给你50秒钟时间准备朗读。当听到“开始录音”的信号后，立即在80秒钟内朗读下面短文一遍，当听到要求“停止录音”的信号时，应立即终止朗读。
Some scientists believe that there are three types of memory ----immediate memory, short-term memory and long-term memory.
Immediate memory holds pieces of information from the five senses for less than a second. Then it either forgets them or passes them on to short-term memory.
Short-term memory can hold about seven pieces of information at a time, for example, telephone numbers. It holds them for about thirty seconds. Then they are forgotten or passed on to long-term memory.
Long-term memory can hold information for the whole of our lives. Some scientists believe that long-term memory can be divided into two types. One type remembers events, and the other remembers knowledge, for example, the names of countries or the meanings of words.
