本课的设计是以主题“seasons”为主线，通过激活了四年级下册Unit3 Weather、Unit5 My Clothes、五年级上册Unit3 What Would you like?及五年级下册Unit1 My Day中有关天气、服装、食物以及活动等内容，根据学生已有认知水平和语言能力，设计一系列“基于主题意义下”任务型活动，帮助学生综合运用所学语言进行表达。

本部分的核心内容是Which season do you like best ? Summer. Why? Because I like summer vacation.教材通过Miss White和Amy谈论一幅关于秋天的图画，展开就最喜欢季节的话题，在一问一答中不仅继续
了A部分的内容，同时将话题延伸至原因这一层面，大大丰富了学生的语言话题库。
本单元的话题虽然是季节，但可以滚动复习四年级关于天气的内容，也会涉及动作或行为这一层面，因而，要想让学生更好地输出，可以渗透一些关于动作的词组。
