本课时首先通过Activity1同学们数手指上笑脸数的对话来引入基数词的学习，然后通过Activity2埃米和萨姆数蜡笔的对话引出对crayon、begin、floor、nineteen等单词和句型“There be＋基数词＋名词（＋其他）”的学习。
面对五年级的学生，虽然有一定的英语基础，可是在自由表达方面存在困难，教学设计中我引导学生观察构词规律，利用生动形象的动画，声音调动学生学习的积极性。
有效将评价及时运用到课堂中，增加学生学习的积极性。
在本课的教学设计中，我把学生做为课堂的主体，真正的将课堂还给学生。
通过课前唱英文歌曲《ten little Indians》唤起学生对数字1到10的回忆，活跃课堂气氛，增强学生的求知欲；接着由chant使学生感知10到20之间数字认识的空缺，再通过Ms Smart让Sam分发蜡笔的过程呈现将要学习的内容。
在此过程中，穿插数数和抢答游戏，决定获胜者，巩固从1到20的英语单词的读音。
本课时包括Listen and chant.和Listen,read and act out.两个板块。
Listen and chant.呈现了本单元所学的重点和重要句型，由“How many”导入到“数词的表达和应用”等。
Listen,read and act out.板块为大家讲述了我们的英语课堂上大家分发蜡笔的活动内容。
该部分涉及到数词的表达和there be句型的运用，通过该活动的学习让学生学习到同学之间要互相友爱互相帮助，与人分享和互相谦让等品质，这样既可以丰富我们的教学内容，又可以增添教学的乐趣。
本模块主要学习“There be...”句型及基数词。

本节教材内容从说唱入手让学生动起来正好体现了新课标的要求。
二、教材分析本课教材是外语教学与研究出版社的《新标准英语》三年级起点的第五册教材Module 5 Unit1内容。
由chant,课文，重点句子，练习四部分组成。
学生已经掌握1至12的数量词。
本课要求学生掌握13-19的数量词，并学会对数量进行提问和回答。
三、学情分析五年级学生经过两年的英语学习，有了一定的英语基础，部分学生已经形成了良好的听说读写的好习惯。
他们在课堂上认真听讲，积极发言，课下及时巩固和预习，按时完成作业。
也有部分学生由于家庭原因和自身不好的学习习惯导致出现了学习英语极度困难。
这些学生上课听不懂，课下也不能完成作业，学习英语的难度一步步加大，有的甚至放弃了英语学习。
针对这种两极分化的情况，老师采用了小组内互相帮助的措施。
对于优秀的学生，老师在把握教材上可以加以适当拓展，拔高优等生的学习水平。
而对于学困生来说，老师在课堂上应多设计一些简单的活动和游戏来提高他们的学习兴趣。
同时设置一些简单的问题鼓励他们多多参与课堂，从而提高他们学习英语的自信心。
