下面我们就一起来学习一下与外国客户周旋时的一些英语口语表达吧!1.I will send you some brochures, if you are interested.

2.Can you suggest an alternative﹖能否告知您其他方便时间?3.If you are interested, we may consider selecting you as our partner.

4.I see.But aren't these prices for your domestic customers﹖

但是这些价格是提供给国内顾客的吗?5.Yes,we take note of your comment. Prices depend also on volume. How much quantity do you forecast to sell in the first year﹖好的,我们会注意这一点。

价格也会因数量而有所不同,贵公司预计在第一年销售多少数量呢?6.Then, let us develop together a marketing plan with yearly forecasts of volume with pricing.

He's a well-known topic killer. It's embarrassing to chat with him.

How to save a topic killer?

Say goodbye is too abrupt直接说goodbye太突兀一种常见的方式是,告诉别人你还有别的事要做,然后顺理成章又礼貌地就可以结束对话啦~Well, nice to meet you here, but I really have to go. I'll see you soon.和你聊天很开心,但我真得走了,回聊!Alright,I have an appointment this afternoon. I'll see you around sometime.

See you next time下次见、有空约我们都知道,有时候“下次见、有空约”大概率就是再也不见,再也不约。

Dialogue 1A: Is there any way you can cut us a better deal on your wholesale price for this order?B: We did the best that we could to give you a low price. Did you get our latest estimate?A: Based on the estimate you gave us, by the time we figure in transportation and other expenses, our profit is shot. With the offer you’ve given us, we’re making next to nothing. Can’t you do any better?B: I’ve already given you a discount of 20% off of what we normally charge… if I go any lower, we’ll have loss on the project. I really want to work with you on this, but we’ve already gone as low as we could go.A: To be honest… Our budgeted cost can’t exceed more than $150 dollars per unit. That’s our bottom line. If you can meet that price, you will get a deal. Otherw ise…B: I’ll say that… I’ll go over the numbers again with our financial team and see what I can do. I can’t give you any guarantees, but I’ll try.Dialogue 2A: You’ve got the email with all the specifications for the project from us, we’ll be accepting b ids until noon on Tuesday, if you have any questions in the meantime, please let me know…B: Actually, I do have a question. We’d like to know what you had in mind for a budget on this project. We’re hoping to put together a really competitive bid, but at the same time, we’d like to hit your target price too.A: I understand, but unfortunately it is our policy not to disclose our bottom line. You can be assured that price is a weighty consideration when we review the proposals, but we also take other elements into consideration, including design and practicality. We also give weight to the reputation of the submitting company.B: Do you have any price range? Is there any way you can give me an idea of what direction to go, or how high is too high?A: We are just looking for a reasonable price according to the specifications in our project blueprint. That’s all I can say.

当然,如果你看到你的朋友也在“困境”中,同样可以说get a drink or food, help the hostess, or make a phone call来帮助你的朋友脱身。

A polite “Thanks, I’m not interested” is your best response to unwanted calls(一句客气的“谢谢,我不感兴趣”是给烦人电话的最好答复),不要做任何解释或自愿做任何事情。

That’s a great question. I’d like to think about it and get back to you.(这个问题很好,我要先考虑一下再回答。

How To Keep A Conversation Going In English英语中如何维持对谈It is often difficult to keep a conversation going in any language. During most of our daily interactions with people, we engage in small talk. Small talk is a short, polite conversation about casual topics such as how your family is, the weather, or current sports news. As language learners, these are the first type of conversations we learn because the questions are easy to form, and we can learn a little about another person.

A great way to begin a longer conversation is to ask questions about the person you are talking to. Everybody likes talking about their own experiences, opinions, and thoughts, so asking questions can allow a longer conversation. Maintaining a conversation in a new language is not easy, but with these tools you can gain confidence in knowing how to express yourself thoroughly.

When interacting with foreigners, there might be times when you're not in the mood for a conversation or you're unsure of how to express yourself in English. Here are some polite ways to navigate such situations:1. Expressing Unavailability:- "I'm in a bit of a rush right now, but it was nice meeting you."- "I'd love to chat, but I have an appointment I need to get to."2. Using a Gentle Decline:- "I appreciate the conversation, but I'm feeling a bit tired today."- "Thank you for the offer to talk, but I'm just not upfor it at the moment."3. Setting Boundaries:- "I'm really enjoying some alone time right now. Can we chat another time?"- "I'm just not in the mood for a deep conversation. I hope you understand."4. Using Body Language:- Offer a polite smile and a nod to show you're not interested in engaging further.- Keep your body language closed off, like crossing yourarms or looking at your phone, to signal disinterest.5. Giving an Excuse:- "I need to get back to my work now, but it was great meeting you."- "I've got to take this call, but maybe we can continue this later."6. Redirecting the Conversation:- If you don't want to talk about a particular topic, try to steer the conversation elsewhere. "That's an interesting point, but I'm more curious about..."7. Being Honest, Yet Tactful:- "I'm still learning English and I'm not comfortable having a long conversation yet."- "I'm a bit of an introvert and I prefer to keep conversations brief."8. Using a Time Constraint:- "I can spare a few minutes, but I have to get going soon."- "I'm afraid I only have a moment to chat before I have to leave."9. Inviting a Follow-Up:- "I'd love to continue this conversation, but I have to go. Can we perhaps meet again tomorrow?"- "I'm really interested in what you're saying, but I have to run. Can we pick this up later?"10. Exiting Gracefully:- "It was really nice talking to you. I hope you have a great day!"- "I enjoyed our conversation. I'm going to head out now, but take care!"Remember, it's important to be respectful and considerate when declining to speak with someone. The goal is to avoid the conversation without causing offense or making the other person feel unwelcome.。

那么你的答案是什么?I’m from Ning bo.

不让介绍一下你的家乡,在中国的地理位置、以什么而出名、特产是什么、有没有什么地标性建筑,比如“I'm from Ningbo, a coastal city located in the east of Zhejiang Province, which is famous for its seafood”这样的话出来你的老外朋友才能根据你提供的信息继续和你聊下去,不然就是上面所看到的那种无法聊下去的场景。

比较恰当的回答是“I'm a Shanghai man/boy/girl/local.”
