這裏我們要熟悉，總公司一般可以用main office來表達，對應的“分公司”，就由branch office來表示了，我們知道branch就是指“從樹幹（trunk）中長出來的數枝”，用來表示“分店、分公司、分行”等意思，也是很自然的；有些公司自己並不設立branch office，而是找其他的一些公司來做自己的agent “代理商”，一般有general agent（總代理商）、solo agent(獨家代理)。
