Starter Unit 3 What color is it?永顺县溪州中学罗小玲一、单元教材分析本单元主要围绕“询问颜色”这一主题展开各种教学活动,并以这一主题引出表颜色的单词,问颜色的特殊疑问句及其回答等语言功能。
同时学习了字母Ss~Zz、复习巩固所学的全部26个英语字母、总结归纳了元音字母a、e、i、o和u的发音规则。
在整个单元学习中注意给学生创造一个轻松、快捷记单词、愉快的学习、交流环境,通过听、说、读、写来培养学生综合运用知识的能力。
并让学生能在“做中学”(learning by doing),通过有限的课堂实践活动,注意观察别人的行动,能准确地用英语来表达。
通过本单元教学,使学生能运用所学英语,正确地描述物体的颜色;同时熟练掌握所学的26个英语字母。
二、单元学情分析本单元紧紧围绕“询问颜色”这一话题,把字母、有关颜色的日常交际用语、词汇有机地结合起来。
话题贴近学生的实际生活,学生们能很容易地将自己的生活体验用英语轻松地表达出来。
七年级的学生对英语很感兴趣,学习热情很高,有学习英语的愿望和兴趣,乐于参与各种英语实践活动,在教学过程中,教师应加以积极引导,恰当培养,让学生形成稳定的英语学习兴趣。
学生们正处于成长发育阶段,记忆力较好,理解和认知水平还有待提高,因此在教学过程中应以师生互动为主,充分练习,展示个性,让学生们运用所学的知识来解决问题,实现课堂的实效性。
此外,应注意学生在学习的过程中很容易把“What color”错写成或错读成“What’s color”,因此在练习中要反复强调。
三、单元教学建议采用自主学习、小组合作学习、Role playing、pair work等方式开展听、说、读、写的学习活动。
教师要尽量利用幻灯片、挂图、实物等给学生创造较为真实的英语情景,教师可以制作或让学生们制作各种颜色的卡片,整个教学过程应当自始至终在一种鲜明的色彩背景下进行,旨在营造那种为学生所喜爱的欢快气氛,教师应当在十种颜色上大做文章;在使用实物时要使颜色醒目;在组合图画时,要尽量用大色块;在使用投影时要使颜色突出来。
