C. Listen to the passage and tell whether the following statements are true or false.

When a boy was walking through a little forest, he found a big white board hanging on an old tree. The boy took a small stone and started to draw on it: first a tree, then a rabbit, then a flower... To his surprise, whenever he finished a picture, it came to life and jumped out of the board. Later, the

place had become a green forest, full of animals happily playing.

Excited, the boy also drew his parents and brothers enjoying a picnic. He also drew some beautiful plastic bags with hamburgers in them. In his picture, all of his family members eat the hamburgers happily. But when the rubbish came to life, something awful happened: around every plastic bag, the forest turned grey, and the grey started quickly spreading everywhere. The boy realized that the rubbish was the reason for all the grey, so he cleaned the rubbish on the board. The forest turned green again, and the animals played together for the rest of the day.

The boy had never seen that white board again sine he left the forest. But now, every time he goes out with his family, he is the first to pick up any rubbish.

D. Listen to the dialogue and complete the following sentences.

W: Have you seen David today? I hope he’s not still angry with me.

M: Not, yet. What happened to you?

W: Well, I had a big argument with him yesterday. I felt very angry when he refused to return my money on time.

M: Your money? Did he borrow some money from you?

W: Yes, he borrowed 500 dollars from me and I needed it back yesterday. To my surprise, he said he didn’t have the money yet.

M: Well, he should pay the money back to you. It’s fair to do that.

W: Yes, but David didn’t have the same idea with you. He argued with me because he thought I didn’t believe him at all.

M: When did you lend him the money?

W: It was last month and I told him to return it within three months. But now, I have to pay a bill. So I need the money back as soon as possible.

M: Well, talk to him about it the next time you see him. He probably feels as bad about it as you do. Close friends sometimes have disagreements. It’s nothing unusual.

W: I guess you’re right. I think I should call David and talk with him face to face.

M: Of course you should. You wouldn’t want a silly argument to damage a long friendship, would you?
