UPS设备通常对电压过大和电压过低都提供保护。

UPS电源的工作原理市电输入正常时:UPS将市电稳压后供应给负载使用,此时的UPS就是一台交流市电稳压器,同时它还向机内电池充电。

市电中断(事故停电)时:UPS立即将机内电池的电能,通过逆变转换的方法向负载继续供应220V交流电,使负载维持正常工作并保护负载软、硬件不受损坏。

后备式UPS平时处于蓄电池充电状态,在停电时逆变器紧急切换到工作状态,将电池提供的直流电转变为稳定的交流电输出,因此后备式UPS也被称为离线式UPS。

后备式UPS电源的优点是:运行效率高、噪音低、价格相对便宜,主要适用于市电波动不大,对供电质量要求不高的场合,比较适合家庭使用。

然而这种UPS存在一个切换时间问题,因此不适合用在关键性的供电不能中断的场所。

在线式UPS这种UPS一直使其逆变器处于工作状态,它首先通过电路将外部交流电转变为直流电,再通过高质量的逆变器将直流电转换为高质量的正弦波交流电输出给计算机。

在线式UPS在供电状况下的主要功能是稳压及防止电波干扰;在停电时则使用备用直流电源(蓄电池组)给逆变器供电。

由于逆变器一直在工作,因此不存在切换时间问题,适用于对电源有严格要求的场合。

在线式UPS不同于后备式的优点是供电持续长,一般为几个小时,也有大到十几个小时的,它的主要功能是可以让您在停电的情况可像平常一样工作,显然,由于其功能的特殊,价格也相对要贵一些。

二、安全1.为了降低设备负载接地不良而引起的电击危险,在连接RS232 SNMP接口时,应将市电输入电源、旁路输入电源断开,只有在连接了全部信号接头后才能闭合市电输入电源和旁路输入电源。

一般说来,租用一条T-3(45Mbit/s)或OC-3(155Mbit/s)线路,每个月的租金至少需要20000~30000元,只有大型企业才能够负担这样高昂的费用。

对于中型规模的企业,通常会选择T-1接入,月租金大约为3000元。

但是大多数小规模的企业和广大住宅用户只能采用基于电话线路的窄带接入(POTS和拨号)。

现在,DSL和Cable Modem 作为过渡技术,提供了比较便宜的数据传输服务,但是这些技术也有其缺点,如实施比较困难,施工周期比较长,带宽受到传输距离和现有线路的质量影响较大,对话音服务支持不好等等。

虽然接入网技术的发展相对缓慢,远距离网络传输的带宽却因为波分复用(WDM)等新技术的应用而迅速增长。

近来WDM已经开始渗透到城域网范围。

与此同时,企业内部的局域网已经从10 Mbit/s升级到100 Mbit/s,其中很多不久还会升级到1000 Mbit/s。

城域网具有巨大的带宽容量,末端用户的带宽需求也不断增长,而“最后一公里”的接入就成为了两者之间的瓶颈。

由于UPS单机本身的故障率低,因此目前大型UPS产品的平均无故障工 作时间(MTBF)为20万~40万小时。
采用具有高度容错功能的“N+1”型UPS冗余并机系统来进一步提高 UPS供电系统的可靠性(“1+l”型冗余并机系统的典型MTBF值可达140 万~200万小时)。
在整套UPS供电系统中,不应存在单点瓶颈故障隐患。 允许在UPS逆变电源连续供电的条件下,执行不停电的维护和检修操 作。 万一在用户设备端出现短路故障时,应将故障的影响缩小到尽可能小 的范围。
2、开关机顺序
为了避免负载在启动瞬间产生的冲击电流对UPS造成损坏,正确 的使用方法是首先给UPS供电,使其处于旁路工作状态,然后再逐个 打开负载,最后才开机.这样就避免了负载电流对UPS的冲击,使UPS 的使用寿命得以延长。关机顺序可以看做是开机顺序的逆过程,首 先逐个关闭负载,再将UPS关闭。(如果是晚上关总闸开关时,必须 先把UPS关掉后再关总闸,以免造成UPS空载工作,从而造成电池由 于小电流放电而损坏机器
3.关机之后
在市电中断后,UPS由电池组供电并自动关机后,不可 再利用UPS电池组供电开机,以避免电池因过量放电而损坏。 当市电发生异常而转为UPS电池组供电时,应及时断开市电, 待市电恢复正常后再打开市电(市电异常,比如说三相电掉
一相电)
4.使用环境
与电脑的工作环境类似,UPS对环境温度的要求同样 也不是很高,通常在0℃~40℃都能正常工作。但防尘问题 同样也困扰着UPS,UPS的使用环境要求清洁、少尘、干燥, 灰尘和潮湿的环境会引起UPS工作不正常。而UPS电池组对 温度要求则较高,标准使用温度为25℃,平时最好不要超 出15℃~30℃这个范围。温度过低不但会减小电池组的容 量,还会进一步影响UPS的使用寿命。另外,UPS的防磁能 力也不是很好。所以不应把强磁性物体放在UPS上,否则 会导致UPS工作不正常或损坏机器。
