而动画，世界上不同的国家、不同的机构、不同的大师对“动画”的定义有很多，其中以日本为例，《日本大百科全书》对“动画”一词的阐述是：动画就是将那些本体不会动的图画、木偶等等，每次逐渐变化其形态拍摄一格（有时是多格），这样反复地拍摄使之看上去能动的一种影视的总称。
动画本身亦可以作为纯技术而独立应用，大家普遍观看和接触的动画，其实是和影视艺术等其他艺术形式相结合的一种复合艺术。
动画也是一种颠覆现实的方法，它对每一天重新定义，它推翻了我们所接受的现实的观点，它还挑战我们对于存在的正统理解等等。

因为有很多都是很有教育意义、浪漫色彩、值得深究的。
因为动漫的出产数量很大，而且为了赚钱会 ... 相当多青少儿年龄段的人看。
而具有深刻的哲学意义的片子也有，最为人民了解的就是宫崎骏的动画，特别是《千与千寻》，曾获得75届奥斯卡动画金奖。
中国动画片由于种类繁多、民族风格独特以及 ... 精良而被国际动画艺术界誉为“中国动画学派”。
但是自上世纪80年代开始，我国动画片逐渐与发达国家拉开差距。
