Mary: Good afternoon. You must be Mr. Li from the China Golden Dragon Car Company. 李厂长：是的，我是。

Mary: Welcome to London! I hope you had a pleasant flight. My name is Mary Davis –I'm personal assistant to Mr. Rose, the General Manager.

李厂长：您好！戴维斯小姐。谢谢您到机场接我。

Mary: It's a pleasure. Mr. Rose asked me to collect you, as he is busy at the office. But he is looking forward to meeting you.

李厂长：我也期待和他见面，我们通过好多次电话，就是还没见过面。

Mary: Let me help you with your suitcases.

李厂长：谢谢！我可以自己拿。

Mary: Here we are. I wasn’t sure how much luggage you would hav e, so I came in the company minibus.

李厂长：我不喜欢带太多行李，我总是轻装旅行。

Mary: Very wise! Hopefully, we'll soon be out of this heavy traffic and you will be able to see a bit of the countryside.

李厂长：车真是太多了！

Mary: Unfortunately it's rush hour at the moment. We'll just have to be patient. It should only take a few more minutes to get to the factory.

(10 minutes later)

Here we are. I can see Mr. Rose is there, waiting for you at the main door.

李厂长：哦，那位就是罗斯先生，我们终于见面了。

(1)Interpreter: Excuse me, but aren’t you Mr. Greene from London?

(2)Guest: Yes, I’m Andrew R. Greene, Managing-Director (总裁) of my company.

I’m from London.

(3)I: How do you do, Mr. Greene? I’m Li Hsing, an interpreter from the China

machinery Import and Export Corporation. May I introduce you to our director?

(4)Host: 欢迎你来到中国，格林先生。您好吗？

(5)G：How do you do? It’s very kind of you to come and meet me at the airport, sir.

(6)H: 不要客气。怎么样，一路上好吗？

(7)G：Pretty good, except a little bumping over Indian Ocean. It’s a fine day, isn’t it?

(8)H: 天气不错。刚才我看了机场的显示屏（display screen），此时进入北京空

港的航班相当多。
