This week I talked with a very interesting man named Arnold Connor. He's a baker and he loves his work! Mr Connor says he didn't really decide to be a baker.
It just happened. He says, “I needed a job I could do at night when I was at school. I saw an ad for a baker to work from midnight to 6 in the morning. So I did it.”
He made bread every night for two years while he finished high school. Then he went to a cooking school for a little over a year. He learned how to make all kinds of special cakes and pies and cookies.“I learned a lot,”says Mr Connor. Then he opened his own bakery here in the city. He's been running Connor's Cakes for six years and couldn't be happier. “I love my work so much that I take it home with me every night,' he says, laughing.
