(3) 疑问句:Was/Were+主语+ v.-ing + 其他?Were you sleeping at ten o’clock last night? Yes, I was./No, I wasn’t.7. 过去进行时态中的when和while(引导的时间状语从句)when和while这两个词都有“当…的时候”的意思,引导时间状语从句。

when 既可指某一点时间, 也可以指一段时间; while 强调一段时间, 所以从句的谓语动词常是延续性的。

当when表示“在某一段时间里” 的意思时, 它可以代替while, 但while不能代替when。

(1)when “当…..时候”当主句的动作是持续性的,而从句动作是短暂性的,此时用when引导时间状语从句,从句用一般过去时态,主句用过去进行时态。
