山西各旅游景点翻译1.晋祠：晋祠名号的由来，据《史记·晋世家》的记载，周武王之子成王姬育封同弟叔虞于唐，称唐叔虞。
叔虞的儿子焱，因境内有晋水，改国号为晋。
后人为了奉祀叔虞，在晋水源头建立了祠宇，称唐叔虞祠，也叫做晋祠。
因此，对于现在的四个译名：Jinci、Jinci Temple、Jin Memorial Temple、Jinci Memorial Temple。
而笔者更倾向于“Jin Memorial Temple”这个译名，这是因为汉字的“祠”与英文中对应的单词是“Memorial Temple”而不是“Temple”，“晋”是指国号，用来修饰“祠”的，所以“Jinci Temple”和“Jin Memorial Temple”这种译法有重复之意，“Jinci”这种完全音译的方法，对外国人来说毫无意义。
因此，最准确易懂的译名应该是“Jin Memorial Temple”（Jin refer to the title ofa reigning dynasty）。
2.文殊菩萨：历史上，宗教文化的传播离不开宗教术语的译介，早在我国翻译史的第一个高峰时期—东汉至唐订的佛经翻译中，翻译学家在采用归化翻译方法的同时，就大量使用异化移植的方法引进了很多反映印度佛教文化的词语。
因此，根据其读音将佛教术语从梵文直接异化移植至英语。
文殊是梵文“文殊师利”的音译之略，所以英语为Manjus而不采用Wenshu的译法。
菩萨，又作菩提萨陲，应为Bodhisattva.3.日晟昌票号：目前有三种翻译：一种是汉语拼音“Rishengchang”，一种是“Sunrise Prosperity”，还有一种是“draft bank”。
“Rishengchang”是按照汉语拼音直接拼写而成，具有浓厚的中国文化色彩但外国人不知道它的意义及用途。
第二种明显是汉英一对一直译的结果，外国人也不知道这是一个什么机构有什么功用，第三种显然没有把该票号特殊的意义翻译出来。

在这张指路牌 中，西安曲江 景区中的“大 唐不夜城” 则被翻译为 “Great Tang
All Day Mall”。
大唐不夜城译为 “GreatTangAllDayMall”，这个意思 是“只在白天营业的商场”。 “All day”在英文就指白天，和“不夜”没 有关系。
来中国考察的马来西亚华人邓先生慕名参观秦始皇兵马俑博 物馆，在商业街上随便转转，就发现紧挨着的4家商户中的5 个牌匾至少有9处差错。下图为其中一块牌匾。
restaurant（餐馆）写为rsetaurant， agency（机构）写为anency，jade（玉器） 写为gade，commercial（商业）写为 coammercial等等。而这条商业街，紧临秦 兵马俑博物馆的停车场，是游客的必经之 地。
一对来自美国的夫妇也指出了这些错误。 除过上述拼写错误之外，在格式和表达上， 这些牌匾也存在不少的错误。
一个单词。例如：“江、河、川、水、溪”英译为river。 1、嘉陵江 the Jialing River（四川） 2、永定河 the Yongding River （河北、北京、天津） 3、螳螂川 the Tanglang River（云南） 4、汉水 the Hanshui River（陕西、湖北） 5、古田溪 the Gutian River（福建）

专名是同一个汉字的不同英译法
专名中同一个汉字有不同的读音和拼写，据笔者不完全统 计，地名中这样的汉字有七八十个之多，每个字在地名中的 读音和拼写是固定的，英译者不能一见汉字就按语言词典的 读音和拼写翻译，而只能按中国地名词典的读音和拼写进行 翻译。例如：
1、陕
陕西省 Shaanxi Province 陕县 Shanxian County（河南）
通名专名化的英译法
通名专名化主要指单音节的通名，如山、河、江、湖、海、 港、峡、关、岛等，按专名处理，与专名连写，构成专名整 体。例如：
1、都江堰市 Dujiangyan City （比较：the Dujiang Weir） （四川）
2、绥芬河市 Suifenhe City （比较：the Suifen River） （黑龙江）

不仅如此，就连举世闻名的“秦始皇兵马俑博物馆”，其翻 译版本至少有15种，仅官方旅游网站就有6种译名，博物馆自身也 有3种译名。
公路上胡译、乱译的现象更加严重。大街小巷英文标识对 “道路”的翻译不一：有的被翻译成road，有的直接用拼音“lu” 取代，还有的用“RD”表示。

西安曲江路上，两处“大唐不夜城”的指示牌，一处是翻译 成“Great Tang All Day Mall”，另一处却被翻译成“Tang Mall”。

随着中国的成长壮大，中国旅游业也因此发展起来。越 来越多的外国游人来到中国旅游，为了接受中国5000年古 老文化的洗礼。但是，中国旅游翻译却漏洞百出。
在一家宾馆里“当心玻璃”被译作carefully glass；一地 下通道里的指示牌英译中“直走”竟然用汉语拼音标成 “zhizou”。这样的错误，不仅让外国朋友“雾里看花”， 更会影响到城市的形象。

专名是单音节，通名也是单音节，这时通名应视 作专名的组成部分，先音译并与专名连写，后重复 意译，分写（括号内为该地所在省、市、地区或县， 下同）例如：

大雁塔是西安市著名的旅游景点。唐代永徽三年（公元652 年），玄奘为藏经典而修建，塔身七层，通高64.5米。被视 为古都西安的象征。
在雁塔路上,指示牌上大雁塔被译 为big wild goose 。 把这句英文再翻译成汉语，就成 了“大野鹅塔”。 在英语里不分鹅与雁，goose的 本意是鹅，但通常引申为“像鹅 一样臃肿的，摇摇晃晃的傻瓜、 笨蛋”。不仅路牌上这样翻译大 雁塔，大雁塔的官方网站上也是 这样翻译。
