一．教材分析
本单元主要围绕“动物”展开话题。
教材叙述了Danny、Jenny 和Brian去动物园游玩的故事，并为学生提供了英语警示牌的常用语言。
教学中教师应鼓励学生尝试用英语书写警示语，帮助学生掌握叙述故事的几个要素并进行写作。

Step I Lead in
Let’s try some tongue twisters.
小组对抗赛（group in four）。
教师出示4个有关动物的绕口令（难度依次加大），学生尝试将它们读出。
学生四人一组，小组中每
个人选择不同的绕口令，各组间选择同一个绕口令的同学进行PK。
（设计思路：用绕口令导入新课，学生体会英语绕口令在发音上
的韵律，拓宽其学习英语的渠道。
四个绕口令分别适合小组中不同层
次的学生，学生在PK过程中，组间竞争，组内合作，每个学生都有
为本组出力的机会，有助于提高学生的自信心。

学生列举几种性情温顺和凶猛的动物，学习新单词，讨论为什么
凶猛的动物危险。

出示几幅警示牌，学生学习danger一词并思考生活中可能遇到的

学生通过听录音进行选择，录音听两遍，之后请几位学生进行回

最后一个问题为开放性问题，学生回
答合理即可。

（设计思路：通过5-W问题的阐述，帮助学生了解如何叙述故事。

学生复述课文，复述时注意when, where, who, what, why等方面要完整。
两人一组进行练习，之后全班展示。
（设计思路：学生通过用叙述when, where, who, what, why等方面的内容构建起故事的梗概，练习用英语叙述一个故事。

9. Write a story about your trip to the zoo.
学生写一篇故事，介绍游览动物园的经历。

A trip to the zoo 教学设计一、教材依据和理论依据：选用的教材是河北教育出版社，DC加拿大国际交流中心合作编写的义务教育课程标准实验教科书八年级第二学期。
充分理解“新课标”倡导的“以学生为主体的新型课堂”教育理念。
我在本节中力求给学生构建一个自主、体验、探究、合作、交往的学习平台。
经过对授课班级学生的认知水平和性格特征的分析，我采用以合作小组为课堂活动的基本单位，自始至终的以学生为主体，教师为主导。
课堂中运用多媒体，大大提高了学生学习的兴趣，学生在教师的指导下活跃思维，扩展视野，展现个性，交流合作，以说促写，获得了成就感和自信心。
二、教学内容：（一）教材分析本单元的中心话题是“动物”。
动物是人类的朋友，动物对人类很重要。
本单元围绕这一话题开展各项语言活动，重点学习与动物有关的话题，以及与此相关的交际用语。
另外通过本单元的学习，让学生掌握重点词汇和句型的同时，增强保护动物的意识，了解动物对人类的重要性。
（二）教学内容分析本节课重点学习掌握介绍动物园的句式，例如：1.Do not feed the animals!2.When animals are scared, they can be dangerous.3.Let’s see the pandas. They are cute.本课主要通过对话形式展观和练习的。
在学生温故知新的过程中结合单元目标，融合已学过有关描述动物句式，进一步加深对本单元的教学中心的理解运用，增强学生对日常生活的描述能力，以说促写提高学生的语言表达能力。
因此，本课教学重点是向同学们教授如何用已经学会的句式，并结合将来时，一般现在时以及一般过去时以用说促写的方式提高学生的语言应用能力。
（三）学情分析八年级学生对英语有了一定的基础，学习热情高，所以我采用以小组合作的方式，在任务的设置中分工合作，从而提高了合作意识。
八级的学生正处于形象思维到抽象思维的过渡时期，所以，教学中采用直观的图片和动画，有利于学生的思维从感性认识到理性认识的过渡，符合认识规律。

在授课之前先让学生通过网络或其他媒体了解动物园的知识,同时回忆自己参观动物园的情景或与同学讨论他们去过动物园的场景。
课上可以通过让学生小组合作的形式进行相互交流;然后教师通过幻灯片、图片向学生展示动物园的情况,并让学生用英语简单介绍自己参观动物园的情况,介绍动物,保护动物。
