摘要：本篇实践报告选取自汉英翻译实践课堂作业中的一篇旅游类型的文本，通过翻译此篇文本旨在让大家了解广东的人文风貌，增加旅游兴趣。
在本篇英译实践报告中笔者运用了一些翻译方法和翻译技巧，同时在翻译过程中笔者对这些技巧和方法又有了更深层次的理解，希望能对今后的翻译实践提供帮助。

1 翻译任务描述
1.1 选材理由
笔者在本学期的汉英翻译实践课程作业中，选取了“广东印象”这一篇来撰写翻译实践报告。
一是因为对旅游这个方向的文本较有兴趣，进入21世纪，旅游渐渐成为中外民众的爱好之一。
有越来越多的外国游客喜欢中国的名胜古迹，所以旅游类文本的英译显得尤为重要。
二是因为此文本中所涉及的翻译技巧和翻译方法值得探究。
1.2 文本介绍
这篇文本的内容主要是对广东的介绍，包括人文历史，地理风貌，经济发展等方面。
相信读者看完这篇文章后会对广东产生浓厚的兴趣。
2 翻译过程描述
2.1 研读原文及查询资料
在确定好要写这篇翻译文本后，研读原文和查询资料必不可少。
虽然原文是中文文本，但是要知道我们进行汉译英时需要转换英式思维，而不是用我们固有的汉语思维，故笔者上网查询了一些英语旅游文本来帮助自己进行思维转换。
在读第一遍文章的时候笔者有圈出一些四字词语，或是逻辑不明显的地方。
对于一些专有词汇进行多方查证，写出最权威的英文用法。
最后再通读两遍全文，对文章整体有一个准确的把握。
2.2 翻译难点及解决方法
在翻译此篇文本过程中，最大的难点就是中英之间的思维转换，断句和对一些词汇词义的把握，其次就是文本翻译的连贯性。
因此笔者所采取的解决方法是一定要认真借助翻译词典查询生僻词，多读原文，熟悉此篇文本的语言风格及特点。
3 翻译方法实例分析
3.1 减译法
汉语中的重复现象多：为了表达得清晰、明确、生动，汉语经常采用原词复现的形式，以避免因过多使用代词而导致理解困难。
英语中的省略现象多：英语的用词造句讲究多样性，为了表达得简练、紧凑，避免原词复现，英语常采用省略或替代的方法来处理重复信息。
鉴于漢英两种语言的表达差异，译者在进行汉译英时要酌情使用减译法，用省略或替代的方法来翻译汉语的重复信息，以使译文更为地道、流畅。
例1
原文：广东地理位置得天独厚，三山五岳各具特色。
由于地质构造的成因，广东形成了不同景致的风景区和度假胜地。
译文：Guangdong Province enjoys a most favorable geographical location and boasts various kinds of mountains with their typical features. Because of its geographical structures， it is characterized by its beauty spots and holiday resorts with their peculiar sceneries.
分析：原文中出现了两次主语“广东”，说明广东是句子的大主语，既然主语一样，那就可以用到减译法，只需在整句开头翻译一次“Guangdong Province”，后文中用“its”指代即可，这样一来，译文更加流畅。
3.2 增译法
根据汉英两种语言不同的思维方式、语言习惯和表达方式，在汉译英时，译者有时还要增补一些原文中暗含但没有言明的词（组）或句子，或是增补一些表示解释、概括意义的词（组）或句子，以确保译文意思完整。
例1
原文：广东地理位置得天独厚，三山五岳各具特色。
译文：Guangdong Province enjoys a most favorable geographical location and boasts various kinds of mountains with their typical features.
分析：汉英两种语言表达方式不同，原文转化为英文思维即“广东拥有得天独厚的地理位置和各具特色的三山五岳。
”这样英语就要相对应的增补动词“boast”来确保译文意思完整。
3.3 词义替换
有时因为中西方文化的不同，在对一些词的理解上也会存在偏差，译者为了让读者看懂译文，在翻译时，需要将一些不合适的词义进行替换。
在进行翻译时一定要注意中英句式的结构，文化差异和单词表达，翻译成英语时，要注意合理进行词义替换来符合英语的表达习惯。
例1
原文：印象4：时尚推手
译文：Fourth Impression： Initiator of Fashions
分析：注意原文的“推手”，这个词原意为“古代礼节作揖时的动作”，但是如果按照词汇原意翻译，那么是不符合句意的，所以要进行词义的替换。
在这里“推手”其实是指“发起者”，故译为“ Initiator ”是合适的。
3.4 意译法
意译认为原语和译语各有自己的表达方式，要知道我们所翻译的并不是某些词，而是句子的意义本身。
要如实传达原文的思想内容，必须将译文改变成符合译语习惯的表达方式，而不是字对字的死译，否则译文就表现不了原文的精神实质。
例1
原文：...无数大片的首映式、演唱会、服装发布会，一时明星云集、冠盖华城，时尚元素、流行季风，从广东一路飘扬。
译文：...the first show of countless numbers of famous films， many vocal concerts and many costume promotion conventions take place here so that stars from all walks of life come to gather here and Guangdong takes the lead in promoting fashions in China.
分析：这里原文多用四字词语，而且表达意义重复，翻译成英语时没必要每个词都翻译出来，而且若直译，是不符合英语表达习惯的。
所以需要转换英语思维，用意译法进行翻译，译出原文本身想表达的意思，如“时尚元素、流行季风，从广东一路飘扬”意译为“Guangdong takes the lead in promoting fashions in China”。
译文并没有直接写出“流行季风”的对应词，但是却巧妙的写出它的引申义，不可谓不高招。
4 结论
4.1 翻译总结
经过了本次汉英翻译实践后，笔者深有感触。
汉语喜动英语喜静，汉语重意合而英语重形合，做汉译英翻译要记得“得意忘形”。
在进行汉英翻译时要有思维的转换，不能盲目按照自己的想法翻译。
要知道翻译其实是阐述句子主要结构的核心含义，而不是一味地纠结没什么用处的词汇的含义。
笔者深刻体会到做翻译要有足够的耐心和双语能力，必须多加锻炼自己的双语思考能力，要有娴熟的双语驾驭能力。
关于旅游文本的翻译，其实是要让国外游客读懂看懂并且喜闻乐见，实现译文文本的交际功能，所以在进行英译时要注意文体风格简约，结构严谨明了，用词规范，表达直观通俗，切忌行文啰嗦堆砌。
4.2 翻译不足之处
经过此次翻译实践，笔者发现自己的双语思维能力和表达能力仍有待提高，在做翻译的时候不知道要如何进行词汇意义转换。
这篇文章难度中等，也反映出平时没有多读书多积累知识。
今后要多阅读双语材料，做翻译分析和词汇积累，在翻译实践中，仍要学习各种翻译方法，熟用一些技巧来提高自己的翻译能力。
