在现代英语中，有时即使从句内容不是事实，也可能⽤陈述语⽓。

(2) 注意 It isn’t as if…的翻译。
如(from )：It isn’t as if he were poor. 他不像穷的样⼦(或他⼜不穷)。

其实，这种说法是不准确的。

(笔者译)从上面义项a)的解释和例句中可以看出，as if／asthough引导的从句中谓语动词用的是陈述语气；从义项b)的解释和例句中可以看出，as if／as though引导的从句中的谓语动词用了虚拟语气。

4. as if和as though从句中的省略当as if和as though从句的主语与主句一致时，该主语和后面的动词可以省略。
