Sample 1
According to the recent research, the rate of students who suffer from nearsightedness, overweight, lack of sleep and mental problems has increased since 2007. It's obvious that students' physical and mental health has been worse during the last 2 years. So what on earth should be to blame?
First I think the increasing study pressure is one of the reasons. The competition between students is now growing fiercer and thus resulting in overstudy for students. Many students do their homework till night, which directly leads to their lack of sleep and their poor sight. Second, lack of exercise is another cause. Since the computer and the Internet are becoming more and more popular, students now tend to chat online or play computer games instead of having sports outside. We can not deny the fact that eating constantly and having no exercises can easily make you gain plenty of fat. Besides, inadequate care from parents is likely to bring about mental problems. There's an increasing trend that young parents prefer working to spending their time on their children for the financial pressures. So children may feel lonely and they can't get the sense of security. If this situation lasts a long period, children are likely to get mental problem.
From what I've analyzed above, I'll present 3 pieces of advice. First, it is urgent to reduce the heavy study pressure on students. Second, students should not to keep themselves at home all the time and they'd better do some sports outside, which can make their body stronger and healthier. Third, parents are supposed to pay more attention to their children. They must realize that their children are much more important than the money.
If all the suggestions I've mentioned have been adopted, I believe students will definitely develop healthier.

Students’ health has been a limelight curr ently. According to the statistics, the proportions of students who are nearsighted , overweight ,lacking in sleep and mentally unhealthy have increased by 9.3%, 16.4%, 9.6% and 15.5% from 2007 to 2009 . Namely, more and more students are faced with health problems.
There are two significant factors that result in the phenomenon. For one thing, with the improvement of people’s living standard, students can obtain much more nutrition than before, which will lead to overweight. For another, as the social competition is increasingly fierce, never can the pressure of students be reduced. As a result, they feel nervous and try their best to study, which will cause nearsightedness, lack of sleep and mental problems.
As has been stated, judging by two main factors, students should eat less and do more exercise to keep physically healthy. What’s more, it’s essential to relieve the pressure of study, and walking outside or communicating with others can be a good method. All in all, health is the base of everything. So, it’s high time students laid emphasis on it.。
