Success is something that many people strive for, and there are definitely some key secrets to achieving it. Here are eight successful secrets that I have found to be extremely helpful in my own journey.1. Set clear and achievable goals: One of the first steps to success is setting clear and achievable goals. By having a clear vision of what I want to achieve, I am able to stay focused and motivated to work towards those goals. For example, when I wanted to improve my fitness, I set a goal to run a 5k race within three months. This goal gave me something specific to work towards and kept me on track.2. Take action: It's not enough to just set goals, I also have to take action to make them a reality. This means putting in the effort and work required to reach my goals. For instance, when I wanted to learn a new language, Icommitted to practicing for at least 30 minutes every day. Taking action is crucial in turning my goals into accomplishments.3. Stay positive and persistent: Success doesn't come without its challenges, and it's important to stay positive and persistent in the face of adversity. For instance, when I faced setbacks in my career, I stayed positive and kept pushing forward. This positive mindset and persistence helped me overcome obstacles and ultimately achieve success.4. Learn from failures: Failure is a natural part ofthe journey to success, and it's important to learn from it. For example, when a business venture didn't go as planned,I took the time to reflect on what went wrong and used that knowledge to make better decisions in the future. Learning from failures has been crucial in my growth and success.5. Surround myself with positive and supportive people: The people I surround myself with have a huge impact on my mindset and motivation. I make sure to surround myself with positive and supportive individuals who encourage andinspire me. This support system has been instrumental in my success.6. Continuously learn and improve: I believe that success is a journey of continuous learning and improvement. Whether it's through reading books, taking courses, or seeking mentorship, I am always looking for ways to expand my knowledge and skills. This commitment to learning has been key in my personal and professional growth.7. Manage time effectively: Time is a valuable resource, and managing it effectively is crucial for success. I prioritize my tasks, set deadlines, and avoidprocrastination to make the most of my time. By managing my time effectively, I am able to accomplish more and make progress towards my goals.8. Stay true to myself: Finally, staying true to myself and my values has been essential in my success. Whetherit's in my career choices or personal relationships, I always strive to stay authentic and true to who I am.

This is really a two-hour presentation I give to high school students, cut down to three minutes. And it all started one day on a plane, on my way to TED, seven years ago. And in the seat next to me was a high school student, a teenager, and she came from a really poor family.
And she wanted to make something of her life, and she asked me a simple little question. She said, “What leads to success?” And I felt really badly, because I couldn't give her a good answer. So I get off the plane, and I come to TED. And I think, jeez, I'm in the middle of a room of successful people! So why don't I ask them what helped them succeed, and pass it on to kids? So here we are, seven years, 500 interviews later, and I'm gonna tell you what really leads to success and makes TED-sters tick.
And the first thing is passion.】Freeman Thomas s ays, “I'm driven by my passion.” TED-sters do it for love; they don't do it for money. Carol Coletta says, “I would pay someone to do what I do.” And the interesting thing is: if you do it for love, the money comes anyway.
Carol Colletta
Work!】Rupert Murdoch said to me, “It's all hard work. Nothing comes easily. But I have a lot of fun.” Did he say fun? Rupert? Yes! TED-sters do have fun working. And they work hard. I figured, they're not workaholics. They're workafrolics.
Good! 】Alex Garden says, ”To be successful pu t your nose down in something and get damn good at it.“ There's no magic; it's practice, practice, practice.
And it's focus.】Norman Jewison said to me, ”I think it all has to do with focusing yourself on one thing.“Norman Jewison 告诉过我,”我想成功就要使自己专注于一件事情“【And push! 强迫】David Gallo says, ”Push yourself. Physically, mentally, you've gotta push, push, push.“ You gotta push through shyness and self-doubt. Goldie Hawn says, ”I always had s elf-doubts. I wasn't good enough; I wasn't smart enough. I didn't think I'd make it.“ No w it's not always easy to push yourself, and that's why they invented mothers. (Laughter)Frank Gehry —Frank Gehry said to me, ”My mother pushed me.“David Gallo说:”强迫你自己,“”心灵上,神情上。
Frank Gehry-Frank Gehry
Serve!】Sherwin Nuland says, ”It was a privilege to serve as a doctor.“ Now a lot o f kids tell me they want to be millionaires. And the first thing I say to them is: ”OK, well you can't serve yourself; you gotta serve others something of value. Because that's the way people really get rich.“Sherwin Nuland 说:“能够作为一名医生为他人服务是一种荣幸。
Ideas!】TED-ster Bill Gates says, ”I had an idea: founding the first micro-computer software company.“ I'd say it was a pretty good idea. And there's no magic to creativity in coming up with ideas — it's just doing some very simple things. And I give lots of evidence.TED演讲者Bill Gates 说:”我曾经有过一个点子,“”成立第一个微机软件公司。
Persist!】Joe Kraus says, ”Persistence is the number one reason for our success.“You gotta persist through failure. You gotta persist through crap! Which of course means ”Criticism, Rejection, Assholes and Pressure.“(Laughter)So, the big —the answer to this question is simple: Pay 4,000 bucks and come to TED. Or failing that, do the eight things — and trust me, these are the big eight things that lead to success. Thank you TED-sters for all your interviews!
