学习英语的英语演讲稿篇4Reading is the easiest skill. It is also the most widely found English language skill amongst Chinese student, Writing is a more active skill than reading. However it is still a little easier than speaking, as there is plenty of time to choose the right words look in the dictionary for help, and make corrections. Listening is the third most important language skill to learn. It is far more difficult to listen and understand spoken English than to read English in a book or in a letter. Speaking English may be the most difficult of the four language skills. It is an active skill, and requires the student to put words together into sentences without much time to prepare, and with no time for correction, yet it is the most exciting skill to have, as it opens up wonderful channels of communication with people of others cultures and countries. But this is just what we lack.More often than not I found some of the students who get high marks in their exams showed an inability to communicate with people in English. And this enabled me to understand deeper what my first English teacher has always emphasized: listening and speaking keeping ahead; reading and writing following up. I believe this is the rule of learning a language because we learn a certain language to communicate. As weconquered the most difficult parts: listening and speaking, we would easily master the writing and reading skills.学习英语的英语演讲稿篇5Since the theme of this year’s competition was “globalization”, we have enjoyed various visions from contestants on thinking of what we young people should do to meet the challenges and the opportunities posed by globalization. But there’s one thing for sure: good English and communication skills are the gateway to the world arena. I hope some of man and woman in China who have conquered English to hold hands together to build up the bridge between China and the rest of the world with the world’s most widely used language!学习英语的英语演讲稿篇6Then how can we make it? I have seen lots of diligent students in the early morning reading aloud their English texts without paying any attention to their nearly unacceptable pronunciation. I feel sorry for those students because their hard work deserves a much better English level if they improve their method of learning.I found that my way of learning English that I formed from middle school still works today. By listening to tapes and imitating the speakers one can improve his pronunciation within a short time. By reciting classic essays one can enrich their language as well as enlarge their vocabulary. As a non-English major, I like to set aside a certain period of time for English learning everyday, usually an hour or at least half an hour. I utilize this precious time by listening to tapes and imitating their content and then reciting the short passages I like. To be frank, “Crazy English” has always been my favorite. This is definitely not intended to flatter. Instead of dividing my attention between too many materials, I’d rather concentrate on one particular resource at a time such as CE, not onlybecause of its abundant content and native English, but also because of the benefits it has brought to me through intensive reading, listening and reciting, I believe that studying English by using these intensive methods will help you to get twice the result with half the effort.学习英语的英语演讲稿篇7Three mirrors reflect the way I learn English After I came back from the “21st century-Ericsson cup”7th national English Speaking competition with the award of the “Most Promising Speaker”, people kept asking me the same question over and over again. “How did you learn English, especially as a Non-English major?” Actually I believe that a hundred people would have a hundred of ways to learn English well. However, I would like to share my personal experience of English learning with those who have the enthusiasm for improve their English. Since I have set up three mirrors in my prepared speech in hoping that they would guide our young generation on the way to globalization, I would like to maintain three mirrors here to reflect how I learned English. The first mirror, I assume, should reflect a steady foundation. This involves my first few years of English learning, which I consider as the key factor of all my achievements in the years to follow. At that time I entered the middle school attached to Xi’an Jiaoton University, I could only say my ABCs while others in my class could at least communicate in simple English. All the tales about the frightfulness of learning English then popped up in my mind and made me feel scared. Fortunately my first English teacher was very experienced in enlightening her students on English learning. She was a kind woman with a charming smile. But her homework assignments were not easy task: They required us to read after the tape for 20 times and recite the whole text. So it was quite natural that most of my classmates only recited the short essay within a short time and then went to play. But my fear of not being able to say a single word, made me sit down and immerse myself in what the teacher had asked me to do.学习英语的英语演讲稿篇8Before every English class we would have an on duty report to let the students say something according to what they had learned .My first presentation in class was to recite a dialogue. But to my great surprise, my teacher praised me for my pronunciation. I tittered because I had imitated the readers in the tape for at least 20 times until finally I couldn’t find any differences between our pronunciations. And I did not realize that this little prize given by my teacher began to influence my English learning magically.I believe the first three years of English learning guaranteed the possibility of my further achievements because by means of imitation I built a foundation of good pronunciation and by means of reciting I restored the basic element of English language. On the whole, I would like to show my sincere thanks to my first English teachers. Yu Zhiling, who is now still caring for my growth. The second mirror I would like to mention here reflects an effective way of English learning. I still stick to my point of view that different people have different techniques to learn English well. But there are some methods that seem to be obviously ineffective.Let’s first have a look at the four important skills for students to master: reading, writing, listening and speaking. I have placed them in order of difficulty.学习英语的英语演讲稿篇9As we all know the english language more and more important inour daily study and life。

七年级英语用英语讲中国故事演讲稿简易100-300字

Ladies and gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening! Today, I am going to share with you a beautiful Chinese story, which I believe will touch your hearts and leave you with unforgettable memories. The story I am going to tell you is about a young boy named Li Wei. Li Wei lived in a small village in China with his parents and younger sister. Although they were not very rich, they were a happy family and always helped each other. One day, when Li Wei was seven years old, his father fell ill and passed away. This was a great shock for Li Wei and his family, as they had lost their main source of income. Despite this, Li Wei's mother worked hard to support her children, and Li Wei did his best to help her.As Li Wei grew older, he became more and more interested in learning English. He thought that if he could speak English well, he would be able to find a good job and help his family out of poverty. So, every day after school, he would go to the library and study English by himself. However, life was not easy for Li Wei. His classmates often made fun of him because he was not good at English. But Li Wei did not let this discourage him. Instead, he worked even harder, and eventually, his efforts paid off. He was able to improve his English skills significantly, and even won an English speech contest at his school. With his improved English, Li Wei was able to get a job as a tour guide at a local tourist attraction. His income helped to improve his family's living conditions, and they were able to move to a better house. However, Li Wei did not stop there. He continued to study English and eventually passed the TOEFL exam with a high score. He was able to get a scholarship to study at a university in the United States. In conclusion, Li Wei's story is a beautiful example of how hard work and determination can help a person to achieve their dreams. Despite facing many challenges, Li Wei never gave up, and his efforts eventually paid off. Today we would like to introduce a few favorite books to you.My favorite book is (Italian: Cuore). This is a diary written by an Italian boy Enrico. The diary is about his life and study. It included various touching stories that happened around Enrico, the mottos taught by his parents, as well as the wonderful ten "monthly" stories told by his teacher during the class. Every word in the chapter describes the word "love". From patriotism to friendship, and to the love between parents andchild -- really touching. This novel taught me how to love, and how to learn from love.I really like this book very much. How about you? What is your favorite book?My favorite book is . Have you read it before?Oh, I haven’t read this book before. What is it about?Well, it is a story of a rich girl who maintained her noble character after the bankruptcy of her father. The story is happy ending. Can you tell us why you love this book so much?Sure. It is because the story taught us to be brave and to face the challenges and difficulties with courage. I am deeply impressed by the strength and perseverance of the little princess in the story. I have decided to learn from her from now on.Oh I see, the story sounds very good. I cannot wait to read this book as well.英语演讲稿5Someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. I don’t know who wrote these words, but I’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. We are allin the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.We are young. “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question. To answer it, first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youth is not a time of life, it’s a state of mind. It’s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. It’s the matter of the will. It’s the freshness of the deep spring of life.A poet said “To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. Several days ago, I had a chance to listen to a lecture. I learnt a lot there. I’d like to share it with all of you. Let’s show our right palms. We can see three lines that show how our love.career and life is. I have a short line of life. What about yours? I wondered whether we could see our future in this way. Well, let’s make a fist. Where is our future? Where is our love, career, and life? Tell me.Yeah, it is in our hands. It is held in ourselves. We all want the future to be better than the past. But the future can go better itself. Don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened. From the past, we’ve learnt that the lifeis tough, but we are tougher. We’ve learnt that we can’t choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. Failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way. Failure doesn’t mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder. As what I said at the beginning, “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. The past has gone. Nothing we do will change it. But the future is in frront of us. Believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us. And from today on, let’s be the owners of ourselves, and speak out “We are the world, we are the future.”英语演讲稿优秀范文5篇终于写完毕了,希望能够帮助到大家,谢谢!。

信心英语演讲稿

信心英语演讲稿

信心英语演讲稿Ladies and gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon/evening. It is an honor for me to stand here today to speak about the importance of confidence and how it can shape our lives. I believe that confidence is the key to success and happiness, and it is something that we all need to cultivate in ourselves.Confidence is not something that we are born with. It is a skill that we develop over time through experiences, triumphs, and failures. It is the belief in ourselves that we can accomplish anything we set our minds to. It is the courage to take risks, to push ourselves outside of our comfort zones, and to seize opportunities. But why is confidence so important? Firstly, confidence is crucial in our personal lives. It allows us to have faith in our abilities and make decisions based on our own judgment. It helps us to overcome obstacles and face challenges head-on. Confidence enables us to believe in ourselves, and when we believe in ourselves, we become unstoppable.Secondly, confidence plays a vital role in our professional lives. It is the cornerstone of leadership. When we exude confidence, others are more likely to trust us and follow our lead. Confidence allows us to present our ideas with conviction, to take on new responsibilities, and to embrace change. It helps us to stand out from the crowd and achieve our career goals. Moreover, confidence has a direct impact on our mental andemotional well-being. When we lack confidence, we may become anxious, doubtful, and insecure. On the other hand, when we are confident, we radiate positivity, resilience, and self-assuredness. We are more likely to bounce back from setbacks and maintain a positive outlook on life. Confidence is not only about how we appear to others, but also about how we feel about ourselves. So how can we develop and nurture our confidence? The first step is to identify our strengths and weaknesses. We should acknowledge our accomplishments and remind ourselves of past successes. Reflecting on our achievements can boost our self-esteem and motivate us to continue striving for greatness. The second step is to set realistic goals. By breaking down our big goals into smaller, more attainable ones, we can experience a sense of achievement along the way. This progress will give us the confidence to tackle bigger challenges and keep pushing ourselves forward.Thirdly, surrounding ourselves with positive and supportive people is essential. When we have a network of friends, mentors, and loved ones who believe in us, it becomes easier to believe in ourselves. Their encouragement and feedback can help build our confidence and provide a support system when we face setbacks. In addition, being prepared is key to building confidence. This means doing our research, practicing our skills, and being knowledgeable about the task at hand. When we are well-prepared, we feel more confident in our abilities and can approach any situation with ease.Lastly, it is crucial to embrace failure and learn from it. Failure is not a reflection of our abilities, but rather an opportunity for growth and improvement. When we overcome obstacles and learn from our mistakes, we become stronger and more resilient. Our confidence will continue to grow as we see that failure is not the end, but rather a stepping stone towards success. In conclusion, confidence is the foundation for personal and professional success. It allows us to believe in ourselves, take risks, and overcome challenges. Confidence is not something that can be bestowed upon us; it is something that we must cultivate within ourselves. By acknowledging our strengths, setting realistic goals, surrounding ourselves with positive people, being prepared, and embracing failure, we can develop and nurture our confidence. So let us all strive to be confident individuals who believe in ourselves and our abilities. With confidence, we can achieve anything we set our minds to.Thank you.Certainly! Here is more content on the importance of confidence:1. Building confidence through self-awareness:Self-awareness is a crucial aspect of building confidence. It involves understanding our strengths and weaknesses, recognizing our values and beliefs, and being aware of our emotions and reactions. By developing self-awareness, we can identify areas where we may lack confidence and work towards improving them. Self-reflection, journaling, and seeking feedback from others canaid in self-awareness and help us grow.2. Overcoming self-doubt and imposter syndrome:Self-doubt and imposter syndrome can be significant barriers to confidence. These thoughts and feelings of inadequacy can make us question our abilities and accomplishments. To overcome self-doubt, we need to challenge our negative self-talk and replace it with positive affirmations. Surrounding ourselves with supportive people who can remind us of our capabilities is also crucial. It's important to remember that everyone experiences self-doubt at times, and we are not alone in our struggles.3. The power of positive thinking:Positive thinking plays a vital role in building and maintaining confidence. When faced with challenges, it's important to focus on possibilities rather than dwelling on potential failures. Cultivating a positive mindset allows us to approach obstacles with optimism and resilience. By reframing negative thoughts into positive ones, we can boost our self-belief and approach situations with a can-do attitude.4. Embracing self-care and well-being:Taking care of our physical, mental, and emotional well-being is essential for building confidence. Engaging in regular exercise, eating a nutritious diet, and getting enough sleep can have a significant impact on our overall sense of self-worth and confidence. Additionally, practicing mindfulness, meditation, orother relaxation techniques can help reduce anxiety and promote a positive mindset. Taking time for ourselves and engaging in activities we enjoy can also contribute to increased self-confidence.5. Facing fear and taking calculated risks:Fear can be a significant obstacle to confidence. However, it is crucial to recognize that fear is a natural part of growth and development. By facing our fears and taking calculated risks, we expand our comfort zone and prove to ourselves that we are capable of handling challenges. Stepping outside of our comfort zone and embracing new experiences pushes us to grow and builds our confidence in our ability to adapt and succeed.6. Persistence and resilience:Persistence and resilience are key elements in developing and maintaining confidence. It is important to remember that setbacks and failure are inevitable in life. However, how we respond to these setbacks is what defines us. By adopting a growth mindset and viewing failures as learning opportunities, we can bounce back stronger and more confident. Learning from our mistakes, adjusting our strategies, and persevering through difficulties nurtures our confidence and prepares us for future challenges.7. Celebrating successes and acknowledging progress: Celebrating our successes, no matter how small, is crucial for building confidence. It's important to take the time to acknowledge our achievements and recognize the progress we have made. Bycelebrating our successes, we reinforce a positive self-image and demonstrate to ourselves that we are capable of accomplishing our goals. This positive reinforcement fuels our belief in ourselves and encourages us to continue pushing forward. In conclusion, confidence is an essential attribute that influences every aspect of our lives. By cultivating self-awareness, overcoming self-doubt, fostering positive thinking, embracing self-care, facing fear, and celebrating our successes, we can build and nurture our confidence. With confidence, we can navigate challenges with resilience, achieve our goals, and live a fulfilling and purposeful life. Let us all strive to prioritize our confidence and recognize its transformative power in shaping our lives.。

A balance between nature and nurtureIs it nature or is it nurture, heredity or society? In that great debate of our time, conservatives lean toward the former and liberals toward the latter.I believe both are asking the wrong question. I believe it’s nat ure and nurture, and this is why.I didn’t go to school until I was 12 or so. My parents thought that traveling in a house trailer was as enlightening as sitting in a classroom, so I escaped being taught some of the typical lessons of my generation: for instance, that this country was ―discovered‖ when the first white man set foot on it, that boys and girls were practically different species, that Europe deserved more textbook space than Africa and Asia combined.Instead, I grew up seeing with my own eyes, following my curiosity, falling in love with books, and growing up mostly around grown-ups — which, except for the books, was the way kids were raised for most of human history. Needless to say, school hit me like a ton of bricks. I wasn’t prepared for gen der obsessions, race and class complexities, or the new-to-me idea that war and male leadership were part of human nature. Soon, I gave in and became an adolescent hoping for approval and trying to conform. It was a stage that lasted through college.I owe the beginnings of re-birth to living in India for a couple of years where I fell in with a group of Gandhians, and then I came to the Kennedys, the civil rights movement and protests against the war in Vietnam. But most women, me included, stayed in our t raditional places until we began to gather, listen to each other’s stories and learn from shared experience. Soon, a national and international feminist movement was challenging the idea that what happened to men was political, but what happened to women was cultural — that the first could be changed but the second could not.I had the feeling of coming home, of awakening from an inauthentic life. It wasn’t as if I thought my self-authority was more important than external authority, but it wasn’t less impo rtant either. We are both communal and uniquely ourselves, not either-or.Since then, I’ve spent decades listening to kids before and after social roles hit. Faced with some inequality, the younger ones say, ―It’s not fair!‖ It’s as if there were some prim ordial expectation of empathy and cooperation that helps the species survive. But by the time kids are teenagers, social pressures have either nourished or starved this expectation. I suspect that their natural cry for fairness — or any whisper of it that survives — is the root from which social justice movements grow.So I no longer believe the conservative message that children are naturally selfish and destructive creatures who need civilizing by hierarchies or painful controls. On the contrary, I believe that hierarchy and painful controls create destructive people. And I no longer believe the liberal message that children are blank slates on which society can write anything. On the contrary, I believe that a unique core self is born into every human being — the result of millennia of environment and heredity combined in an unpredictable way that could never happen before or again. The truth is, we’ve been seduced into asking the wrong question by those who hope that the social order they want is inborn, or those who hope they can write the one they want on our uniquely long human childhoods. But the real answer is a balance between nature and nurture. What would happen if we listened to children as much as we talked to them? Or what would happen if even one generation were raised with respect and without violence?I believe we have no idea what might be possible on this ―Space Ship Earth.‖Gloria Steinem is a journalist and social activist in the feminist, peace and civil rights movements. A fellowship to India in the late 1950s inspired her to fight for the rights of women and the poor. Steinem founded Ms. Magazine in 1972, and is the author of four books.Independently produced for NPR by Jay Allison and Dan Gediman with John Gregory and Viki Merrick. Edited by Ellen Silva. Photo by Nubar Alexanian.A doubting, questioning mindAt the age of 16, many of my friends have already chosen a religion to follow (usually that of their parents), and are bound to it by many ties. I am still ―free-lancing‖ in religi on, searching for beliefs to guide me when I am an adult. I fear I shall always be searching, never attaining ultimate satisfaction, for I possess that blessing and curse – a doubting, questioning mind.At present, my doubting spirit has found comfort in certain ideas, gleaned from books and experience, to from a personal philosophy. I find that this philosophy, a code consisting of a few phrases, supplements, but does not replace, religion. The one rule that could serve anyone in almost any situation is, ―To see what must be done and not to do it, is a crime.‖ Urged on by this, I volunteer for distasteful tasks or pick up scrap paper from the floor. I am no longer able to ignore duty without feeling guilty. This is ―The still, small voice,‖ to be sure, but sharpened by my own discernment of duty.―The difficult we do at once, the impossible takes a little longer.‖ This is the motto of a potential scientist, already struggling to unravel the mysteries of life. It rings with the optimism youth needs in order to stand up against trouble or failure.Jonathan Edwards, a Puritan minister, resolved never to do anything out of revenge. I am a modern, a member of a church far removed from Puritanism, yet I have accepted this resolution. Since revenge and retaliation seem to have been accepted by nations today, I sometimes have difficulty reconciling my moral convictions with the tangled world being handed down to us by the adults. Apparently what I must do to make life more endurable, is to follow my principles, with the hope that enough of this feeling will rub off on my associates to being a chain reaction. To a thinking person, such resolutions are very valuable; nevertheless, they often leave a vacuum in the soul. Churches are trying to fill this vacuum, each by its own method. During this year, I have visited churches ranging from orthodoxy to extreme liberalism. In my search for a personal faith, I consider it my duty to expose myself to all forms of religion. Each church has left something within me – either a new concept of God and man, or an understanding and respect for those of other beliefs. I have found such experiences with other religions the best means for freeing myself from prejudices.Through my visits, the reasoning of fundamentalists has become clearer to me, but I am still unable to accept it. I have a simple faith in the Deity and a hope that my attempts to live a decent life are pleasing to Him. If I were to discover that there is no afterlife, my motive for moral living would not be destroyed. I have enough of the philosopher in me to love righteousness for its own sake. This is my youthful philosophy, a simple, liberal, and optimistic feeling, though I fear I shall lose some of it as I become more adult. Already, the though that the traditional thinkers might be right, after all, and I wrong, has made me waver. Still, these are my beliefs at sixteen. If I am mistake, I am too young to realize my error. Sometimes, in a moment of mental despair, I think of the words,―God loves an honest doubter,‖ and am comforted. When Elizabeth Deutsch Earle was 16, she won a This I Believe essay contest in the Cleveland Press newspaper. Her prize was a trip to New York City to record her essay for broadcast on the original series. Today, Earle is a professor of plant breeding at Cornell University.A duty to healGrowing up in the grinding poverty of colonial Africa, America was my shining hope. Martin Luther King’s non-violent political struggle made freedom and equality sound like achievable goals. America’s ideals filled my head. Someday, I promised myself, I would walk on America’s streets. But, as soon as I set foot in America’s hospitals, though, reality — and racism — quickly intruded on the ideals. My color and accent set me apart. But in a hospital I am neither black nor white. I’m a doctor. I believe every patient that I touch deserves the same care and concern from me.In 1999, I was on call when a 19-year-old patient was brought into the hospital. He was coughing up blood after a car accident. He was a white supremacist, an American Nazi with a swastika tattooed on his chest. The nurses told me he wouldn’t let me touch him. When I came close to him, he spat on me. In that moment, I wanted no part of him either, but no other physician would take him on. I realized I had to minister to him as best as I could.I talked to him, but he refused to look at me or acknowledge me. He would only speak through the white nurses. Only they could check his body for injury. Only they could touch his tattooed chest. As it turned out, he was not badly hurt. We parted strangers.I still wonder: Was there more I could have done to make our encounter different or better? Could I have approached him differently? Could I have tried harder to win his trust?I can only guess his thoughts about me, or the beliefs he lived by. His racism, I think, had little to do with me, personally. And, I want to think it had little to do with America, with the faith of Martin Luther King and the other great men whose words I heard back in Africa, and who made me believe in this nation’s ideals of equality and freedom. My hands — my black hands — have saved many lives. I believe in my duty to heal. I believe all patients, all human beings, are equal, and that I must try to care for everyone, even those who would rather die than consider me their equal. Before coming to the United States in 1971, Pius Kamau studied medicine in his native Kenya as well as Spain and England. The philosophers have been debating for years about whether man is primarily good or primarily evil, whether he is primarily altruistic or selfish, cooperative or combative, gregarious or self-centered, whether he enjoys free will or whether everything is predetermined. As far back as the Socratic dialogues in Plato, and even before that, man has been baffled about himself. He knows he is capable of great and noble deeds, but then he is oppressed by the evidence of great wrongdoing. And so he wonders. I don’t presume to be able to resolve the contradictions. In fact, I don’t think we have to. It seems to me that the debate over good and evil in man, over free will and determinism, and over all the other contradictions—it seems to me that this debate is a futile one. For man is a creature of dualism. He is both good and evil, both altruistic and selfish. He enjoys free will to the extent that he can make decisions in lif e, but he can’t change his chemistry or his relatives or his physical endowments—all of which were determined for him at birth. And rather than speculate over which side of him is dominant, he might do well to consider what the contradictions and circumstances are that tend to bring out the good or evil, that enable him to be a nobler and responsible member of the human race. And so far as free will and determinism are concerned, something I heard in India on a recent visit might be worth passing along. Free will and determinism, I was told, are like a game of cards. The hand that is dealt you represents determinism. The way you play your hand represent free will. Now where does all this leave us? It seems to me that we ought to attempt to bring about and safeguard those conditions that tend to develop the best in man. We know, for example, that the existence of fear and man’s inability to cope with fear bring about the worst in him. We know that what is true of man on a small scale can be true of society on a large scale. And today the conditions of fear in the world are, I’m afraid, affecting men everywhere. More than twenty-three hundred years ago, the Greek world, which had attained tremendous heights of creative intelligence and achievement, disintegrated under the pressure of fear. Today, too, if we read the signs correctly, there is fear everywhere. There is fear that the human race has exhausted its margin for error and that we are sliding into another great conflict that will cancel out thousands of y ears of human progress. And people are fearful because they don’t want to lose the things that are more important than peace itself—moral, democratic, and spiritual values. The problem confronting us today is far more serious than the destiny of any political system or even of any nation. The problem is the destiny of man: first, whether we can make this planet safe for man; second, whether we can make it fit for man. This I believe—that man today has all the resources to shatter his fears and go on to the greatest golden age in history, an age which will provide the conditions for human growth and for the development of the good that resides within man, whether in his individual or his collective being. And he has only to mobilize his rational intelligence and his conscience to put these resources to work.Norman Cousins was editor of The Saturday Review for 35 years. A noted author, he detailed his fight against two life-threatening diseases in Anatomy of An Illness and The Healing Heart. In addition to his literary career, he was an ardent critic of the nuclear arms race and the Vietnam War.A goal of service to humankindI believe I have a personal responsibility to make a positive impact on society. I’ve tried to accomplish this goal by choosing a life of public service. I am a physician and a scientist confronting the challenge of infectious diseases. I consider my job a gift. It allows me to try and help alleviate the suffering of humankind.I have three guiding principles that anchor my life, and I think about them every day.First, I have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Knowledge goes hand-in-hand with truth —something I learned with a bit of tough love from my Jesuit education first at Regis High School in New York City and then at Holy Cross College in Worcester, Mass. I consider myself a perpetual student. You seek and learn every day: from an experiment in the lab, from reading a scientific journal, from taking care of a patient. Because of this, I rarely get bored.Second, I believe in striving for excellence. I sweat the big and the small stuff! I do not apologize for this. One of the by-products of being a perfectionist and constantly trying to improve myself are sobering feelings of low-grade anxiety and a nagging sense of inadequacy. But this is not anxiety without a purpose. No, this anxiety keeps me humble. It creates a healthy tension that serves as the catalyst that drives me to fulfill my limited potential. This has made me a better physician and scientist. Without this tension, I woul dn’t be as focused.I have accepted that I will never know or understand as much as I want. This is what keeps the quest for knowledge exciting! And it is one of the reasons I would do my job even if I did not get paid to come to work every day.Third, I believe that as a physician my goal is to serve humankind.I have spent all of my professional life in public service. Most of it involved in research, care of patients, and public health policy concerning the HIV-AIDS epidemic. When I chose to concentrate on AIDS in the 1980s, many of my colleagues thought I was misguided to be focusing all of my attention on what was then considered ―just a gay man’s disease.‖ But I felt that this was my destiny and was perfectly matched to my training. I knew deep down that this was going to become a public health catastrophe. I am committed to confronting the enormity of this global public health catastrophe and its potential for even greater devastation.Failure to contain it cannot be an option. I believe that to be even marginally successful in working to contain this terrible disease, I must be guided by these principles. I must continually thirst for knowledge, accept nothing short of excellence and know that the good of the global society is more important and larger than I am.Dr. Anthony Fauci is the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. I was raised to be a good Baptist and to be a patriotic American. I was raised to believe Catholics were idol-worshippers, liberals were communists and that black and white never mixed. God filled the background, ready to condemn me into Hell. God saw everything bad about me, knew every wayward thought. I was born with original sin — I had no chance. At the same time, being a white American provided me a sense of privilege, of being one of the ―better‖ people. As I grew older, I began to struggle with my sexuality. Every day I battled against demons driving me to impurity. I resisted and then I would succumb to unholy thought. I came to believe that I was an abomination, a thing hated by God. In search of a wife, I tried a dating service. Defeated, I waited for someone to take pity and love me. The idea of faking who I was to satisfy others turned my stomach. I came to believe that if I punished myself enough that God would show mercy and cure me of my wrongness.I drove myself deep into depression. I remember my Bible group talking about how they kicked someone out for refusing to stop being gay. My blood chilled and my heart hiccupped. I remember my family asking me what was wrong with me. Why wasn’t I dating? My sense of being less than fully human festered. I stopped going to church. I gave up on ever being loved. By age 35, I had no more than a few hugs as the lifetime sum of my physical intimacy. My skin cried in deprivation. I had no hope except that one day things might improve if I endured. And then they did.I started to change the basic stories of my life: that I’m bad, alienated from God, a freak of nature. I started to love myself and to believe the Divine did so as well. As that belief strengthened through the repetition of story, I began to love others and I was loved back. The racism I grew up with faded. The more I loved myself, the more beauty I saw in everyone else. The more I healed, the more I viewed the Bible and all of our great myths as stories told by others, and I looked more and more to my heart to find the right one for me.In six months, I joined with my life partner of five years and counting, became an Episcopalian, and replanted my political beliefs. And this I believe: the right story is the one that helps me to love myself the most, to create the most, to love others and to support them in their creations. For it is for those awesome experiences that I believe we are here. So I’m gay. And now, after decades of struggle, I tell a good story about it.Greg Chapman lives a few miles from the Houston hospital where he was born. Photo by Nubar Alexanian.A morning prayer in a little churchOnce, years ago, I got into a dogfight. I was wheeling a baby carriage, my pet cocker spaniel trotting beside me. Without warning, three dogs—an Afghan, a St. Bernard and a Dalmatian—pounced on the cocker and started tearing him to pieces. I shrieked for help. Two men in a car stopped, looked, and drove on.When I saw that I was so infuriated that I waded in and stopped the fight myself. My theatrical training never stood me in better stead. My shouts were so authoritative, my gestures so arresting, I commanded the situation like a lion-tamer and the dogs finally slunk away.Looking back, I think I acted less in anger than from a realization that I was on my own, that if anybody was going to help me at that moment, it had to be myself.Life seems to be a series of crises that have to be faced. In summoning strength to face them, though, I once fooled myself into an exaggerated regard of my own importance. I felt very independent. I was only distantly aware of other people. I worked hard and was ―successful.‖ In the theater, I was brought up in the tradition of service. The audience pays its money and you are expected to give your best performance—both on and off the stage. So I served on committees, and made speeches, and backed causes. But somehow the meaning of things escaped me.When my daughter died of polio, everybody stretched out a hand to help me, but at first I couldn’t seem to bear the touch of anything, even the love of friends; no support seemed strong enough. While Mary was still sick, I used to go early in the morning to a little church near the hospital to pray. There the working people came quietly to worship. I had been careless with my religion. I had rather cut God out of my life, and I didn’t have the nerve at the time to ask Him to make my daughter well—I only asked Him to help me understand, to let me come in and reach Him. I prayed there every morning and I kept looking for a revelation, but nothing happened. And then, much later, I discovered that it had happened, right there in the church. I could recall, vividly, one by one, the people I had seen there—the solemn laborers with tired looks, the old women with gnarled hands. Life had knocked them around, but for a brief moment they were being refreshed by an ennobling experience. It seemed as they prayed their worn faces lighted up and they became the very vessels of God. Here was my revelation. Suddenly I realized I was one of them. In my need I gained strength from the knowledge that they too had needs, and I felt an interdependence with them. I experienced a flood of compassion for people. I was learning the meaning of ―Love thy neighbor….‖Truths as old and simple as this began to light up for me like the faces of the men and women in the little church. When I read the Bible now, as I do frequently, I take the teachings of men like Jesus and David and St. Paul as the helpful advice of trusted friends about how to live. They understand that life is full of complications and often heavy blows and they are showing me the wisest way through it. I must help myself, yes, but I am not such a self-contained unit that I can live aloof, unto myself. This was the meaning that had been missing before: the realization that I was a living part of God’s world of people.Known as the First Lady of American Theater, Helen Hayes was a star of Broadway, movies and television. She received three Tony Awards in her 60 years on stage. Her movies ranged from The Sin of Madelon Claudet (1931) to Airport (1970), both of which garnered her Academy Awards. (Photo courtesy of The Helen Hayes Awards)A public man must live in the presentI believe in a moral code based on the Ten Commandments found in the 20th Chapter of Exodus, and in the 5th, 6th and 7th Chapters of the Gospel according to St. Matthew, which is the Sermon on the Mount.I believe a man ought to live by those precepts, which, if followed, will enable a man to do right.I don’t know whether I have or not, but I have tried.I believe that the fundamental basis for a happy life with family and friends is to treat others as you would like to be treated, speak truthfully, act honorably, and keep commitments to the letter. In public life I have always believed that right will prevail. It has been my policy to obtain the facts – all the facts possible – then to make the decision in the public interest and to carry it out.If the facts justify the decision at the time it is made, it will always be right. A public man should not worry constantly about the verdict of history or what future generations will say about him. He must live in the present; make his decisions for the right on the facts as he sees them and history will take care of itself.I believe a public man must know the history and background of his state and his nation to enable him to come more nearly to a proper decision in the public interest. In my opinion, a man in public life must think always of the public welfare. He must be careful not to mix his private and personal interests with his public actions. The ethics of a public man must be unimpeachable. He must learn to reject unwise or imprudent requests from friends and associates without losing their friendship or loyalty.I believe that our Bill of Rights must be implemented in fact; that it is the duty of every Government – state, local or Federal – to preserve the rights of the individual.I believe that a civil rights program, as we must practice it today, involves not so much the protection of the people against the Government, but the protection of the people by the Government. And for this reason we must make the Federal Government a friendly, vigilant defender of the rights and equalities of all Americans; and that every man should be free to live his life as he wishes. He should be limited only by his responsibility to his fellow man.I believe that we should remove the last barriers which stand between millions of our people and their birthright. There can be no justifiable reason for discrimination because of ancestry, or religion, or race, or color.I believe that to inspire the people of the world whose freedom is in jeopardy, and to restore hope to those who have already lost their civil liberties, we must correct the remaining imperfections in our own democracy. We know the way – we only need the will.Harry Truman was the 33rd President of the United States, serving from 1945 to 1953. Born and raised in Missouri, Truman was a farmer, businessman, World War I veteran and U. S. senator. As President, his order to drop atomic bombs on Japan helped end World War II.A shared moment of trustOne night recently I was driving down a two lane highway at about 60 miles an hour.A car approached from the opposite direction at about the same speed. As we passed each other, I caught the other driver’s eye for on ly a second.I wondered whether he might be thinking, as I was, how dependent we were on each other at that moment. I was relying on him not to fall asleep, not to be distracted by a cell phone conversation, not to cross over into my lane and bring my life suddenly to an end. And though we were strangers to each other, he relied upon me in just the same way.Multiplied a million times over, I believe that is the way the world works. At some level we all depend upon one another to act in a way that avoids mutual destruction. Sometimes that dependence requires us simply to refrain from doing something —like crossing over the double yellow line. And sometimes it requires us to act cooperatively — as in the case of profound threats to our health or safety. One familiar example of a serious problem that could not have been solved — or could not have been solved as promptly — without worldwide cooperation is the SARS epidemic. In 2003, SARS claimed 700 lives and threatened to spread around the world. The virus had to be quickly identified and controlled. That was too big an undertaking for any one country, but scientists from five nations were able —working together — to identify the virus in record time. Doctors around the world then brought the outbreak quickly under control.Another area in which international cooperation is essential is terrorism. In the continuing struggle against this lethal threat, we cannot prevail without cooperation among the law enforcement agencies. intelligence services, and sometimes the military establishments of countries around the world. The daily news from Iraq and Afghanistan underscores just how much even America, the super power, needs such help.Americans are a people who value their freedom to do what they want to do, when and how they want to do it. But we cannot escape the reality that in ways large and small, we live in an interdependent world. Only the unwise would say that an individual or a nation can go it alone.Warren Christopher was U.S. Secretary of State from 1993 to 1997. Good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone. It is a great pleasure tostand before you today to share some thoughts on an issue that I believe is of great importance not only to the academic community but to society as a whole. Today, I would like to talk about the role of women inhigher education, focusing on the achievements of female professors and the challenges they continue to face.Title: Embracing Diversity: The Essential Role of Women Professors in Higher EducationIntroduction:In the past few decades, there has been a significant shift in the landscape of higher education, particularly with regard to gender equality. Women have made remarkable strides in breaking through the glass ceiling and establishing themselves as formidable leaders in various fields. However, despite these advancements, the representation of women in academic positions, particularly at the professor level, remains unequal. In this speech, I will discuss the contributions of female professors, the challenges they encounter, and the importance of fostering an inclusive environment in higher education.I. Contributions of Female ProfessorsA. Intellectual Contributions:Female professors have made substantial contributions to the advancement of knowledge and research in their respective fields. They havepublished groundbreaking studies, authored influential books, and conducted innovative research that has shaped the academic discourse. Their perspectives and insights have enriched the intellectual landscape, offering fresh viewpoints and diverse approaches to problem-solving.B. Mentorship and Leadership:Female professors have been instrumental in nurturing the nextgeneration of scholars. As mentors, they inspire and guide students, fostering a supportive environment that encourages academic excellence and personal growth. Their leadership roles in academic institutionshave also paved the way for gender equality, breaking stereotypes and promoting inclusivity.C. Breaking Barriers:The presence of female professors in traditionally male-dominated fields has challenged gender norms and stereotypes. Their achievements serve as role models for aspiring women, demonstrating that women can excel in any field they choose to pursue. This has had a ripple effect, encouraging more women to pursue higher education and careers in STEM disciplines.II. Challenges Faced by Female ProfessorsA. Gender Bias:Despite the advancements made, gender bias remains a significant challenge for female professors. They often encounter stereotypes and preconceived notions about their capabilities and qualifications. This bias can manifest in various forms, such as unequal pay, limited career advancement opportunities, and diminished recognition of their achievements.B. Work-Life Balance:The academic world is known for its demanding nature, requiring long hours and extensive dedication. For female professors, the struggle to balance their professional responsibilities with family and personallife can be overwhelming. This juggling act often leads to burnout and can hinder their career progression.C. Maternal Guilt:Female professors who choose to start a family often face additional challenges. They may experience maternal guilt, feeling torn between their desire to excel in their careers and their responsibilities as mothers. This guilt can impact their self-esteem and confidence, potentially hindering their professional growth.III. Importance of Fostering an Inclusive EnvironmentA. Promoting Gender Equality:An inclusive environment is crucial for promoting gender equality in higher education. By creating opportunities for women to thrive, institutions can break down barriers and ensure that all individuals, regardless of gender, have equal access to academic and professional success.B. Enhancing Academic Excellence:An inclusive environment encourages diverse perspectives and ideas, leading to enhanced academic excellence. When women professors are given equal opportunities to contribute, their unique insights and experiences can enrich the learning experience for all students.C. Inspiring Future Generations:By fostering an inclusive environment, we can inspire future generations of women to pursue higher education and excel in their chosen fields. The presence of successful female role models can empower women to overcome challenges and pursue their dreams. Conclusion:In conclusion, the role of women professors in higher education cannotbe overstated. Their contributions have enriched the academic landscape, challenged stereotypes, and inspired countless individuals. However, it is crucial to recognize the challenges they continue to face and work towards fostering an inclusive environment that promotes gender equality. By doing so, we can create a future where women professors arecelebrated for their achievements and given the opportunities they deserve.Thank you for your attention, and I welcome any questions you may have.。

关于未来的初二英语演讲稿1My Future Will Be BrightI have a belief deep down within my heart that my future will be bright. My future will be bright with all my loving families. Whether time find us far apart or it keeps us close together, they are always standing by my side.My future will be bright with all the close and caring friends of mine. Whenever I am sad and down, I know they would hold my hands and warm my heart. My future will be bright with the belief in brighter days. Life doesn’t always play by rules, and we must face the fact that there are days that things could be better. But I have a belief which see me through the dark times.I have a belief that joys once lost can always be found.I have a belief that there is rainbows after every storm.I have a belief that in the long run, my efforts will give back as much as I give, without a doubt. This belief gives me hope that is as certain as sun when the world seems to be wearing a frown. It is a steady and joyful light in my life.It is a blessing I continue to count on through the years. It is a light that will shine in me until the end of time.It is a treasure a million times more valuable than the onessome people spend a lifetime trying to find. Now, m dear friends, carry the sun inside you, and reach out for the dreams that guide you where you want to go. You have what it takes to make your path of succe. You have the courage and strength to see things through. You have the smile that will guide you to the beautiful tomorrows. So, with so much to be thank for, I believe that my future will be bright, and I believe that our future will be bright!关于未来的初二英语演讲稿2someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. i don’t know who wrote these words, but i’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. we are all in the position of the farmers. if we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. if we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.we are young. “how to spend the youth?” it is a meaningful question. to answer it, first i h ave to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” youth is not a time of life, it’s a state of mind. it’s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. it’s the matter of the will. it’s the freshneof the deep spring of life.a poet said “to s ee a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. several days ago, i had a chance to listen to a lecture. i learnt a lot there. i’d like to share it with all of you. let’s show o ur right palms. we can see three lines that show how our love.career and life is. i have a short line of life.what about yours? i wondered whether we could see our future in this way. well, let’s make a fist. where is our future?where is our love, career, and life? tell me.yeah, it is in ourhands. it is held in ourselves.we all want the future to be better than the past. but the future can go better itself. don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened. from the past, we’ve learnt that the lif e is tough, but we are tougher. we’ve learnt that we can’t choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way. failure doesn’t mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder.as what i said at the beginning, “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. the past has gone. nothing we do will change it. but the future is in front of us. believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us. and from today on, let’s be the owners of ourselves, and speak out “we are the world, we are the future.”关于未来的初二英语演讲稿3I have a dream that one day every vally shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.Wow, what a dream it has been for Martin Luther King. But the changing world seems telling me that people gradually get their dreams lost somehow in the process of growing up, and sometimes I personally find myself saying goodbye unconsciously to those distant childhood dreams. However, we meed dreams. They nourish our spirit; they represent possibility even when we are dragged down by reality. They keep us going. Most successful people are dreamers as well as ordinary people who are not afraid to think big and dare to begreat. When we were little kids, we all dreamed of doing something big and splashy, something significant. Now what we need to do is to maintain them, refresh them and turn them into reality. However, the toughest part is that we often have no ideas how to translate these dreams into actions. Well, just start with concrete ob jectives and stick to it. Don’t let the nameless fear confuse the eye and confound our strong belief of future. Through our talents, through our wits, through our endurance and through our creativity, we will make it.Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams. Whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today.关于未来的初二英语演讲稿4Honorable Judges, fellow students:Good afternoon!Recently, there is a heated debate in our society. The college students are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education at extraordinary places. But will we be able to face the challenge and support ourselves against all odds? Will we be able to better the lives of others? Will we be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of our country? The cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, which would cringe at the slightest discomfort. But the cynics are wrong. The college students I see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. We help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money. The cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and weneglect the need for character cultivation. But again, the cynics are wrong. We care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth. Last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer. As college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point in our lives. We all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or faith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even the future of our country. I believe in all my fellow classmates. Though we are still inexperienced and even a little bit childish. I believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challenge and take on our responsibilities. We are preparing to assume new responsibilities and tasks, and to use the education we have received to make our world a better place. I believe in our future.关于未来的初二英语演讲稿5How to say futureman’s life is a process of growing up, actually i’m standing here is a growth. if a person’s life must constituted by various choices, then i grow up along with these choices. once i hope i can study in a college in future, however that’s passed, as you know i come here, now i wonder what the future holds for (= what will happen to) me.when i come to this school, i told to myself: this my near future, all starts here. following i will learn to become a man, a integrated man, who has a fine body, can take on important task, has independent thought, an open mind, intensive thought, has the ability to judge right and wrong, has a perfect job. once my teacher said :” you are not sewing, you are stylist; never forget which you should lay out to people is your though t, not craft.” i will put my personality with my interest and ability into my study, during these process i will combine learning with doing. if i can achieve this “future”, i think that i really grow up. and i deeply believe kindred, good-fellowship and love will perfection and happy in the future.。

英语演讲稿5分钟(五篇)篇一:英语演讲稿5分钟Good afternoon ladies and Gentlemen,I believe that humanism is about kindness and caring for people in need.I believe the role of humanism in today’s technological world is to guide technological development to respond to human need in a benevolent way.In 2010 I was in Yushu during that terrible earthquake. I experienced the full horror of buildings falling and people being trapped. I witnessed the quick response from modern technology when people inside yushu called people outside for help with their mobile phones. Very soon the whole world was responding whole heartedly. After only 5 hours, there was another sound- this time it was helicopters bringing doctors, medical supplies, and the facilities to evacuate the wounded to hospital.Recent advances in earthquake detection and rescue technology have been developed in response to the need to save lives quickly.Consider advances in green food technology, guided by theneed for clean natural food and to protect the environment;Advances in water conservation and purification, guided by the need for clean drinking water and for crops and livestock;advances in delivering education to everyone, especially the use of video and the internet for distance learning;advances in medicine, especially affordable medicine for AIDS sufferers in Africa;and advances in building technology guided by the need to keep people safe and warm. All these are the result of responding to human needs with kindness and caring and guiding technology for the benefit of mankind. When I think about the world of advanced technology today, I think of my home, the remote and harsh environment of the Tibetan Plateau, and farmers living in tents with solar energy that they use to power their lights, TV, puters and to improve their lifestyle. I think of farmers talking on their mobile phones, discussing the weather patterns, the cost of food, munity news and events. They even talk about Steve Jobs. The train to Lhasa, itself a wonderful engineering feat, brings modern medicine and education to these remote areas. The munities are nowinterlinked and connected, one of the most basic human needs.Human beings have a need to be connected, to be safe to be cared for in times of trouble and hardship. The development of technology must be guided by these needs. If this is not so, then the development of technology is in the hands of mean and, greedy people. The focus of technological development would be wars and weapons, fraud the misuse of information, and the exploitation of people, such as cheap labor. It can only be humanism which provides the guidance we all need for a better world. And it is you, who have the responsibility to use the technology wisely, to spread the kindness and caring.篇二:英语演讲稿5分钟Honourable judges, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen, good morning. Humanism, by which I mean the will to give people love and care, is the most joyful and meaningful part of being human. From the old days to technologically advanced world, humanism is always telling ordinary but moving stories.Let me tell you what touched my heart this winter break, onemorning when I visited my grandmother in the hospital. Walking down the cold, tiled corridor, I noticed an old man, with his granddaughter – maybe 10 years old – sitting by his side. I was lured there by her voice – light and playful – and after I'd seen them together, I could barely take my eyes away. Delicately draped over this old man's beeping cardiograph was a silk sheet with an ancient, cheerful Chinese poem beautifully written on it –and now, this little girl's entrancing voice lovingly brought these words to life. I stood there transfixed; no longer did I see the family members swimming in nervousness; no longer did I feel the hospital's tense cloud of anxiety; no longer did I hear mortality's soft whispers in the corridors; instead, I saw a startling marriage of juxtaposing images and emotions. I was beholding, I realized, a bewilderingly simple yet overwhelmingly powerful metaphor –one that shows that no matter how cold an environment technology can conjure, humanity is always there. In the forefront or the fringes, it is always there. For here it was, illustrated vividly before me – the coldness of technology embodied in the hospital walls, while the soulful words of the little girl danced around them in defiance. This experience opened my eyes in many ways – ever since,I have been acutely aware of, and wonderfully conscious of, the warm heart of humanity surrounding us, whether we choose to recognise it or not. As one psychological theory states, “We see what we want to see". After my experience that day at the hospital, I have chosen to recognize, day by day, the warmth of humanism everywhere I can.I refuse to accept the negative, narrow-minded, caustic opinions that technology is eroding our souls. I say to them, let the machines continue their monotonous cacophony, for just one smiling face is infinitely more valuable than a thousand churners of binary code; let technological progress develop and develop until it poetically devours itself, because one heartfelt "hello" to a fellow traveller can speak libraries of warmth; let the powermongers and oil barons puff their last cigars, because the love and care, and warmth of humanism will always shine like beacon, reaching out to each and every heart on this small planet.Although I'll probably never see that little girl or her grandfather again, I'll never forget seeing them there in the hospital that day – and if I did, I'd thank them for showing me how vivid yet subtle, how firm yet fragile, and how invisible yet omnipresent the human spirit is in our world today. Thank you.篇三:英语演讲稿5分钟For this test, first of all, we should be confident, should take firm and strong pace, a sunny smile, showing vigorous and vigorous spirit. Only in this way can we have enough courage to cross a road blockade on learning; only in this way, we have energy down learning on a powerful fortress; only in this way can we climb up the fall, to meet the learning on the challenge again and again.Secondly, it should maintain a good mood, a lot of students on the examination with a psychological tension and fear, in fact, the exam is just a special form of homework, its purpose is to help us address gaps and adjust the strategy, in order to better carry out the next step of learning. Therefore, we should take in a good mood again. Of course, but also to use the scientific learning method, to improve the efficiency and quality of learning, so usually learn something through the review into their own real knowledge. We all know: the examination to examine not only the learning of knowledge and ability, but also test the psychological quality and coping skills. The difficulties we are nervous, impetuous is the enemy of success. When we face down thepapers, everyone should be a military family, not only have the strategic operation style, jueshengqianli also, there must be a tactical meticulous spirit. Very careful in reckoning, here, I hope the students can be used to test the optimal strategies and techniques, and make a satisfactory answer.Life can have a few back stroke? Thousands of pairs of eyes looking at us, in order to hope, in order to win, in order to ideals, we dare to fight on the field, learning must also be brave to fight!Success es from hard work!篇四:英语演讲稿5分钟Dear classmates,Every one of us, rich or poor, should at least have one or two good friends. My friends will listen to me when I want to speak, will wipe my eyes when I cry, will take care of me when I am sick, and my friends will go together with me side by side through this journey of life.As students, we could share more time with our friends. The friendship in our young hearts is pure, fresh and simple. I often feel very lucky to have a lot of good friends. Especially when I had Justin as one of my best friends. Justin was my English teacher from the USA. I met him in 1996 when I was a student who couldonly speak very little English. Justin was a vivid young man with a bright smile on his face, and he always had his special way to make the class active and attractive. He taught us English by telling stories, playing games, singing songs, and even dancing. I could still remember very clearly that one afternoon when we fin-ished our class, we went to some other classes to sing songs for them, just like what people do in the states on Christmas Eve. It was so interesting and unforgettable. Justin was an excellent teacher, because he taught us not only how to study English well, but also the way to find out the beauty of the world and the way to be angels to others' lives. I know there was friendship and pure love in our hearts. Facing this valuable emotion neither nationality nor age was important, the real importance lay in faith, under-standing, and care. Justin is the best friend I have ever had, and I know I will cherish those days of staying together with him as the best part of my memory.Friendship is a kind of treasure in our lives. It is actually like a bottle of wine, the longer it is kept, the sweeter it will be. It is also like a cup of tea. When we are thirsty, it will be our best choice, but when we have enough time to enjoy ourselves, it is also the most fragrant drink. However, in this fast-developing modern society, the reality is not that. More and more people forget to enjoy the beauty of life and -the beauty of friendship. They work hard in order to gain a higher position, in the society and to earn more money for their work. Of course, we don't deny that it is important to find a bet-ter place in our lives, but we wish more and more people could pay a little more attention to themselves and their friends. All of us have to spare some time for personal lives. We have to find the chance to express our emotion and love. When staying with our friends, we can release ourselves pletely. We can do whatever we want, we can laugh together, talk together, and even cry to-gether. I should say that being together with our best friends is the most wonderful moment of our lives. As we know, we would feel lonely if we didn't even have a friend. But it doesn't mean we could depend on our friends all the time. There is a famous motto saying that “A friend is like a quilt with cotton wadding, but the real thing that keeps you warm is your own temperature.” It is really true. We have to work hard together with our friends, encourage each other and help each other. When we receive love and friendship, we should repay as much as we can. Finally, let's pray together now that one day, all of us could find the person we want to find, and could enjoy a real beautiful friendship in our lives. Let's pray the flower of friendship be-tween our friends and us would always bloom brightly in our hearts.篇五:英语演讲稿5分钟We Are The World ,We Are The FutureWe are young. “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question. To answer it, first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youth is not a time of life, it’s a state of mind. It’s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. It’s the matter of the will. It’s the fresh neof the deep spring of life.A poet said “To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. Several days ago, I had a chance to listen to a lecture.I learnt a lot there. I’d like to share it with all of you. Let’s show our right palms. We can see three lines that show how our love.career and life is. I have a short line of life. What about yours? I wondered whether we could see our future in this way. Well, let’s make a fist. Where is our future?Where is our love, career, and life? Tell me.Yeah, it is in ourhands. It is held in ourselves. We all want the future to be better than the past. But the future can go better itself. Don’t cry because it is over, smil e because it happened. From the past, we’ve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. We’ve learnt that we can’t choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. Failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it, it does mean you should do it in a differ ent way. Failure doesn’t mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder. As what I said at the beginning, “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. The past has gone. Nothing we do will change it. But the future is in front of us. Believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us. And from today on, let’s be the owners of ourselves, and speak out “We are the world, we are the future.”。

英语课前演讲稿
This I believe
Good morning Mrs Norman and my dear classmates. It is my pleasure to stand in front of the class to talk about the thing I believe.
I believe that if you want to do something better than others, the first thing you should do is to make yourself love it. I learned this from my own experiences. Let me share my stories.
When I was less than 10 years old, I was thin and weak. If somebody caught cold in my class, the second one would be me. From the fifth grade, I wanted to be healthier, so I started to practise running. After a few days, I felt that I liked this sport. For example, if I aced an examination, I would run for fun, and if I had a bad mood, I would run to vent my emotions and get relax. To my surprise, it seemed that suddenly I became good at running. Later I gained the 100 meters female champion in school's sports meeting. That was the first time that I was very much alive to what I believe: if I love something, I would do it well.
The second story happened in grade 3 of my college life. During that period of time, I liked volleyball very much. I chose the volleyball class, and I practised with my friends and teammates every afternoon after class. In weekend, we would play it from 2 o'clock in the afternoon to dark about 7 o'clock when we could not even see the ball. To be honest, I felt quite tired, and my arms ached every day. But I really enjoyed this, and our team got the second place in the school's volleyball match. Now I think the achievement is not the most important. The process that we fighted for it twinkles in my memory.
So if we love to do something, we will pay more attention to it and try our best. No matter the result is we like or not, we will not regret for spending so much time, because we enjoy the process and have fun. On the contrary, if we don't love the thing we do, we will draw back when we meet some obstacles.
In conclusion, I believe that if you want to do something well, you'd better start from loving it. Thank you.。
