Unit 8 Is there a post office near here?

Section A

1. There be 句型

(1)There be+sb/sth +地点在某地有某人或某物

（there引导词，没有词义；be 是谓语动词；某人/物是主语，地点作状语，多为介词短语）

There is a bank in the neighborhood.

(2)There be 句型的谓语动词be 在人称和数上应以后面的第一个名词保持一致就近原则

There is some salad on the table . There are some students in the classroom.

There is a boy and two girls in the room.

(3)一般疑问句：将be 动词提到句首

肯定回答：Yes，there is /are.

否定回答：No，there isn’t/aren’t

(4)否定句：在be 后加not.

(5) There be 句型表示客观存在;have/has 表示主观拥有

There be 句型不能与have/has 连用。

4.方位介词的用法：

across from …在……对面，后接地点名词或代词= on the other side of /opposite

cross = go across 穿过（指从物体的表面穿过，马路桥）

through 穿过（指物体的中间穿过公园森林）

5.next to 在…..旁边，靠近……后接地点名词或代词near 在....附近

6.between…and…在…和…之间（两者之间，人时间数字场所）

She is sitting between Lily and Lucy.

7. in front of 在……前面（范围之外）强调在某事物范围之外的前面

in the front of 在…..前面（范围之内）强调在某事物范围内的前面

8.Excuse me 打扰了，对不起劳驾因询问事情，打扰别人而表示歉意时的用语，常用在问路之前。sorry 对不起因做错事，说错话时向别人道歉时的用语。

Excuse me.用法归纳

(1)用来向不熟悉的人打听情况或提出请求（其实质用法是引人注意）请问；劳驾；对不起。

(2)用来客气地打断别人的话，对不起。

(3)用作从别人面前经过时的礼貌用语，劳驾；对不起Excuse me，could I get past？劳驾，让我过去好吗？

(4)表示中途退席或暂时告退，对不起。Excuse me，just a moment. 对不起，请稍候。

(5)表示不同意或不赞成（其后常接用but 表转拆），对不起。

Excuse me，sir，but you can‘t park here. 先生，对不起，你不能在此停车。

(6)表示事先对自己不礼貌的行为道歉，对不起。

(7)表示有礼貌地询问某事或请求允许，请问；对不起。

Excuse me，Miss Gao，what‘s this in English？高老师，请问这个用英语怎么说？

(8)用来代替sorry 表示道歉（主要用于美国英语中），对不起。

(9)表示不耐烦或不愿帮忙，对不起。Excuse me，I‘m busy. 对不起，我正忙着呢。

(10)用来对有失礼仪的行为表示抱歉。打嗝时打喷嚏时说

(11)if you‘ll excuse me，如果你们不见怪（介意）的话。

9.far from=far away from 离...远

1.turn v 转动turn right /left 向右转/左转=turn to the right/left
