（六）斗方可以将斗方视作中堂的特殊形式，它的长与宽相等，既可以将其装裱成中堂那样独L悬挂，也可以将其做成方形镜面，镶嵌在镜框之中。
（七）匾额大都悬挂在亭台楼阁、厅堂馆室的上面，一般匾额字体多为楷书、隶书和行书，也有古朴的篆书。
字少而大，结体严谨，疏密匀称，气势磅礴，庄重严肃。

（八）手卷是书法作品中左右展开较长的一种格式，因为其形成长度远远大于宽度，而且长度太长无法悬挂，只能用手边展开、边欣赏、边卷合，所以得名，也叫“长卷”。
其内容大多为一篇完整的文章或者一首（组）诗词。
手卷篇幅较短的有三、四米，长的可达十米以上，宽度一般为三十至五十厘米之间。
卷首外有“题签”，卷内开头有“引首”，后有“题跋”。
