那么，在小学英语教学中，怎样才能让课堂气氛活起来呢？我觉得应该从以下几个方面入手：一、融洽的师生关系是活跃英语课堂气氛的前提融洽的师生关系，能激发学生对教师言行的认同效应．从而激发接受教学的热情，这是教育心理学的一条普遍规律，小学英语老师尤其需要牢牢把握这一规律。
首先，塑造优秀的讲台形象是吸引学生注意力的永久魅力。
特别是对于新的任课教师与学生之间的初次接触，更是一次严峻考验。
因为英语作为小学课程中相对于学生“司空见惯”的语数等课程而言，是较为陌生的外语，必然在学生心理上产生神秘、向往、激动、无助、恐惧、自卑等负心理效应，并强烈渴望从老师的形象和言行中寻找答案和心理平衡。
如果教师能以可亲可敬的形象和入情入理的诱导，消除学生的负心理效应，而进一步激发学生向往、自信、兴趣等正心理效应，这就可以给教师以后的教学工作带来方便。
其次，在教学活动中，教师对教学工作认真负责的精神，及耐心、细致、百问不厌的态度，同样是赢得学生尊敬和信任的基础。
教师要经常深入到学生中去，了解他们的喜怒哀乐，为他们解答学习和生活中一切难题，做知心朋友，使学生认识到老师的最大希望就是使他们更好地掌握英语这门将来不可缺少的语言艺术。
思想上的共识，必然能强化师生之间的相互兴趣与信任，从而比较容易形成学生主动配合老师的教学活动，创造良好的师生关系和积极主动地双向配合教学关系相互促进的良性循环的局面。
