At the early stage ,Van Gogh began to draw when he did not reach Paris .His painting mainly affected by the Dutch traditional painting. During this period, pictures were dark ,depressing and boring.
Later, he reached Arles, gradually ,his color and brushwork changed, as he came under the influence of new art that he saw around him. The paintings became lighter and more colorful .After several months ,van Gogh manic depressive .

This was the art-form that transfixed the western world in the late 19te, when Van Gogh reached Paris to learn painting, It is the development prosperous period of impressionism. Van Gogh also has acquaintances many masters of impressionism, such as :Monet, Pissarro, Degas and so on. To be affected by the Gogh accepted Signac’s beliefs, he used small dots to draw some landscape painting.
