了解复活节的来历及复活节的传统活动之一——寻找复活节彩蛋。
教具准备
1.有关单词卡片。
2.本课挂图。
3.水彩颜料，一个小篮子和几个蛋。
4.录音机或教学光盘。
教学过程
Step 1 Warming up
1.师生互致问候。
2.欣赏韵律诗：Looking for Easter Eggs。
3.呈现课题。
（1）板书韵律诗的题目：Looking for Easter Eggs。
（2）告诉学生Easter是复活节的意思，并请学生拿出所搜集的有关复活节的文字和图片材料，谈谈复活节。
（3）教师总结：复活节是基督教徒纪念耶稣复活的一个宗教节日，复活节有不少传统活动，最典型的要数寻找复活节彩蛋（Looking for Easter Eggs），因为蛋是多子多孙和生命的象征。
（4）揭示课题并板书：Unit 3 Easter Eggs Part A。
（5）教学单词Easter和词组Easter eggs，Easter cards，Easter presents等。
Step 2 Presentation
（一）初读课文，了解寻找复活节彩蛋前要做的事情
1.教师告诉学生，复活节的日期年年不同，但一般在3月22日至4月25日之间，接着教师指着今天的日期说。
2.教师播放课文录音或CD-ROM,学生认真听，教师在黑板上贴出课文的三幅挂图。
3.请学生根据对课文情景的理解，说一说凯特的妈妈准备做的三件事情，教师在图片下板书：make some Easter eggs，color the eggs和hide the eggs。
4.告诉学生，复活节前夕，人们给鸡蛋着色打扮一番，然后把它们藏在花园的草丛中或者花坛里。
复活节早上，孩子们会进行一项寻找复活节彩蛋的活动。
（二）教学三个词组
1.教学make some Easter eggs。
先请学生读一读这个词组，然后出示一些由make引导的词组，如：make dumplings，make New Year‟s card，make the paper flowers等，复习巩固make 的用法。
2.学习单词color，brown和词组color the eggs。
（1）出示单词卡片color，请学生读一读，并以color作“颜色”解时造句，如：What color is it?
My favorite color is pink. I like the color. …
（2）告诉学生，color还有“上颜色”的意思，是动词，如：color the eggs。
请学生以color 作“上颜色”解时造句，如：Color the pictures. Color the flowers. …
（3）教师出示一粒蛋和红色水彩颜料说：“Color the egg red.”并给蛋涂上一圈红色。
教师接着出示黄色、绿色等的水彩颜料，学生说句子，教师涂色。
最后教师出示棕色的水彩颜料，边涂边说：“Color the egg brown.”然后教学单词brown。
（4）请一两位学生上台制作彩蛋，台下的学生说句子，将制作好的彩蛋放在一个小篮子里。
3.教学hide the eggs。
（1）教师出示单词ride，引导学生学习单词hide的发音。
（2）通过动作学习hide the eggs。
（3）游戏：根据指令做动作。
游戏规则：教师先示范发指令，学生根据指令做出相应的动作，然后请个别学生发指令，其余学生做动作，如：
Please hide your English book in the desk. Please hide your pencil in your Chinese book. A, please hide your pencil-box in B’s bag. …
（三）再读课文，学习如何讲述将要做的事情
1.教师在黑板上三张图片的上方板书：What are you going to do，Mom? I’m going to….
2.请学生自读课文对话，体会这两个句子的含义，然后请学生根据自己的理解来说一说。
3.教师告诉学生，be going to do sth是表示“打算做……事”，往往是计划或安排好的事情，be going to后面接动词原形，如：I’m going to go swimming. She is going to fly the kite. We are going to play football.
4.根据板书内容，读句子：What are you going to do, Mom?
I’m going to make some Easter eggs/color the eggs/hide the eggs.
5.完成课本第17页的Look and say.部分。
（1）请个别学生读一读这四句话。
（2）教师播放录音，学生模仿跟读。
（四）分角色朗读课文对话
1.教师播放课文录音或CD-ROM二至三次，学生模仿跟读。
2.同桌合作，一个人读，另一个人听，相互帮助解决发音问题及疑难问题。
3.教师出示水彩颜料和装有几个蛋的小篮子，然后播放课文录音，四位学生根据录音，分角色运用蛋和水彩颜料表演对话内容。
4.再请几位学生分角色朗读课文对话。
（五）语音教学
1.教师播放课本第17页的Listen and learn the English sounds.部分的录音，学生听音模仿跟读。
2.请学生来说一说，在这些单词中字母e和字母组合ee，ea发什么音。
3.教师领读，然后个别学生示范读。
4.请学生再举几个字母e和字母组合ee，ea发［ｉ］音的例子，如：tea，we，green，teacher，tree等。
Step 3 Extension 综合活动：我的计划
1.教师出示一些场景，如：supermarket，playground，park，museum等。
（1）教师与学生示范对话如下：
T：I’m going to the supermarket. What am I going to do? Guess.
A：You’re going to buy some juice.
B：You’re going to buy some fruits. …
T：I’m going to buy some fruits and some ice cream. Who is right? （给猜对的学生所在的小组加分）
（2）给学生一至两分钟的时间，让学生在纸张上写出自己打算去的地方和打算做的事情。
（3）请一位学生上台提问，其余的同学猜，开展对话活动。
2.教师还可以出示一些节日的情景，如：Children’s Day，Teacher’s Day，Spring Festival等，开展对话活动。
Step 4 Homework
1.听课文录音，并模仿跟读。
2.完成《活动手册》中本课的练习。
3.制作一个复活节彩蛋，下节课带来。
