5. Counter-offer

确认收到你方1月20日来信,在信中你方应我要求报20件机器人。感谢你方及时回复。

经仔细审阅你方报价,我们感觉所报之价格实在太高,业务无法进行。

日前中国国内生产竞赛用机器人的厂家很多,品质、功能相似的机器人在国内的售价要比你们所报价格低80%-100%左右。我们非常清楚,你们在机器人生产方面有着多年的经验,所产机器人在品质与功能上都要稍优于中国国内产品。但价格方面的差异无论如何也不能大到100%。

为促成本次交易,我方还盘如下,以你方回复在3月1日前到达我方为有效:

20件灭火机器人A-1,足球机器人A-2价格每件上海到岸价300美元,或横滨FOB价250美元,其它条件依据你方上次报盘。

目前市场我可供我方选择的品种很多,而且各个国家新的生产厂家不断出现,因此,希望你们能够早日复信,接受我方所还盘之价格。

We acknowledge receipt of your letter dated Jan. 20th, in which you offered us 20 robot products at our request. Thank you for your timely reply.

On perusal of your offer, we find your prices too high to work on.

In China, many manufacturers are engaging in the production of robots for contests, products similar in quality and function are being sold in the local market at prices about 80% to 100% lower than yours. We are fully aware of your years of experience in this area, your robots are superior in both quality and function to those made in China. But the difference in price should, in no case, be as big as 100%.

To put the deal through, we counter offer as follows, subject to your reply reaching us before March 1st:

20 pieces of Fire-extinguishing Robots A-1, Soccer Robots A-2 at $300CIF Shanghai per piece, or $250FOB Yokohama, other terms as per your previous offer.

The present market offers us many choices, and new manufactures are emerging, as a result, we hope you give us an early reply to accept the counter-offered prices.

6. Accepting Counter Offers

非常高兴收到你方4月1来信及内附的订购20件机器人的订单。感谢对我公司产品的信任。

此复,我们想告知你方,你方还价脱离了市场行情,我方歉难接受。报盘中的价格是我方最优惠价格,只此一次。(此处意思上好像说不通,只是让大家练习使用)但鉴于双方长期的友好关系以及过去你们所给予的支持,我们此次破例接受你们的还价。

希望这次的通融(accommodation)能使你们为我们获得更多的订单。

销售确认书我方正在起草,一旦准备完毕,会邮寄你方。收到后请检查,并及时会签。

7. Declining Orders

非常高兴收到你方4月1来信及内附的订购20件机器人的订单。感谢对我公司产品的信任。

此复,我们不得不遗憾地通知你方,由于近期对我公司产品的需求突然激增,导致我库存急剧减少,你所需两种型号已无存货。加之我们承约太多,10月底前发货的产品已全部售罄。

我们想要告知你方的是(For your information), 我们新近开发出了两人种新产品,型号C-1、C-2,经过配置、组装后(configuration, setup) 完全可以适应竞赛需要,可以作为你们所需产品的近似替代品,而且在价格方面低10%左右。当然,这种方案要经过你方的批准。

另外,如果贵公司不特别强调发货期的话,我们会记住你方订单,一旦有新的供货,我们会尽速安装执行你方订单。

为使你方熟悉我公司经营的全部产品,现随信寄出产品目录一份供参考

。We are pleased to receive you letter of April 1st and the enclosed order for 20 robots. Thank you for the confidence you placed in our products.

In reply, we regret to inform you that owing to a surge of demand for our products lately, our stock appreciably diminished, and the 2 types you required are out of stock. In addition, products to be delivered by the end of Oct. have been sold out due to heavy commitments.

For your information, type C-1 and C-2, two products we newly developed, will well fit for the needs of contests after proper configuration and setup and can be used as close substitutes for the required types. And furthermore, they are priced about 10% lower. Surely, this arrangement is subject to your approval.

Besides, if delivery is not a priority for you, we will keep your order before and make arrangements to execute your order on fresh supply comes up.

To acquit you with the complete product lines we handle, we are attaching a catalog to this letter for your reference.

8. Confirming a transaction

我们非常高兴,经过最近一段时间的信件往来,我们终于达成了20件机器人产品的交易。

随信寄出有关这次交易的正本合同一式两份,审查无误后请及时会签,然后将其中一份返还我方,供我方存档。

不言而喻,在合同及时签署后,你们会立即开立以我方为受益人的信用证。为避免随后可能出现的信用证的修改,耽搁发货,请确保信用证中的条款要严格与销售合同中的相关一致。同时请告知我方你们详细的装船须知(装船指示shipping instruction),我们会在收到信用证后,立即准备货物,安装装运。
