回答方式也是All right?Anti-clockwise–逆时针,美式用法counter-clockwise。
尽量不要在英国适应美式用法,会让人误解为和顺时针作战的!Any road= anyway, 常见于英国北部,不是全英通用。
Derby, York, Newcastle 常见.Arse = ass 美语中没有或者不用这个词。
常见短语 "pain in the arse" 翻译为相当硌应或者相当烦人, I "can't be arsed" =I can't be bothered 没工夫理(它)。

【雅思⼩贴⼠】英式美式拼写的不同雅思考试是认可英式美式两种拼写的,但是最好不要两种标准混着⽤哦。
那么这两种标准在拼写上到底有什么不同呢?我们今天就来学习⼀下吧~-our还是-or· ⼤多数在英式英语中以-our结尾的单词,在美式英语中都变成了以-or结尾。
例如Colour-Color,Flavour-Flavor,etc.· 但是当-our的元⾳发⾳并没有被省略的时候,也就是发⾳不是/ə/⽽是其原本发⾳/ʊə/时,在两种英语中都要按照-our来拼写。
例如:contour, paramour,etc.· ⽽英式英语中,这些以-our结尾的单词加后缀的时候,有时候u会保留,有时候则可以去掉。
例如:Honour-Honorary,Colour-Colouration/Coloration,etc.例外:美式英语中Glamour这个词没有把U去掉。
在美国,结婚请柬上⼀般采⽤Favour和Honour这两个英式写法以⽰正式。
-re还是-er· 英式英语中⼀般使⽤-re这个后缀,最初来源于法语、拉丁语和希腊语,发⾳为/ə(ɹ)/,⽽美式英语中对应的则是-er。
这个区别常见于以-bre或-tre结尾的单词中,例如:calibre-caliber, centre-center, fibre-fiber, goitre-goiter,litre-liter, etc.例外:· 在英式英语中,源于德语的⼀些单词保留了-er的拼写。
例如:anger, mother, timber, water.· 来源于罗曼斯语系的单词也保留了-er的拼写,如danger,quarter, river etc.· 美式英语中如果使⽤Theatre这个拼法,则倾向于同时指代戏剧艺术和剧院,并且很多剧院在⾃⼰的名称中依旧采⽤英式Theatre的拼法。
· 以-cre, -ogre和-euchre结尾的单词在英式美式中拼写相同。
