本学期我们每班每周四课时,周二、周四早自习和周一、周三下午自习课时间做听力练习。

(二)工作措施

工作中偏重语言点的教学,课堂上听力练习较少,学生对信息听取方面做得较差。

二是生词和短语的测试学生的成绩低,暴露出基础知识不够扎实,灵活运用语言的技能相对薄弱的问题。

三是运用能力不够灵活。

学生的阅读能力、理解能力、分析能力、判断能力、应变能力等均不能达到要求,说明在基础知识的掌握方面还有待于进一步强化。

二、选修课开设情况,教材的整合、教辅材料使用情况
(一)本学期我们学习外研社的必修五和顺序选修六两册,本学年计划完成选修七、八两册。

(二)关于教材的整合方面,我们做到以下几点:
一是吃透教材,挖掘教学资源。

新课程改革,对教材的要求不仅仅是要成为学生们学习的课程,教师还要扩展新的教学资源。

我们在吃透教材,了解内容的基础上,深层次挖掘与其相关的教学资源。

例如:必修五第四模块《reading and vocabulary Carnival》是一篇介
绍西方狂欢节的文章,为了让学生能比较全面了解西方的节日文化,我们通过网络搜集贴近西方实际生活的简易英文版本阅读材料,在授课时延伸教学范围,注重文化导入,学生的学习兴趣大大提高,在加深对教材中文章理解的同时,还丰富了课外知识,培养了跨文化交际意识。

二是了解学生,充分发挥学生的主观能动性。

目前,新课程教学改革后较之以前教学任务加大,这就要求我们在吃透教材和挖掘资源的基础上,了解学生实际英语水平,根据学生现有的语言应用能力,设定教学目标,以保证完成每个教学环节的功能训练。

例如:目前我个人班级的学生英语基础薄弱,为此我在进行选修六第二模块授课时,把本模块最后的“Reading and Practice ”和“Culture Corner”整合为一课时,前者讲的是美国人如何交朋友,后者中讲到AAA模式,即如何跟陌生人交谈。

我先让学生通读全文,学习里面的方法,然后以“如何利用AAA模式来交友”为题在课堂上展开小组讨论,并要求他们注重使用本单元教材提供的常用句型。

从学生的踊跃发言中可以看出,由于设臵任务较简单,增强了学生们的参与意识,也培养了学生们学好英语的信心,达到了预期的教学效果,顺利完成了本节课的教学任务。

(三)教辅材料使用情况:
在目前提倡素质教育的浓厚氛围下,英语选修教材中越来越多地涉及到异域文化,这就对我们在教学中如何找准切入点,通过教辅材料开展文化导入提出了更高的要求。

本学期我们备课组继续贯彻“学案导学”方法,利用各种途径搜集和教学内容相关的教辅材料,通过多媒体设备提供给学生学习。

例如:选修六第二模块“Fantansy Literature”讲到轰动全球的好莱坞电影《哈利波特》、《纳尼亚传奇》
和《指环王》。

这三部影视作品具有一个共性,那就是都改编自文学作品,体现了浓重的西方文化底蕴,而学生们绝大多数停留在直观的影像认识层面上,但同时对其背后的文化背景抱有极大的兴趣。

我们在集体备课中就以上思路达成共识,提前搜集了西方巫师文化、中世纪骑士文化的相关资料,并购买了英文原声电影光盘。

学生在课堂上观看与课文相关的电影内容,观后写了影评,极大地增加了学习的兴趣。

(四)在新教材的使用过程中遇到的问题:
一是教材编写好,结构合理,但由于内容丰富,却感到难以驾驭,一节课时有时无法完成新课标所规定的内容。

二是教材强调语言知识和运用能力并进,但在一定程度上造成学生基础知识掌握不扎实,语法知识难成体系,能力发展较为缓慢。

三、怎样处理学业水平考试和高考备考的关系
学业水平考试,目的在于保证普通高中学生毕业资格认定的客观性、公正性和严肃性,调控普通高中的教育教学行为,纠正高考考什么,学校教什么,学生学什么的应试教育倾向,督促学生构建完整的知识结构体系。

高考是选拔性考试,它注重的是选拔,是个体,而水平考试,是质量检测性考试,重视的是群体水平,重视的是考试的调控功能。

两种考试虽然有诸多不同,但同时又在高校选拔新生时有较强的互补性。

今后高校招生改革的趋势是:高端多元,中间稳定,低端放开。

这都需要在高考之外有值得信赖的客观的评价依据,而组织严密、成绩客观的水平考试成绩,正是最重要的依据之一。

因此,我们在实际教学工作中要正视两者的关系,树立正确的工作方向,最大程度地避免出现“高分低能”现象,这也会对高考备考起到非常积极的作用。

四、下一步的工作安排:
(一)备课组活动要制度化,决不形同虚设,真正做到从传统的以教为主的教学过程向师生互教互学转变,不断拓宽自己的知识面,提高驾驭现代教育技术的能力,提高教科研能力。

(二)进一步加强集体备课,做到资源共享,课后反思,个人加减。

在做到统一进度、统一教案、统一测试的同时,要因班而宜适当调整教学计划,突出学生的主体性和生生互动、师生互动的教学模式,让学生学有所获并兴致盎然。

(三)每单元至少一次单元测验和语法专项测验,单词短语默写每周至少两到三次,写作训练每单元一次。

要及时反馈和讲评作业及试卷批改情况,将形成性评价与终结性评价结合起来,对学生的课堂表现,课内外活动等都作为评价的范围,促进学生更好地进行自主学习、合作学习和探究学习。
