今天我要跟大家谈一谈英语学习的重要性和怎样学好英语。
先给大家讲个笑话。
某领导携夫人访问国外。
外方人员说，啊，你夫人真漂亮。
大家都知道当听到别人的夸赞时，我们应该回答：Thank you. 但是按中国人的习惯谦虚一下，哪里哪里。
于是翻译译：Where Where
外方纳闷，漂亮就漂亮了，还要问哪里漂亮！算了，你夫人漂亮到家，啥地方都漂亮。
于是，答曰：Everywhere！Everywhere！（到处）由此可见学好英语并了解说英语国家的文化习惯是很重要的，不然像这个翻译一样就闹笑话了。
怎样学好英语
一、培养学习英语的兴趣
爱因斯坦曾经说过：“兴趣和爱好是最好的老师”。
浓厚的学习兴趣，可以使人集中力量，深入思考。
如果让你去做一件你毫无兴趣的事，你根本无法做好，任何事如此，英语学习也不例外。
有的同学说：“天生就对英语没兴趣。
”此言差矣。
须知，有些兴趣并非与生俱来，而是后天培养的。
为什么不试着通过你感兴趣的东西去靠拢你无兴趣的英语学习呢例如，有人喜欢音乐，有英文歌曲；有人喜欢看录像带，有中文字幕的录相片……千万别把英语只理解成枯燥的单词、语法，千万别把英语学习当成一种负担。
培养学习英语的兴趣，这是学好英语的第一步。
二、课堂的学习是学习好英语的主渠道，学生应当上好每节英语课，首先必须做好预习，预习就是学生在课前的自学，是学生对学习的一种准备，预习会给学习带来很多好处。
就学英语而言，预习时可以把不认识的句子、不会读的单词及发音记下来，找时间向别人请教或者在课堂上注意听老师讲解遇到的问题。
如果，课前不做好准备，对新的内容没有大概的了解，那么在听课时就会没有重点，似乎所学内容都是新的东西，都是很重要的内容，是分不清主次的，甚至所有的知
识点都成了难点，这样的学习是不会收到好的效果的。
同时，课前预习的另一个优点是自己课前能把新知识与旧知识串联在一起，进行比较、归纳，找出它们的共性和个性，力求达到以新带旧，温故而知新。
另外，课后复习是上好英语课的另一重要条件。
课后要及时复习，反复刺激，及时强化，达到减少遗忘的效果。
大家还记得胡小风同学曾经提过的艾宾浩斯遗忘曲线吗根据这一理论，任何知识如果不加以复习强化都是会忘记的。
这就是为什么大部分同学总是抱怨“记了就忘记了就忘该怎么办”这是因为你没有及时复习。
在这里我教给大家一个方法，我将其称为“五遍复习法”。
每节课最后两分钟把这节课的知识归纳总结一下，自习课之前5-10分钟的时间把老师上午讲的知识看一遍。
晚上睡觉之前躺在床上将这一天的知识在脑袋里过一遍，第二天上课之前再将昨天学的知识回顾一下。
学完一个模块之后再将上一模块的知识复习一遍。
经过这五遍的小复习，知识就由瞬时记忆转化为永久记忆了，基本就不会再忘了。
三、多听多说，提高听说能力
听说关，是英语学习中又一大难题。
我们学习英语的目的就是为了交际。
如果听说关过不了，就真的成了“哑巴英语”。
关于听力，没有别的途径，只能多听录音带，听什么当然是我们教科书配套的录音带，仔细听发音，揣摸朗读者的语调，跟随他的语速。
在此基础上选择一些课外练习，我们晚饭后的听力练习一定要认真对待。
背课文是一个虽枯燥，但却十分行之有效的方法。
“读和背是不同的，背过的课文印象深，里面的句子换了词也能张口说出，就会逐渐形成一种语感”。
多开口讲，是一种锻炼的好方法。
不要怕出错，说出的错误可以改，不说有错永远也改不了。
多与同学用英语交谈，一句、两句慢慢慢发展。
再有，不要管对方会不会英语，听得懂听不懂，也可以对他说，这样是不是会更大胆，更自然呢这也是一种锻炼。
四、最后，给大家讲一下单词记忆的几种方法
英语单词是整个英语学习的基础，如何掌握好每个单词的发音和书写是摆在我们面前的一个重大问题。
记忆单词如果没有什么好方法，只会死记硬背，不但记得不熟，而且记住的还容易忘记，效果自然不好。
在这里我给大家总结了几种记忆单词的方法：
1.由音及形法。
即弄清这个单词中的字母或字母组合的发音,根据读音写出相应的字母及字母组合.这样既可以使们准确发音,又能较容易地记住单词拼写.
2.分类法。
把学过的单词按其属性分门别类串在一起记。
例如季节：spring、summer、autumn winter学科：english、maths、physics history、 chinese……颜色：red、yellow、white black、green……
3.联想法。
利用词与词之间类似之处进行对比，利用词与词之间的差异进行分析辨认。
这不仅能加深我们对新词的印象，还同时巩固了旧词。
例如：
近形近音plane-plant-plan
同义词big--large、tall--high、trip--travel
反义词tall--short、left--right、lost--found
词的搭配look at--look for--look up--look after
单词，犹如万仗大厦的基石，学好单词，在英语学习过程中又迈出了一大步。
总而言之，“冰冻三尺非一日之寒”英语学习是一个长期坚持，持之以恒的过程。
