一、教学内容：五上Unit5 What do they do? the first Period（Story time）二、教材内容分析本单元的主题是“What do they do?”。
Story time分呈现了Su Hai在Mike 家里聊天的场景，由两部分构成。
在第一部分，Su Hai在看Mike的全家福照片，并询问Mike父母亲的工作。
在第二部分，Su Hai向Mike介绍了自己父母的职业。
这两段介绍父母工作的对话可作为学生进行口头表达时的一个范例，也可以作为学生进行写作练习的参考。
教师可以利用多媒体呈现表示驾驶员、教师、农民和工人四个职业的图片，要求学生观察图片，通过这些人手中的物品提示，来猜测他们能做什么，进而引出目标词汇。
教师可以用谜语的形式描述各种职业，要求学生猜出职业的名称。
教师也可以根据学生的实际情况，要求学生自编谜语，在小组中进行有关职业的猜谜活动。

四、教学步骤
Step 1 Greetings
Ask one student to give a short duty report.
Step 2 Leading-in
After he finishes it, ask the other students to ask the reporter questions.
Then say: I have a question, too. What does she do? Do you know? Is she a teacher? No, she isn’t.
Help students to answer: She is a student.
Then ask: What’s she? And w hat’s her job?
Help students to answer: She is a student.
Step 3 Presentation
教师一边出示职业图片，一边询问：
What does she do?
=What’s her j ob?
Then show different pictures, teach new words: actor, shop assistant, waiter, bank clerk, policeman, policewoman, doctor and reporter.
Step 4 Game
First read the new words together. Then play the “Bingo” game with the words.
Step 5 Drill
Say: What do your families do? Work in pairs, make your own conversations. You can use any words you know.
A: What does your father/mother/… do?
(=What is your father’s/ mother’s/…job?
B: He / She is a/an…. He / She…
Ask some pairs to demonstrate their conversations.
五、家庭作业
调查一下家族成员职业情况，并用英语写出来。

这节课我觉得完成了本课的教学目标，在课堂上通过循序渐进的引导，全面的训练了学生的能力。
让学生开口用英语交流方面，比较薄弱，这是今后教学中需要改进的地方。
