(Current Content)作为数据源，目前自然科学数据库有五千多种期刊，其中生命科学辑收录1350种；工程与计算机技术辑收录1030种；临床医学辑收990种；农业、生物环境科学辑收录950种；物理、化学和地球科学辑收录900种期刊。

《中国学术期刊影响因⼦年报》评价指标体系《中国学术期刊影响因⼦年报》评价指标体系1.期刊影响⼒综合评价指标——期刊影响⼒指数（CI ）统计某个年度内出版的某些源⽂献引证期刊的次数，可以在统计学意义上反映期刊在该统计年度产⽣的影响⼒。
简单⽽常⽤的计量指标有期刊的总被引频次（TC ，⼴延量，评价对象为期刊已发表的所有⽂献）、影响因⼦（IF ，强度量，评价对象为期刊在统计年之前两年发表的⽂献）、即年指标（强度量，评价对象为期刊在统计年发表的⽂献）等。
显然，上述指标的评价对象是期刊在不同时期发表的⽂献，且评价⾓度、计量⽅法各不相同，任⼀指标都不能全⾯反映期刊的影响⼒。
期刊评价中⽚⾯强调其中某个指标，都会导致期刊出现⽚⾯发展倾向，甚⾄引发期刊的学术不端⾏为，⼲扰期刊正常发展。
因此，⼈们⼀直在希望找到⼀个综合反映期刊影响⼒的计量指标。
然⽽，过去这⽅⾯的⼯作总是试图将TC 、IF 等指标先验地假设为同⼀线性空间的可加标量，按⼀组⼈为设定的权重参数拟合为⼀个“综合指标”，⽽未注意区分这些指标的内禀属性，得到的期刊排序结果也难以给予合理的解释。
我们在2013年⾸次提出了⼀种综合评价学术期刊影响⼒的⽅法，连续三年应⽤于“中国最具国际影响⼒学术期刊”的遴选，基本原理、计算⽅法和结果得到了国内外学术界和期刊界的基本认可。
1.1期刊影响⼒指数（CI ）的基本定义定义1：期刊影响⼒排序空间在某种可⽐较⼤⼩的期刊范围内（同⼀学科内）将TC 、IF 分别归⼀化处理为tc 、if ，并按其⼤⼩进⾏期刊排序，即可在排序意义上将TC 、IF 映射到⼀个2维空间，称为“期刊影响⼒排序空间”。
定义2：期刊影响⼒等位线在“期刊影响⼒排序空间”内，定义影响⼒最⼤的期刊为（1,1），各刊与之的距离为22B -1)A 1(R ）（+-=，期刊影响⼒相等的点连成的线即为期刊影响⼒等位线。
显然，等位线就是以（1,1）为圆⼼的圆弧，见图1。
定义3：期刊影响⼒指数（CI ）学术期刊影响⼒指数（Academic Journal Clout Index ，简称CI ），是反映⼀组期刊中各刊影响⼒⼤⼩的综合指标，它是将期刊在统计年的总被引频次（TC ）和影响因⼦（IF ）双指标进⾏组内线性归⼀后向量平权计算所得的数值，⽤于对组内期刊排序。
2019世界学术期刊影响力指数(WAJCI)
2019世界学术期刊影响力指数（WAJCI）2019年10月28日，在中国期刊协会、中国科学技术期刊编辑学会、中国高校科技期刊研究会、全国高等学校文科学报研究会、《中国学术期刊（光盘版）》电子杂志社有限公司联合召开的“2019中国学术期刊未来论坛”上，中国科学文献计量评价研究中心发布了《世界学术期刊影响力指数WAJCI年报》。
中国科学文献计量评价研究中心基于近8年来期刊评价研究实践，在坚持用引用频次这一文献计量学方法对期刊进行客观评价的基础上，对世界学术期刊评价提出了以下改进方法。
一、统计源期刊遴选方法改进，扩充的中国优秀期刊更好地代表了中国期刊的发展实际水平《世界学术期刊影响力指数WAJCI年报》在国际公认的优秀期刊数据库——科睿唯安的WoS（Web of Science）数据库基础上，采用不低于其收录标准的标准遴选增补中国期刊。
入选的中国期刊其国际影响力指数WAJCI不低于该学科Q4区JCR期刊的均值。
2019版最终采用的统计源期刊共22077种。
涵盖了113个国家和地区，其中WoS数据库统计源期刊21165种，增补中国期刊（特指有国内统一连续出版物CN号，下同）1160种。
该报告统计了国外期刊引用中国期刊的引用频次，也统计了中国期刊引用国外期刊的引用频次，实现了国内国际期刊在同一引文数据库的同台竞技。
打破了过去国际期刊评价与国内期刊评价两套独立系统的壁垒。
二、学科领域划分与国际接轨，专业细化，有利于交叉新兴学科期刊发展《世界学术期刊影响力指数W A J C I年报》2019版按照237个学科领域（其中科技175个、社科62个）对13088种世界范围内传播较广、影响面较大、影响力较强的学术期刊发布了WAJCI指数，其中海外学术期刊11659种、中国期刊1429种，分学科呈现国内外期刊列表，有利于同质等效使用。
三、期刊评价指标综合影响因子和总被引频次，克服单指标评价局限性，体现期刊“既要办好，也要办大”的导向，其评价结果更加接近学者经验认识《世界学术期刊影响力指数W A J C I年报》2019版延续2018年提出的期刊综合评价指标WAJCI算法，并对同学科期刊降序排列，根据数量等分为4个区域。
