Ⅰ. The Object Clause (宾语从句)
宾语从句是英语复合句中用来充当宾 语的句子。
宾语从句一般由“引导词+主语+谓语+其 它”构成,其语序是陈述句语序.
1. that+陈述句的宾语从句 例如: He says that___h_e_w__a_n_ts__to__s_p_e_a_k_t_o_y_o_u. .
e.g. If he doesn’t come on time, we won’t know what to know.

❖当主句是一般过去时的时候,宾语从句必须运用相应的 过去的某一种时态,从而达到主句和从句的相互一致。

初中英语教材中涉及到的复合句主要有: The Object Clause (宾语从句)、 The Adverbial Clause (状语从句) 、 The Attributive Clause (定语从句)。
其它诸如主语从句、表语从句、同位语从句等形 式的复合句尽管在教材中也有出现,但在中考中 没有被列为重点考查范围。
3.who, whom指人。who在定语从句中作主语或宾语, whom在定语从句中作宾语。在口语中,有时可用who或 that代 替 whom, whom 也可省略。如:
The girl who plays the piano very well is his daughter. (作主语) 那位钢琴弹得很好的女孩是他女儿。 Where is the girl (who/whom) you met last night? 你昨晚遇到的女孩在哪儿?

宾语从句与简单句的转换
1.由连接代词或连接副词 what, how, where 等引导的宾语 从句可转换为“疑问词+不定式”结构。如:

宾语从句的语序 无论主句是陈述句还是疑问句,宾语从句都要用陈述句语 序。如: We don't know where he lives. 我们不知道他住在哪里。 Do you know where he lives?你知道他住在哪里吗?

2.动词 think, make, find 等后的宾语从句可转换为简单句, 即:think/make/find+宾语+宾语补足语。如:
宾语从句的时态 在宾语从句中,谓语动词的时态要和主句中谓语动词的时 态保持一致,其一般规律为: 1.主句中的谓语动词如果是一般现在时,从句中的谓语动 词可以用任何时态。 2.主句中的谓语动词如果是一般过去时,从句中的谓语动 词要用相对应的过去时态。 3.如果从句所说的是客观真理或事实,从句中的谓语动词 则要用一般现在时。
