在很多同学看来，参加gre考试似乎已经成为一种荣誉，倘若能获得高分，那更会产生一种前所未有的快感。
同样，gre 55年来的稳定也让它像珠穆朗玛一样在诸多的国外考试中巍然屹立。
然而，近年来ets开始对自己所组织的考试逐一进行调整和改革，gre的改革也不例外地被提上了日程。
2006年似乎是国外考试的多事之秋，在新托福改革已经成为定局的时候，ets又一次正式公布了2006年10月进行gre改革的消息，并在其官方网站上发布了新gre的改革方案和样题。
这一消息无疑在“寄托者”群体中激起了不小的波澜，同学们也开始猜测gre到底会改成什么样，新的gre是否会比目前的考试更加困难。
按照ets的改革方案和所公布的新gre样题，笔者在进行了仔细地分析和研究后，认为其主要的变化包括如下的几点：1、考试时间：语言推理和数量推理（也就是语文和数学部分）都由原来一个30分钟的测试部分改为两个40分钟的测试部分，作文的issue写作由原来的45分钟减少为30分钟，考试总时间增加到4小时左右。
2、考试形式：由现行的pbt或cbt模式改为ibt模式，这一点和新托福的改革很类似。
3、考试内容：考试内容在三个部分都有变化，但是最主要是在语言推理（语文）部分，其主要变化包括：（1）取消原有的独立词汇测试，即俗称的“类反”部分；（2）修改原有的句子填空题型，增加了填空题的比例和新的题目类型；（3）修改阅读理解的文章数量和考察方式，设置了新的阅读理解题目类型；（4）增加了逻辑单题的测试。
此外，数量推理部分的难度也有所加大，作文对细节论述的要求增高。
笔者在对语言推理部分题目进行详细分析以后发现，新的gre 测试更加注重对考生逻辑能力的考察（这一点最明显地体现在逻辑单题的重新出现），同时把对词汇的测试很自然地融进了填空和阅读理解中，对考生提出了更加实际的要求。

新 变 化将于２００７年秋季开始的修订版ＧＲＥ考试，也就是大家所关心的新ＧＲＥ考试，将会在下面几个方面有所变化：部分，题目由以前的７题变成了１４题，并且答案选项的模式也变化了。
旧的考试填空的答案选项分为一空题目的答案和两空题目的答案，但是无论哪种，都是五选一。
修订版的考试样题中，填空１４道题目按答案选项分布如下：一空题中６选２的有５道题目，一空题中５选１的有４道题目，两空题有４道题目，三空题有１道题目。
因此在选择答案的模式上，更能考查知识的客观性。
其中两空题和三空题的答案选项变成了每个空格分别３选１，也就是说，每个空格要单独进行选择，每个选项由以前的５个变成了３个。
这样的话，随机选中答案的概率，两空题从以前的１／５变成了现在的１／９，新出现的三空题随机选中正确答案的概率变成了１／２７。
因此难度相对增加，所以就不能像以前一样，通过一次选择判断出两空题惟一正确的答案了。
尽管如此，两空题和三空题的解题逻辑基本上还是和以前的两空题一样。
填空题目里面惟一真正新增的题型就是一空题目里面的６选２，这里重点分析一下。
既然６选２是考查同义类比词，因此如果六个选项里面只有一对同义词对的话，必然就是正确答案了。
但如果有两对同义词对的话，那么就要根据句子的逻辑关系再进行进一步的判断了，而这个关系无非就是以前旧题型中要考查的同义重复和反义重复。
下面我们来分析一下具体的样题（样题来自ＥＴＳ官方网站）。
美国教育考试服务中心（ＥＴＳ）２月份宣布，今年９月在全球启动的新ＧＲＥ考试将同步在中国举行，而现行ＧＲＥ考试将于今年７月３１日截止。
