《水浒传》中的鲁智深，他的“该出手时就出手”的英雄气概，他的粗中有细，嫉恶如仇，我行我素的性格，他的扶危济困、打抱不平的侠义壮举，使他成为人们心中的大英雄；他虽然粗鲁，但却粗中有细智慧，他虽杀人无数，但为人正直，他独特的性格和形象给人们留下

了难以磨灭的印象。作者对鲁智深性格特征的刻画，运用了多种描写手法，错位描写，对比描写，衬托描写，以及对故事矛盾冲突的描绘等，独特的语言描写对鲁智深的形象刻画的入木三分，使人读了如闻其声，如见其人。

天孤星鲁智深，原名鲁达，人称花和尚。《水浒传》中梁山一百单八将之一，位列十三，在梁山上为步军头领之首。

鲁达本在渭州小种经略相公手下当差，任经略府提辖。为救弱女子金翠莲，他三拳打死镇关西，被官府追捕。逃亡途中，经赵员外介绍，鲁达到五台山文殊院落发为僧，智真长老说偈赐名曰：“灵光一点，价值千金。佛法广大，赐名智深。”1（第四回P50）鲁智深在寺中难守佛门清规，大闹五台山，智真长老只得让他去投东京汴梁大相国寺，临别赠四句偈言：“遇林而起，遇山而富。遇水而兴，遇江而止。”（第五回P62）在去东京汴梁大相国寺途中，先在桃花村醉打小霸王周通，后与史进重逢火烧瓦罐寺杀死生铁佛。后鲁智深在相国寺看守菜园，收服众泼皮，倒拔垂杨柳，偶遇林冲，结为兄弟。林冲落难，刺配沧州，鲁智深一路暗中保护。在野猪林里，解差董超、薛霸欲害林冲，鲁智深及时出手，救了林冲一命，此后一直护送至沧州七十里外。鲁智深因而为高俅所迫，再次走上逃亡之路，后与杨志等一起打下青州二龙山宝珠寺，就此落草。

后来宋江等接受招安，鲁智深陪同宋江，重上五台山，参礼智真长老。师父说：“徒弟一去数年，杀人放火不易！”（第九十回P1090）临别再赠四句偈言:“逢夏而擒，遇腊而执。听潮而圆，见信而寂。”（第九十回P1091）

宋江征方腊时，大战乌龙岭。鲁智深追杀夏侯成，却迷路入深山；得一僧指点，从缘缠井中解脱，生擒方腊。宋江大喜，劝智深还俗为官，荫子封妻，光宗耀祖，鲁智深说：“洒家心已成灰，不愿为官，只图寻个净了去处，安身立命足矣。” （第一百十九回P1393）宋江又劝他住持名山，光显宗风，报答父母，鲁智深说：“都不要！要多也无用。只得个囫囵尸首，便是强了。”（第一百十九回P1393）宋江等凯旋，夜宿杭州六和寺。鲁智深听得钱塘江潮信，终于顿悟，于是沐浴更衣，圆寂涅盘，留颂曰：

“平生不修善果，只爱杀人放火。忽地顿开金绳，这里扯断玉锁。咦！钱塘江上潮信来，今日方知我是我。”（第一百十九回P1396）

鲁智深圆寂后，宋江又道几句法语：

“鲁智深，鲁智深，起身自绿林。两只放火眼，一片杀人心。忽地随潮归去，果然无处根寻。咄！解使满空飞白玉，能令大地作黄金。”（第一百十九回P1396）

后来朝廷因其有擒获方腊大功，加赠鲁智深为“义烈照暨禅师”。（第一百十九回P1402）

鲁智深的形象分析

行侠仗义，粗中有细，豪放不羁，重情重义等。金圣叹说：“写鲁达为人处，一片热血直喷出来，令人读之深愧虚生世上，不曾为人出力。”纪德君对鲁智深的评价是“杀人须见血，救人须救彻；才大心细，雄猛沉稳；率性而行，粗豪不羁。”他把“禅仗打开生死路，戒刀杀尽不平人”作为鲁智深一生的写照。

《水浒传》塑造了一大批血肉饱满而神采飞扬的古代侠义英雄人物形象,其中鲁智深是公认的最成功的一位。聂绀弩先生曾经认为,鲁智深的形象是“人性的极峰,也是对于人性的最高理想”

一．粗卤急躁蛮横无礼

鲁智深粗卤急躁，蛮横无礼的形象，不仅表现在他的行动上，也表现在其语言上。他和史进去喝酒，遇到史进以前的师父李忠，鲁智深便要拉着李忠一起去喝酒，李忠叫他们等一会儿，鲁智深便道：“谁耐烦等你？去便同去！”（第三回P37）然后却将看李忠卖膏药的人，一推一交，把众人赶散，使李忠被迫与他们喝酒。这里从语言和行为上都显出了他的卤莽性急的性格。强请别人喝酒，却不觉得自己蛮横无礼。又如“鲁达焦躁，便把碟儿盏儿都丢在楼板上。”“鲁达道：‘坐甚么！你去便去，等甚么！’”（第三回P40）等也从行动上和语言上表现了他的急躁的性格。他时常骂人为“腌脏泼才”“直娘贼”“鸟人”“鸟寺”等粗俗不堪的语言，更显其粗卤。还有更厉害的，他本在五台山出家当了和尚，可是却抢人酒喝，并在神佛像后屙屎屙尿，不但不守寺院的清规戒律，而且更显得自己没有修养，狂放不羁，粗俗不堪，再显其粗卤的性格。
